(3) NON-ETICKETABLE AZ CODESHARE FLIGHTS At this time, 29 codeshare flights, holding the AZ code and operated by 7 partner carriers (CA, FB, JU, KU, MA, SU, VE), are still not ‘ETicketable’.

(4) SETTLEMENT OF SPECIAL SERVICES (STCR, OXYG, EXST) As BSP neutral paper travel documents (MPD-MCO) will no longer be available for the settlement of ‘special services’, Alitalia will require Travel Agents to issue a ‘Virtual MPD’ through the ‘BSPLink’ application.

After booking the ‘special service’, as appropriate, and following the procedures currently in place, Travel Agents will only need to issue the Virtual MPD (V-MPD) through the ‘BSPLink’ application, for the correct amount of the applicable charges. Alitalia will verify the amount of the V-MPD and will enter the details in the relevant PNR; a confirmation will be sent back to the Agent through the insertion of ‘SSR’ items in the original PNR, that will generate a GDS queue. More detailed instructions will be published shortly.

Travel Agents will then provide the passenger(s) with a printed copy of the V-MPD, on plain paper, directly from BSPLink, to be collected by the Alitalia airport services on departure.

Alitalia will enable all Agents to access the V-MPD functionality in BSPLink, in connection with the following ‘Reason for Issue’:

A - AIR TRANSPORTATION

C - BAG SHIPPED AS CARGO

G - UP-GRADING

H - UNDER COLLECTIONS

I – TAXES-FEES-CHARGES

J – DEPOSITS-DOWN PAYMENTS

K - REFUNDABLE BALANCES

O - OTHER

U - COLLECTION FOR EXCESS BAGGAGE CHARGES

1 - PREPAID TICKET ADVICE (PTA)

(5) PAPER TICKETS ISSUANCE In some cases, paper tickets might still be needed: a. when the itinerary includes a ‘non-ETicketable’ AZ codeshare flight, as per table under Paragraph (3) above b. when an ‘Infant’ passenger (no seat) is involved, in connection with itineraries that include segments operated by some carriers that do normally have an ‘IET’ agreement with AZ, but that handle the bookings related to this type of passenger, in their own system, in a way that is not currently compatible with the AZ ETicketing application; here below, a list of these carriers:

CARRIERS REQUIRING ISSUANCE OF PAPER TICKETS WHEN ‘INFANT’ PASSENGER TYPE IS INVOLVED (subject to update) OZ Asiana Airlines PG Bangkok Airways PZ TAM Mercosur QF Qantas Airways RG Varig Linhas Aereas SA RO Tarom SU Aeroflot SV Saudi Arabian Airlines TA TACA International Airlines TG Thai Airways International UL SriLankan Airlines UX Air Europa VS Virgin Atlantic Airways WY Oman Air YX Midwest Airlines c. when the itinerary includes a carrier AZ has no ‘IET’ agreement with (not included in the table under Paragraph (2) above.

In all these cases, and provided that AZ is the carrier operating the first flight of the itinerary (as marketing or operating carrier), AZ will create a ‘PTA’ against a V-MPD issued by the Agent. AZ ‘own stock’ paper tickets will be issued at the airport of departure against this PTA. A single PT, and, therefore, a single V-MPD, needs to be issued for all passengers included in the same PNR: the total value of the V-MPD must therefore correspond to the total value of the fares and ‘taxes’ for all passengers involved. The AZ PTA will hold the same reference number of the original V-MPD.

Alitalia will receive an email notification of any V-MPD issued by the Agents through ‘BSPLink’ for the purpose of issuing paper documents on departure, and will automatically create the relevant PTA; a confirmation will be sent back to the Agent through the insertion of ‘SSR’ items in the PNR, that will generate a GDS queue.

(6) POLICY ON ISSUANCE OF ALITALIA TICKETS Travel documents may be validated on Alitalia (055) (a) when the related itinerary includes at least one AZ flight (b) when issued in conjuction with another travel document whose itinerary includes at least one AZ longhaul flight.
