DON ABRAMSON WHP San Francisco 2 [email protected] Don is involved with efforts to provide affordable housing to those in the nonprofit sector and government. He currently is vice president of the Rhoda Goldman Plaza assisted living facility in San Francisco. He was a founding board member and a past chair of American Jewish World Service and played a role in creating the Center for Global Development think tank. He originated a supplemental, alternative Jewish education program in Marin County, CA, involving Marin congregations and the Marin JCC that has become Shalom Explorers. Don is involved with several social impact startups including ones that involve a shared housing matching platform and effective treat and prevention of lymphedema. He has traded stock options for over 40 years and was managing member of an options trading group.

MARK ACHLER WHP Chicago II-99 [email protected] Mark is the Managing Director of Math Venture Partners, an early to mid-stage technology venture capital fund and an Adjunct Lecturer of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business. He is a serial entrepreneur who started four companies, managed three venture funds and was Head of Innovation for Redbox. Mark is a frequent speaker, resource and ardent champion for the entrepreneurial community, where he is a mentor for TechStars, the Junto Institute, and several other entrepreneurial organizations. He is currently the President of Mishkan and on the Executive Committe of Upstart.

NAOMI ADLAND WGF Class 25 – DAVIDSON SCHOLAR [email protected] Naomi most recently served as Director of Program Operations for the Shalom Hartman Institute of , where she managed SHI’s programmatic presence across North America. Naomi completed a dual-masters program in Nonprofit Management and Hebrew and Judaic Studies at New York University. Prior to graduate school, she spent two years working as the Assistant Director of Recruitment for the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, where she was responsible for executing Pardes’ North American recruitment activities. A proud alumna of Brandeis University and then Avodah: the Jewish Service Corps, Naomi is always happy to engage in conversations about Judaism and social justice and now serves on the board of Avodah. In her free time, she can be found walking in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, knitting increasingly complex blankets and baking her way through the Smitten Kitchen. ILANA AISEN WGF Class 20 – DAVIDSON SCHOLAR [email protected] Ilana is the CEO of JPRO Network, the organization that is of, by, and for those who work in the Jewish nonprofit sector in the United States and Canada. With over 300 affiliated organizations, JPRO offers its members opportunities to grow their careers, build their networks and strengthen our field. Before beginning her tenure at JPRO at the end of 2016, Ilana served as Director of Experiential Education at UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. She was part of the founding staff team at Repair the World and concluded her tenure there as Executive Vice President. Ilana started her career at American Jewish World Service, where she planned and led service trips, developed curriculum and trained educators. Ilana holds master’s degrees in Nonprofit Management and Judaic studies from New York University. She lives in Toronto with her husband Eli and their children, Shai and Avital.

NISSIM ALON WSL 2016 [email protected] Nissim is the Head of Division at the Prime Minister’s Office. Nissim has served in a variety of management positions in the Prime Minister’s Office, Including Head of Policy Making and Head of the Management and Leadership School. He holds a BA in Middle East Studies from the Hebrew University and an MA from the School of Political Sciences of the University of Haifa. Nissim lives in Tzur Hadassa with his family.

JEFFREY ARONHEIM WHP Denver 14 [email protected] As a licensed mortgage professional, Jeffrey helps individuals realize their dreams through financing backed by real estate. His focus is to ensure his clients are well informed consumers by educating them on the various loan strategies and advising of the loan process.

ZOYA AZGAD WIF Class 5 [email protected] Zoya is Director of the Quality and Innovation Division for Holon Municipality and is responsible for managing quality enhancement programs for managers, leading service improvement initiatives, defining innovation challenges and leading programs of innovation implementation. She is also preparing standard operation procedures. Zoya holds a BA and an MA in psychology from Bar-Ilan University and an MPA from Harvard University. The projects which Zoya has initiated and leads have resulted in Holon Municipality receiving numerous awards from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Israel Management Center, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as the Standards Institution of Israel.

