Gillette preparatory curriculum, provides a supportive environment for students to build Head of Upper School confidence in their unique identity and talents, enlarge their sense of community, deepen social and moral awareness, explore creativity through the arts, and develop athletic prowess and team spirit. In order to graduate, students are required to complete 222480 four years of English, three years of history, three years of foreign language (which CEEB CODE sometimes includes classes taken in eighth grade at Bancroft), three years of math, three years of laboratory science, one year of performing or visual arts, and four years of physical education, plus electives to meet the required minimum twenty credits. 16 AP courses are available to qualified sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a senior capstone project, seniors are required to participate in a co-op program in May, in which each www.bancroftschool.org senior proposes and then engages in various community service projects. GRADING AND RANK THE CURRICULUM IN CLASS ADVANCED COURSE OFFERINGS There are 54 members of the Class of 2011.

Bancroft School does not rank its students and ENGLISH AP English Language, AP English Literature uses a uniform unweighted marking system, based on a 4.0 scale, which ranges from A to F; FOREIGN LANGUAGE French III-Accelerated, AP French Language, A+ is not used. Advanced Studies in French Literature, Latin IV, AP Latin Vergil, Spanish III-Accelerated, High Honors requires an overall average of 3.7, AP Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, while Honors requires a 3.4 average. Honor Chinese (for seniors only) Roll is reported at the end of the fall and spring semesters. DISCLOSURE POLICY Bancroft School views discipline as part of the educational process and normally an internal matter. However, when colleges ask admissions candidates for information about their high school disciplinary records, students are expected to respond honestly. In such a case, the student should explain in a letter any action that involves a probation, suspension, or dismissal.

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Bancroft School does not report waivers or accommodations made for medical reasons or for learning disabilities without the explicit consent of the student and family in question. However, the school believes it is in the best interest of the student to disclose to colleges the conditions under which they learn best, and Bancroft School will advise students to communicate their needs directly to the colleges to which they apply.
