GALLIPOLIS — A Gal- lia County man has been charged with felonious as- sault in the Common Pleas Court of Gallia County fol- lowing an incident that oc- curred late last year. Scott D. Snyder, 22, Gal- lipolis, pleaded not guilty to one count of felonious as- sault on Monday after the al- leged assault of a Vinton man on December 27, 2011. According to a report filed with the Gallia County Sher- iff’s Office, an investigation into the felonious assault be- gan after deputies responded on the night in question to Holzer Medical Center where the victim was being treated. The victim reported that he was assaulted when he and his wife arrived at a home located on Ohio 554 in Bidwell at approximately 9 p.m. on December 27.