KEREN SHECHTER AZULAY WSL 2018 [email protected] Keren is the VP General Director of the Southern district at Maccabi Healthcare Services, the second largest HMO in Israel. After a decade of managerial experiences in the private business sector, Keren joined the healthcare arena and took care of various positions in the field, as well as in the headquarters as a Chief Strategic Officer at Maccabi. JEFF BARTOS WHP Philadelphia 16 [email protected] Jeff and his wife Sheryl have been married since 1997 and are very proud of their two daughters, Emily and Sarah. Jeff and Sheryl own and operate their own real estate acquisition and development company with active projects in Southeastern and Central Pennsylvania. Early in his career, Jeff was an attorney and then a senior executive at both public and private companies. In 2018, Jeff was the Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania after winning a four-way primary election with 47% of the vote and 57 of Pennsylvania’s 67 Counties. Jeff and his family are deeply committed to civic engagement and community service. Their charitable work is focused on Israel advocacy, education and supporting at-risk children. In 2016, Jeff and his family led the fundraising effort to build a new kindergarten on the Nevatim Air Force Base in Israel and the family continues to support projects throughout Israel. Locally, Jeff has served on the Board of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and Jewish Federation Real Estate. The family also supports the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, an organization dedicated to disrupting terrorist networks around the world.

JUDY BAUM WHP New York 5 [email protected] Judy has been a lay leader in synagogue and federation for the past 25+ years and served on many committees and as chair of new leadership and women’s campaigns. She is currently co-chair of the King David Society and on the leadership, marketing and public policy committees at UJA. She is also an advisory board member for the Sid Jacobson JCC. Judy served on the JFNA Young Leadership Cabinet and is a National Women’s Philanthropy alumni. She was co-chair of the 2016 International Lion of Judah Conference and is former President of Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation in Old Westbury, NY.

MARIA BEN-ASSA WIF Class 27 [email protected] Maria has two decades of experience in healthcare management and is passionate about healthcare improvement through the integration of technology and innovation. Maria earned her Pharmacy degree and a Master in Health Administration in Israel and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School. While in Boston, Maria worked at several academic and healthcare organizations, integrating her clinical experience with her passion for data analytics. Prior to that, Maria served in various positions at the IDF’s Medical Corps, leading large-scale projects on patients’ health-improvement. Currently she is leading the establishment of the Medical Technologies and Research Division’s HealthHub for the Ministry of Health.

NANCY BEREN WHP Houston [email protected] Nancy worked from 2005-2014 in the Mayor’s Office of Houston, TX. She has extensive volunteer experience, including serving in many different roles for the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, the Robert M. Beren Academy, United Orthodox Synagogues, Orayta, Torah Study for Young Men and AIPAC. Nancy earned a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA From Wellesley College. AUDRA BERG WHP Chicago 06 [email protected] Audra is Vice President, Leadership Engagement and Board Relations, at the Jewish United Fund/ Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, spearheading all aspects of leadership development involving hundreds of professional and volunteer leaders throughout JUF and its agencies. She manages operations for JUF’s 90-member Board of Directors, heads leadership engagement and talent development, and oversees training throughout the organization. Previously, Audra held positions in both campaign and leadership development at Advancing Women Professionals and the Jewish Community, the Makor/Steinhardt Center of the 92nd Street Y, and United Jewish Communities. Audra graduated from the University of Florida and is a die-hard Gator fan. She also is a Board Chair of JPRO Network and is a former member of the Board of Directors of Temple Sholom of Chicago. Audra is married to Josh Fienberg and together they have two sons, Jonah (14) and Levi (11). They live in the Roscoe Village neighborhood in Chicago, where Audra subjects her family to her experiments with healthy recipes and allows her boys to play football in the house.

DEBBIE BERMAN WHP Chicago I-99 [email protected] Debbie is the co-chair of Jenner & Block’s Complex Commercial Litigation, Trade Secrets and Restrictive Covenants and Media and First Amendment Practices. She assists clients with complex commerical matters, such as broken deals or business relationships, and has deep experience in trade secrets matters as well as defamation and First Amendment-related tort cases, among others.

