Due to this heavy ecological loss it is very difficult for field director of Panna Tiger Reserve to reccomend the project.

On the other hand. the project proponents aim to inigale 5.75 lakh ha. area in BunCelkhand region and provide drinking water to 1'i.42 lakh people after implementation ofthe project. They have also listed a number of measures to mitigate some of tle losses. Decision in favour or against the project would ] require a holistic overview by a competent body.
