News on Campus News on Campus Alumni Association scholarships available for current LIFE students Know any current students that may want some financial assistance with their tuition at LIFE? LIFE’s Alumni Association offers scholarships for full-time students in the College of Chiropractic, the College of Graduate Studies and Research, and the College of Undergraduate Studies. There are two $3,000 scholarships available for D.C. students and two $1,000 scholarships available for UG/MS students. Submission deadline is Sept. 9. Please click here for the application. LIFE on the road - Florida Chiropractic Association Convention Last weekend, several members from the LIFE community were in Orlando, Fla. representing the University at the Florida Chiropractic Association’s annual convention at the Peabody Hotel. Alumni Relations Manager Leila Tatum and Traveling Recruiter Eryc Barnes-Jones hosted a booth in the vendor hall. Tatum also hosted an Alumni & Friends Reception for more than 150 people where she gave away several prizes, including LIFE gear, SOT adjusting blocks courtesy of Dr. **** of Sunshine Tables and a Nook e-reader. VP for University Advancement Greg Harris, VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Rob Scott and Board of Trustee member Dr. Kevin Fogarty gave a presentation, sharing updates and pictures of the campus as well as updating the group on what LIFE is doing to advance the profession. Make sure to check our event calendar on our website to find out when we’ll be hosting an event near you. Athletics Update Three LIFE ruggers named to 2011 Rugby World Cup Team Congratulations to LIFE's own Pat Danahy, Paul Emerick and Phil Thiel, who have been named to the final roster of 30 players hand-picked by Eddie O'Sullivan (Head Coach of the USA Rugby Men's National Rugby Union Team, the Eagles) to compete in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. No other club team or college has sent that many players to compete for the US on the world stage, and last weekend's "test match" against Japan marked the first time in history that three LIFE rugby players started an international match together. This is one proud moment for these three players, for LIFE Rugby and for its fans! Read more about the World Cup Team and keep up with their bid for world domination at www.RugbyMag.com. Alumni Updates Georgia Council of Chiropractic (GCC) President Dr. Bob Braile announced the establishment of the GCC Chiropractic Hall of Fame at the 30th Annual Awards Banquet during its annual convention last month. He went on to induct its first two members, Drs. Sid and Nell Williams. All GCC past presidents and past "Chiropractors of the Year" were also inducted, including the 2011 recipient, Dr. Brian Lieberman (‘97) from Rome, Ga. Greening Your Practice Tip 28 – Have a more eco-friendly tailgate party - Football season is upon us. While you’re enjoying the upcoming season here is something you can do to stay loyal to your team and your planet. When preparing your food, make sure you use a propane, gas, or electric grill. These grills burn more efficiently than regular charcoal grills. Also, cut back on the outdoor heaters when it’s cold outside. They may warm you up a little bit, but they’re not very energy efficient. Also, grill better food. Most football fans love hot dogs and hamburgers, but why not grill some fish, seafood, or even produce? “Greening Your Practice,” an ongoing feature of our Alumni & Friends newsletter, focuses on greening your life and your practice. This section offers tips and suggestions on how to reduce your practice’s carbon footprint, save the planet and save money, all at the same time! If you have any green tips, please share them with us. Contact Alumni Relations at 800-543-3203 or [email protected]. Stay Connected! • Pdf Skarb Fana Rugby
SKARB FANA RUGBY Cześć i czołem wszystkim fanom rugby w kraju nad Wisłą! I to prawda.