ALISON BETTS WHP Phoenix 09 [email protected] Alison has been a volunteer in the local Jewish community since she moved to Phoenix in 2006. She has served on the Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix. In 2009, Alison learned about PJ Library and started her journey to bring the program to Phoenix. Since that time, PJ Library has grown to serve over 5,000 children across the Valley. Alison continues to lead fundraising efforts and has raised over $1.3M for PJ Library Phoenix since its inception. Alison is also involved in Women’s Leadership Institute and is a fundraising chairman for Cherokee Elementary School. In her professional life, Alison works for American Express. The icing on her cake is her wonderful husband, Adrian, and her sons Elliot and Cameron.

MIJAL BITTON WGF Class 24 – DAVIDSON SCHOLAR [email protected] Mijal is a Fellow in Residence and faculty member at the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America, and the Rosh Kehilla (communal leader) and co-founder of the Downtown Minyan in . Through her fellowship and teaching, Mijal explores new paradigms of Jewish identity for diverse Jewish populations and expanding normative conceptions such as “Jewishness,” “religion,” and “tradition.” Mijal received a BA from Yeshiva University and earned her doctorate from New York University, where she conducted an ethnographic study of a Syrian Sephardic Jewish community. In 2018 Mijal was selected for inclusion in ‘36 under 36’ in New York Jewish Week. She lives in Manhattan with her husband WGF Alum Sion Setton (Class 32) and their children. SHARI BRANDT WHP Greater Metrowest 15 [email protected] Shari is a partner with more than 20 years of experience representing institutions and individuals in high stakes commercial civil litigation, regulatory and white collar criminal proceedings, and internal investigations, often in matters involving financial services and complex financial products. She regularly defends matters that proceed simultaneously in regulatory, white collar defense and civil litigation forums. She represents clients in civil litigations at the federal and state level, arbitrations and mediations, as well as defending against investigations by the CFTC, SEC, FINRA, United States Attorney’s Office, Department of Justice, State Attorney’s General offices and other governmental and self-regulatory bodies. Shari currently serves as a member of RK&O’s Executive Committee and is rated by Chambers USA and Legal 500. HAGAY CARMI WIF Class 30 [email protected] Hagay currently heads a new department in the IDF, responsible for addressing unprecedented national security challenges. He joined the IDF in 2000 after completing his BSc in Engineering under the academic reserve program (Atuda) and has served in a variety of leadership positions in the SOD. Throughout his service, Hagay has contributed significantly to major projects, six of which won the Israel Defense Prize. Hagay holds an MA in Electro-Optical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University and an MBA from Bar-Ilan University. He volunteers in community initiatives, focusing on immigrant absorption and informal education for schoolchildren.

DAVID CHAIKOF WHP Toronto 2 [email protected] David is the managing partner of Torys New York, a Canadian and US law firm, providing strategic leadership for the firm’s operation and expansion in United States. While in this position, he maintains a practice advising public companies and private equity firms on mergers and acquisitions and securities laws. He advises a wide range of companies with pension plans on their investment activities across various industries as well as boards of directors and special committees in connection with securities laws and corporate governance. He has experience as counsel to companies and U.S. and Canadian investment banks stemming from his participation in more than 300 Canadian, U.S. and international equity and debt offerings. OFER CHEN WIF Class 27 [email protected] After several years working as a clinical internal medicine specialist, Ofer has made the decision to combine clinical work with medical management. Over the last decade, Ofer served in the position of Head of Department of Community Health in Maccabi Healthcare Services, Israel’s second largest HMO. In this role he was in charge of Maccabi’s family physicians sector, developing new models for community healthcare and providing better management of chronic diseases. Ofer’s next challenge was a unique opportunity: taking part, as hospital deputy director, in building and opening Israel’s brand new public hospital in Ashdod, the first public hospital to be opened in over 40 years.

FRAYDA GONSHOR COHEN WGF Class 20 – DAVIDSON SCHOLAR [email protected] Frayda is a Senior Project Leader at Rosov Consulting. She received her doctorate in Education at Mills College and she studied Talmud and Halakhah in the Scholar’s Circle at Drisha Institute for Jewish Education. Frayda has worked in a variety of formal and informal Jewish educational settings. She is also one of the founders of Kevah, where she helped design and implement the Kevah Teaching Fellowship. She lives in Berkeley, California, with her husband Rabbi Yonatan Cohen their four young children.

