    Monty Python Tops Fave Brit-flick Poll February 1, 2004 Amazon.co.uk and IMDB announce top 40 favourite British films of all-time Monty Python and the Holy Grail has been voted the favourite British film of all time--knocking Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange into second place with more than double the votes--in a poll conducted by Amazon.co.uk and the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), which coincides with the BAFTA awards this Sunday February 15. The film was the comfortable winner, taking a quarter of the total votes in the poll of over 7,000 people conducted by Amazon.co.uk and IMDB. Students may have the opportunity to coach their song. Nancy Anderson is a 20-year veteran singer, actor and dancer of Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional stages. Last year Anderson understudied Glenn Close in the Broadway revival of “Sunset Boulevard” followed by a Helen Hayes nominated performance as Gladys in “The Pajama Game” at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. She made her Broadway debut as Mona in “A Class Act,” played the roles of Helen and Eileen in the Broadway revival of “Wonderful Town” and starred as Lois/Bianca in the national tour and West End premiere of Michael Blakemore’s and Kathleen Marshall’s Broadway revival of “Kiss Me Kate,” for which she received Helen Hayes and Olivier Award nominations. Great Performances audiences are familiar with her London debut as Lois/Bianca, which was filmed for PBS in 2002 as well as her featured performance in the Carnegie Hall concert of “South Pacific” starring Reba McIntyre and Brian Stokes Mitchell. Other television appearances include Madame Secretary (The Middle Way, “Alice”) and PBS’s Broadway: The American Musical as the voice of Billie Burke. Anderson is a three-time Drama Desk Award Nominee; in 2000 for best supporting actress as eight female roles in Jolson & Co., in 2006 for best leading actress in Fanny Hill and in 2017 for Best Solo Performance in the one-woman musical “The Pen.” She has thrice been nominated for the Helen Hayes Award: in addition to last year’s “The Pajama Game,” she was also nominated for her role in “Side by Side by” Sondheim at Signature Theatre in 2011.

    The Full Monty PLEASE be prepared with your song when you come to auditions. We may not have time to teach anything depending on how many people audition. If two songs are listed for a character, learn the first one for auditions. The second song will only be used if we need to hear more. Vocals/harmonies for this show are difficult and on the higher side (especially Jerry). You must be able to sing. Reading music is not necessary, but being able to learn parts by listening is a must (not just listening to the CD, but to parts played during rehearsal). Singing only with the accompanist. No acapella or singing with pre-recorded music. You may be asked to sing other songs from the show with no preparation. You will be taught the music should this be the case.     Electronic Media Kit JON LINDSTROM Actor I Writer I Producer I Director Born and raised in a small town in the Pacific Northwest, Emmy nominated actor, Jon Lindstrom developed a love for acting and music at an early age. He took that passion to the University of Oregon theater and music schools. Soon after, he moved to Los Angeles, where he studied with some of the most prominent acting teachers of the day, including Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Jeff Corey and the teacher he credits with influencing him the most, Bob McAndrew. Jon has since created the kind of diversified entertainment career that one can only define as a “multi-hyphenate.” An actor, writer, director, producer and musician, he has seen great success in every one of his artistic pursuits. In late 2008, over dozens of candidates, Jon was offered the pivotal “tent-pole” character of Craig Montgomery on CBS-TV’s long-established hit daytime drama, “As The World Turns.” The character of Craig, with its long and colorful history, is considered one of the best men-you- love-to-hate roles in the history of TV soaps. In 2010, Jon received an Emmy nomination as Lead Actor In a Drama Series for his portrayal of Craig. Recent years have been packed with diverse projects in television, film and shorts. Jon worked on the tele-films “Ice Dreams” for the Hallmark Channel with director David Burton Morris, and Lifetime TV’s “While the Children Sleep” with director Russell Mulcahy. During a career that spanned over 70 years, Jimmy amassed a network of premier legitimate theatres including nine on Broadway: the Brooks Atkinson, Gershwin, Lunt-Fontanne, Marquis, Minskoff, Nederlander, Neil Simon, Richard Rodgers, and the world famous Palace; in Los Angeles: The Pantages; in London: the Adelphi, Aldwych, and Dominion; and in Chicago: the Auditorium, Broadway Playhouse, Cadillac Palace, and CIBC Theatres, and the Oriental Theatre which this year was renamed the James M. Nederlander Theatre in Jimmy’s honor. He produced over one hundred acclaimed Broadway musicals and plays including Annie, Applause, La Cage aux Folles, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Me and My Girl, Nine, Noises Off, Peter Pan, Sweet Charity, The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickelby, The Will Rogers Follies, Woman of the Year, and many more. “Generous,” “loyal” and “trusted” are just a few of the accolades his friends use to describe him. She began her career at the age of 10, appearing worldwide in a number of commercials. Landing her first starring role in Fox’s “The Zack Files” series, Newbrough played Alice in Wonderland alongside Robert Clark, Michael Seater and Jack Epstein. She then landed a minor role in the TV family film “Get a Clue,” starring Lindsay Lohan and Brenda Song. In 2004, Newbrough earned her first starring role in Lifetime’s drama pilot “The Coven.” Her next role was guest starring in an episode of “1-800-Missing,” after which she landed a recurring role in “Radio Free Roscoe” and “The Best Years.” She also appeared on “Degrassi: The Next Generation” before getting her big break in the 2007 Syfy film Kaw, opposite Sean Patrick Flannery and Rod Taylor. Newbrough scored the role on the award-winning Canadian sport comedy “Rent-a-Goalie” and after the third season wrapped, she moved to Los Angeles where she captured the lead role in The CW drama series “Privileged” in 2008-2009.
