In 2013 Island Press launched the Urban Resilience Project with the support of The Kresge Foundation. The project is working to imagine and inspire the sustainable, equitable, resilient cities of the future.

We bring together leading thinkers with a broad range of expertise— including , community development, and green building—to generate and cross-pollinate ideas. And we share those ideas in a variety of media – books, blog posts, articles, interviews, and webinars. Our URP content has appeared in The Guardian, The Huffi ngton Post, Salon, Next City, Grist and many other online and print publications.