OFER COHEN WSL 2019 [email protected] Ofer is Director of the Ramla Regional Branch of the National Insurance Institute, a former Tel Aviv Branch Director and Colonel (res.) After a long military service, in the last position Ofer was Head of Reserve Human Resources Planning Branch. A graduate of Human Resources Management from Ben Gurion University, Ofer has also an MA in Public Policy with a specialization in Welfare from Tel Aviv University. He is married and lives in Rosh Ha’ayin with his family.

UDIT CORINALDIS-SIRKIS WSL 2019 [email protected] Udit is the Legal Advisor of the President and Head of the pardons department in the President’s office. Prior to her current position, she served as a senior attorney in the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law in the State Attorney’s Office. Udit holds an LLB, LLM and an MA in criminology (with honors) from Hebrew University, where she also taught in the Law Faculty. She was a fellow at the Mandel Leadership Institute. She lives in with her husband and four children.

BETH COUSENS WGF Class 14 [email protected] Beth is Associate Vice President, Jewish Education & Engagement, at The Jewish Federations of North America. She supports and stimulates Jewish Federations’ work in all kinds of Jewish education and engagement efforts (from vision-driven grantmaking to measurement to new horizons in Jewish education, from cradle to grave, from camp to classroom). She came to JFNA after working in Jewish education policy for 20 years: first with Hillel International as an strategic consultant and then for The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. She has a particular love for how platform organizations can build infrastructure that supports people’s exploration of Judaism on their terms and in third spaces. Her PhD from Brandeis University focused on adults in their 20s and 30s and Jewish learning; she also received an MA in Jewish Studies and an MSW through the Baltimore Institute for Jewish Communal Service. An author of various research studies and articles, she lives in San Francisco with her husband and two PJ Library lovers, Milo and Sela. THE WEXNER FOUNDATION LEADERSHIP SKILLS SUMMIT

OMRI DAGAN WSL 2016 [email protected] Omri is the Director of Israel’s Civil-Service Cadet Program, a unique and cutting-edge initiative within the government sphere that is aimed to groom public service elite. He serves in the Civil-Service Commission in the Prime Minister Office and has overall responsibility for establishing, shaping, crystalizing and operating the Cadet Program, as well as monitoring and supervison, including the cadets’ placement within various Governmental units. In 2014, Omri was chosen to be one of the 40 promising young leaders in Israel on behalf of THE MARKER magazine. Previously, Omri was the Vice President of The Reut-Institute. Omri holds an MA in Conflict Research, Management and Resolution and a BA in Political Science and Middle East Studies. Both degrees were received with honors from the Hebrew University. Omri lives in Tel Aviv with his family

DALIT DROR WIF Class 9 [email protected] Dalit is the chief legal advisor of the Ministry of the Environment and heads its legal department. She is responsible for all the Legal Aspects of the Ministry’s Activities, including writing legal opinions on Environmental Issues, preparing draft laws for the government to be submitted to the Parliament on Environmental Subjects, responding to private Parliament members’ bills on those subjects, representing the government in Parliamentary Committees on Environmental Issues, bringing environmental offenses to trial and ratification of international treaties and agreements. Prior to this position, she was a Senior Director at the Department of Legislation and Legal Counsel at the Ministry of Justice, where most of her work was in the area of legal freedoms and constitutional law. Another of Dalit’s areas of expertise is planning law and she was a member of the National Planning Council and chairperson of its sub-committee on appeals for almost 20 years. She joined the Ministry of Justice as a special assistant to the Attorney General after heading the Department of Building and Planning Law with the Ministry of the Interior, and serving as an officer in the military prosecution of the IDF. Dalit received an LLB and an LLM from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

