Part of calculating the insurance premium is knowing the replacement cost of a home. The California Department of Insurance has implemented new regulations in “Standards and Training for Estimating Replacement Value on Homeowners’ Insurance.” The regulations establish new levels of care for agents and insurers as follows; • Resident fire and casualty broker-agents and personal lines broker-agents are to satisfactorily
