A for-profit business which publishes a monthly regional magazine for women. The Women’s Times seeks to tell women’s stories and share resources with women in a regional format that respects the fact that women share issues but have varied experiences and don’t all think alike. Interns are given the opportunity to learn how a monthly publication is put together and how a small business operates. Intern work is varied including some administrative tasks, editorial support (dealing with press releases, composing calendar entries, research, reporting) and miscellaneous work in the production/art department.