DEBORAH EISENBACH-BUDNER WGF Class 4 [email protected] Deborah became Havurah Shalom’s first Education Director in 2001. She studied and trained for eight years in the fields of Jewish education, identity construction, community organization and Jewish Studies, earning an MA in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies (Brandeis University), an MA in Jewish Education (Brandeis), and a BA in Comparative Religion with a focus on Gender Studies (Oberlin College). She also studied classical Jewish texts, history and culture in Israel (Pardes Institute, International Youth Leaders Institute) and general religious studies at Portland State University. Deborah recently completed an 18-month Jewish Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher Training course with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality and the Awakened Heart Project. Deborah also learned about religion, spirituality, international power, poverty, and cross-cultural communication through traveling independently through China, Nepal, Tibet and India for most of a year, working and studying in Israel for two and half years, and living with her family in Kazakhstan for three months. Over the years Deborah has taught many classes about making Judaism work well within family life and using Jewish values for positive parenting. She is currently interested in the spirituality of parenting and other everyday occupations and is working on a curriculum for Jewish mindful parenting. Deborah’s life partner is Steven Eisenbach-Budner. They are lucky to be the parents of Tamir, Lev and Roza, ages 11-20. THE WEXNER FOUNDATION LEADERSHIP SKILLS SUMMIT

GILAD EISIN WIF Class 16 [email protected] Gilad was a Colonel (res.) in the Israeli Defense Forces, retired after 30 years in service. During his service he served in the infantry and the Intelligence Corps. Among his military positions, Gilad served as an intelligence officer in the regular paratroopers’ brigade, as a section chief in MI Research and Production Division, branch chief in the central collection agency, the Galilee Division inteligence officer, the Central Command Intelligence Officer and Intelligence assistant to the Prime Minister. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) from Technion and a teaching diploma in Electrical Engineering. Gilad also holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is married and has three kids.

ANAT EKKA-ZOHAR WSL 2017 [email protected] Anat is now the Head of Quality, Evaluation and Research at Maccabi Healthcare Services. Previously, she was Deputy Director and the Head of Quality, Patient Safety and Service Administration in the Ministry of Health. She led the Israeli program of health care quality indicators. Anat holds an MPH and a PhD from the Hebrew University. She is a senior epidemiology researcher and a member of the bureau of health care quality indicators at the OECD committee. Anat lives in Maccabim with her family.

HILA ENGELHARD WIF Class 19 [email protected] Hila combines a career in diplomacy with adult leadership training. As part of her Diplomatic career, Hila is now establishing a new department for Economic and Scientific Affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Berlin. In past years Hila coordinated Israel’s relations with China at the MFA’s division for Economic Diplomacy and takes special pride in having directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Cadets course, the prestigious entry course to this agency’s fascinating service. She also served as Israel’s spokesperson in Mexico, Head of the Music section in the MFA’s bureau of Culture and Science, desk officer in the Africa Division and desk officer for Economic Relations with the Middle East. Since 2008, Hila has taught Adaptive Leadership in Israel in organizations and leadership programs. Hila serves as part of the Masa Global Leadership Faculty. Hila holds a BA from the Hebrew University in Studies of Islam and the Middle East and a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School. She is certified in Group Relations and coaching. Hila is dedicated to enabling deep learning and development processes for herself and for others. She is married and a proud (if sometimes tired) mother of three.

RICK ENTIN WHP LA/Bear Stearns [email protected] Rick has been involved in various leadership positions in the Los Angeles community including: Past Chair of the Real Estate and Construction Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, Past Chairman of the Board of Hillel 818, Past Trustee of Kehillat Israel in Pacific Palisades, Annual Giving Chair for Marquez Charter Elementary School, Chair of two Missions to Israel, Past Member of the College Campus Activities Committee of the Jewish Federation and Past of the Israel Matters Committee Chair at Kehillat Israel. Rick recently was certified as a faciliator by Resetting the Table. He lives in Pacific Palisades, California and is married Dana Entin, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Parent Educator. CHAVA ERLICH-ROGINSKY WIF Class 10 [email protected] Chava is Head Planner for the Tel Aviv district planning committee at the Ministry of Finance. Prior to that, she served as the Head Engineer of the City Petach-Tikva, the fifth largest city in Israel. Prior to that, Chava worked at several municipalities as the chief planner and city architect. She received her BSc in Architecture and MSc and PhD in Urban Planning from the Technion in Haifa. She holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

DEANNE ETSEKSON WHP Seattle [email protected] Deanne was born in New York and raised in the Netherlands by her Dutch, Holocaust refuge mom. She moved to Seattle in high school where she attended college and law school. She is married and a proud mom of three adult children and a beauful baby grandson.

