    2006 Big 12 Softball Championship ASA Hall of Fame Stadium Oklahoma City, Okla. ~ May 11 Game 5 -- No. 5 Oklahoma 13, #4 Texas A&M 6 No. 5 seed Oklahoma (36-18-1) used a six-run second inning to defeat No. 4 seed Texas A&M (32-16) 13- 6. The Sooners got four RBI each from designated hitter Samantha Ricketts and fi rst baseman Mariee Mena. Ricketts hit her 10th double of the year and ninth home run. Mena had a three-run triple in the second. Ricketts’ homer scored OU’s three runs in the top of the seventh. TAMU shortstop Holly Ridley also homered in the game, her fi fth of the season, and scored another run. Right- fi elder Rocky Spencer knocked in four runs, three off her 10th double of the year in the bottom of the fi rst. Norrelle Dickson, Amber Spaulding, Jamie Fox and Kristin Vesely scored two runs a piece for the Sooners. D. J. Mathis (13-6) picked up the win for Oklahoma. Of the six runs she was charged with, only one was earned. She gave up nine hits, struck out three and walked two. Texas A&M’s Amanda Scarborough (15-9) suffered the loss with eight runs, fi ve earned, in two innings. Lisa Gorzycki pitched the fi nal fi ve innings with fi ve runs, four earned.
