Peanut Budder Rough, a sleek male vocal quartet Jagged Edge formed in Atlanta, Georgia, consisting of identical twin brothers Brandon Case Dinero Casey and Brian Brasco Casey, who moved from their native Hartford, Connecticut; Kyle Norman (a.g.a. Fast), whom they met through church activities; and Richard Wingo (a.k.a. Wingo Dollar), a later addition to the band proposed by Xscape's Kandy Burruss, who took their demo to superproduceer Jermaine Dupree. Jagged Edge signed with Dupri's Columbia-distributed So So Def and released their debut single The Way That You Talk in the summer of 1997, featuring Dupree and Da Brother. It reached the Top 40 on the RCB chart and was also in the pop chart. In early 1998, Jagged Edge released their first album A Jagged Era, which became gold and spawned the top 20 RBC, the top 40 pop hit Gotta Be. Their next single, He Can't Love U, appeared in the fall of 1998 and reached the top five and top 20 of the pop chart, and it's gold in the process. He preceded the band's second album, J.E. Heartbreak (its title nodded to new edition in N.E. Heart Break), which topped the RBC chart and hit the top ten, selling more than two million copies and spawning number one of THE RBC hits Let's Get Married (also Top 20 pop) and Promise (also Top Ten). By the time Jagged Edge's third album, Jagged Little Thrill was released, his single Where the Party At (featuring Nelly) was approaching the top ten of THE RCB in 2001 and was in the top 40 of pop. Hard and Jagged Edge followed in 2003 and 2006, respectively. In 2007, in the Baby Makin' Project, the band switched to the island, but Dupree has since taken over as president of the label's urban division, making the transition from Colombia desirable and natural. The album debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200. Jagged Edge then moved to Slip N Slide, where they released The Remedy in 2011. Three years later, they reunited with Dupree and So So Def for J.E. Heartbreak II. John Bush and William Ruhlmann. Now it seems that the wait should not be long. This news comes as a bit of a surprise, seeing as no singles released and we had not heard of the album before this announcement. Even so, its sure to be exciting news for Rzb purists who have already craved new music from JE. The band last released the album J.E. Heartbreak 2 back in 2014. Heartbreak 2, the boys regrouped for their latest Layover project. Over 16 tracks, buttery crooners give fans a reminder of how grown men should sound after 8 albums. It's nothing short of addictive grooves, mature lyrics and of course a lot of Lovin'. Elephant said he loved Snoop's 'Sensual Seduction' video, Jay recalls. (It's no secret that Ellie loves Snoop, and always says Shizzle.) I broke him the concept of doing the 'Skankers' Soul Train line with all the dancers he shouts at the song. Jay had a bright idea that turned into a major production with dancehall star Cecile in project manager mode, working with stylist Ayana Riviere to conduct fittings and dress rehearsals for a who's who of Jamaican dance, from Shelley Belly, John Hype, and Marvin Dee Dee in TC, Daniboo, Dancing Rebel, and Dolly's body, not to mention crews like Black Bones, Team Royal, and exclusive dancers.

    A multi-level perspective analysis of the change in music consumption 1989-2014 by Richard Samuels Thesis submitted for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy School of Geography and Planning Cardiff University 2018 i Abstract This thesis seeks to examine the historical socio-technical transitions in the music industry through the 1990s and 2000s which fundamentally altered the way in which music is consumed along with the environmental resource impact of such transitions. Specifically, the investigation seeks to establish a historical narrative of events that are significant to the story of this transition through the use of the multi-level perspective on socio-technical transitions as a framework. This thesis adopts a multi-level perspective for socio-technical transitions approach to analyse this historical narrative seeking to identify key events and actors that influenced the transition as well as enhance the methodological implementation of the multi-level perspective. Additionally, this thesis utilised the Material Intensity Per Service unit methodology to derive several illustrative scenarios of music consumption and their associated resource usage to establish whether the socio-technical transitions experienced by the music industry can be said to be dematerialising socio-technical transitions. This thesis provides a number of original empirical and theoretical contributions to knowledge. This is achieved by presenting a multi-level perspective analysis of a historical narrative established using over 1000 primary sources. The research identifies, examines and discusses key events, actors and transition pathways denote the complex nature of dematerialising socio-technical systems as well as highlights specifically the influence different actors and actor groups can have on the pathways that transitions take.

"Jagged Edge" is a movie like that, a murder thriller that dangles one clue after another before our eyes, daring us to decide who committed the murder. The machinery in this movie is so efficient that we don't know the answer until the very last shot - and I'll be getting back to that last shot in a moment. The film stars Jeff Bridges as a powerful San Francisco publisher whose wife is brutally murdered in their isolated oceanside home. After an investigation reveals that he stood to inherit his wife's entire fortune, he is arrested and charged with the murder. Glenn Close plays his defense attorney. At first, she insists she has retired from courtroom cases, but then Bridges convinces her that he is innocent. And before long, she is also convinced that they are in love. The Close character stands at the center of the film. Is she defending the man she loves against the unjust charges against him? Or is she defending a cold-blooded killer, who might murder her just as he murdered his wife? There are moments in "Jagged Edge" when either of these possibilities seems convincing, but most of the time we just don't know. There's a lot of evidence on both sides. Close's courtroom opponent is the assistant DA (Peter Coyote). They worked together a few years ago on a case where, she believes, he concealed evidence in order to win a conviction.