DARREN FINDLING WHP 2017 [email protected] Born in the backseat of a 1969 Buick Regal, Darren’s mother says the world was ready for him faster than her body was. She was right. When he was three, Darren’s Jamaican nanny brought him to an inner-city Baptist church where he promptly danced down the aisles. As a teenager, he charmed his way into a hotel to hang out with the Jackson Five. As an adult, Darren bought a beat-up, 40-passenger bus that he painted maize and blue to drive the neighborhood kids to U of M football games. He has appeared on The View and on the front pages of The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Darren is both a quick thinker and talker and is obsessed with puns, very much to the dismay of his four children. He takes the phrase “it can’t be done” as a challenge in both his professional and personal life. When he’s not in court or behind a desk, Darren can be found spending time with his family, bungee jumping, sky diving, heli-skiing, trekking mountains, running marathons and re-inventing philanthropy. Usually performing a few of these simultaneously.

MICHAL FINK WSL 2015 [email protected] Michal is the Deputy General Manager for Strategy and Policy Planning at the Ministry of Economy and Industry. Previously, she worked as Head of Organizational Methods at the Ministry of Industry Trade and Labor. Michal has a BA in Business Administration and History of the Arts from the Hebrew University and an MBA from the Hebrew University. She and her family live in Jerusalem. JULIE FINKELSTEIN WGF Class 23 – DAVIDSON SCHOLAR [email protected] Julie is the Director of Leadership Development at the Foundation for Jewish Camp where she supports Jewish camps and their leaders across North America. Prior to FJC, she was the Associate Director of Slingshot, where she managed a network of next-generation funders, innovative Jewish organizations and entrepreneurs. Previously, Julie was the Assistant Director of Capital Camps and got her professional start at Maryland Hillel and Hillel International. With her combined passion for Jewish life and education, Julie helped create Brawerman Elementary School, a reform Jewish Day School affiliated with Wilshire Boulevard Temple. After its inception, she worked with administrators and the Board to advance the curriculum, establish professional development, enable secondary school placement and develop fundraising and marketing plans. In addition to co-chairing missions for the Lions of Judah, Julie served eight years on the Caring for Jews in Need Allocations Committee at the Jewish Federation. She served as a mentor for the Federation’s Leadership Institute and served on the Special Needs Task Force. As a member of the National Council of AIPAC, Julie works hands-on to educate Jews and non-Jews about the need to strengthen, protect and promote the US-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of Israel and the United States. Julie is the Board Chair of UCLA Hillel. When not baking challah, cheering for the Los Angeles Rams or rooting on the UCLA Bruins, she enjoys visiting her two sons who live out of state. She made aliyah to Israel from Argentina with her husband and earned her a BA in social work from Haifa University, and then her MSW at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. In Israel she implemented her first intergenerational program between a high school and and the elder residents in a retirement home. She specialized in gerontological social work and family therapy. She previously served as Director of the Moriah Early Childhood Center, Program Director of the Jewish Early Childhood Education Initiative (JECEI) and developed and led the Covenant Fellows mid-career Leadership Program, a national fellowship program. Diana worked at Rodfei Zedek, in Hyde Park, IL, as the Director of Community Learning. Her consulting experience includes all movements from JCCs to Orthodox schools. Diana is married to Daniel Ganger and is the thrilled grandmother of seven.

NAOMI GEFEN WIF Class 19 [email protected] Naomi is the Deputy Director General for Clinical Services in ALYN Hospital. ALYN is the only pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation hospital in Israel and treats children with physical and cognitive impairments. Naomi’s responsibilities include supervision of all clinical services in the hospital and she specializes in assistive technology for children with disabilities, working together with the Ministry of Health to improve services for children with disabilities. In addition, Naomi continues with her clinical work - evaluations of children with special needs in the field of assistive technology, representing hospital and occupational therapy on governmental and non-governmental committees, and researching and lecturing at national and international conferences. Naomi holds a MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the Hebrew University. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Hebrew University. She is a doctoral candidate at Haifa University, modifying and testing a simulator for powered wheelchairs for children with severe disabilities.

