By Car: From Manhattan, Take the QUEENS MIDTOWN TUNNEL to I-495 East (Long Island Expressway) towards Montauk.
Take Exit 70, onto Route 111 South.
Take Route 111 South approximately 5 miles to Route 27 East (Montauk Highway).
Follow Route 27 East 30 miles until you hit the town pond in the village of East Hampton.
Turn left keeping the town pond on your right. You will now be on Main Street.
Go straight through the set of lights in town and immediately get into the left-hand lane to bear left at the windmill.
You will pass the windmill on your right and go under the railroad trestle.
Go straight through two sets of lights and bear left onto Three Mile Harbor Road.
Take Three Mile Harbor Road for 1.8 miles and take a left onto Springy Banks Road (If you pass the harbor on your left, you’ve gone too far).
Take an immediate left onto Jonathan Drive. At the end of Jonathan Drive, turn left.
John’s Lane Farm will be the second driveway on the left.
From New York City, it is approximately 100 miles or 2.5 hours.
By Train: Take the Long Island Rail Road (Montauk Line) from New York City to East Hampton. Make sure the train you plan to take actually goes all the way out to East Hampton. Also, you will have to change trains in Jamaica (this is not difficult). http://www.lirr.org/lirr/index.html
