PURPOSE AND SUMMARY OF REPORT 1.1 To identify proposed names for two development sites currently near completion and for Committee to select the names to be assigned. 1.2 To recommend new names for the Street Names Proposals List but that these be reserved for a specific site (Kennet Island). 2. RECOMMENDED ACTION 2.1 That Committee selects one name for each of the new streets in the two developments currently near completion as detailed in Section 4.1 and Appendices 1 and 2. 2.2 In the event that none of the proposed names are considered suitable Committee to select a name from the Street Names Proposals List at Appendix 4. 2.3 That Committee approve the names listed at Appendix 3 be added to the Street Names Proposals List and have these reserved for the “Kennet Island” development. 3. BACKGROUND 3.1 Two sites currently under development need a street name assigned. During the standard two weeks consultation with Ward Councillors and the Lead member for Planning and Transport five additional suggestions were 1 submitted in response. The original consulted name and newly proposed names are offered for selection. 3.2 A report submitted to PAC on 31st March 2010 sort to have additional names added to the Street Names Proposals List for use in Kennet Island. Committee requested that the names be reviewed by Planning Management Panel before approval by the Committee. 3.3 The Planning Management Panel and Officers have completed the work to review the additional names and these are now put forward for a desciosn by the Committee. 4.