Shoshana’s background in leadership training comes from two decades working in the field. She served as Vice-President of the Wexner Heritage Foundation and is a founding faculty member of the Senior Faith Leaders Programme, a prestigious interfaith leadership training program in the UK. She also serves on the faculty of Sarum College (a Christian theological seminary in Salisbury) and sits on the International Jewish Committee on Interreligious Consultations (IJCIC). Roy is currently the co-founder of Medint, a company that provides actionable, time-sensitive data to patients suffering from complicated diseases. Previously, Roy has been the co-founder and CEO of the Cross Lab Network, a global network of maker-spaces designed to provide wide-spread access to digital fabrication technology. Prior to that, Roy has been the CEO of the Reut Institute, one of Israel’s leading strategy and policy groups. At the age of 29, Roy was appointed to the position of the legal advisor of the Israeli national security council and has served there as a senior member for seven years. During his tenure, Roy worked under the Olmert, Sharon and Netanyahu administrations on various legal, policy and national security issues. She served as a campaign manager and since 2017 has been a consultant to the Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, where she focused on strategic reorganization of the department, new innovations and housing issues impacting those with severe mental illness. Laura is the founder of a new Gap Year program at Duke University that seeks to encourage young people to take a gap year between high school and college to grow, explore and serve. Laura also serves on numerous nonprofit boards, including serving as chair of the $2.1 billion Jewish Community Endowment Fund of San Francisco and on the board and executive committee of the San Francisco Jewish Federation. He also serves as Director of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education. He received tenure at Brandeis in 2012. A native of Boston, he came back to town in 2002 after completing his graduate studies at Stanford University. He has also studied at the Hebrew University, the Shalom Hartman Institute, Harvard University, and Yeshivat Sha’alvim. He lives in Newton with his wife Emily Beck and their three children, and is an active member of Congregation Shaarei Tefillah and Minyan Yedid Nefesh. Jay attended the University of Texas at Austin. Serving the local and Jewish communities is a family affair for the Liberman Family. Julie currently serves as President-elect at Jewish Family Service and is a former board member of the North Texas chapter of the National Autism Association and the Autism Society of Collin County. Jay and Julie previously co-chaired the Young Adult Event for the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas and participated in their Leadership Development Group. DARYL MESSINGER WHP Palo Alto 00 [email protected] Daryl is the immediate past chair of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) Board of Trustees. Daryl was the first woman to hold the top lay leadership position in the URJ, which represents the largest and most diverse Jewish Movement in North America. She has served on the URJ Board for 19 years and in Reform Movement affiliated organizations in a wide variety of roles. She was chair of the Reform Pension Board which serves Reform Movement professionals and has a total portfolio of more than $1.4 billion. Daryl also served as chair for URJ Camp Newman Advisory Board (in Santa Rosa, CA) where she was instrumental in raising over $23 million for Camp Newman’s renovation. In addition to her Reform Movement involvement, she is a past president of the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center in Palo Alto and a past vice president and treasurer of Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the San Francisco Bay Area. LISA MESSINGER WHP New York 4 [email protected] Lisa has been a long-time leader and volunteer in several community organizations and Jewish organizations in New York and throughout North America. Until the 2018 death of her husband, Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion President Rabbi Aaron Panken, Lisa was his nearly full-time partner, traveling North American and Israel on behalf of HUC-JIR. After his death, she co- conceived, spearheaded and completed a $12 million campaign to endow four new professorships in her husband’s name, one on each of HUC’s campuses: New York, Cincinnati, Los Angeles and Jerusalem. Lisa completed four years (2009-2013) as President of Westchester Reform Temple (WRT), a vibrant 1,200-household Reform congregation in the United States. A native of Scarsdale, New York, Lisa returned to her hometown in 1996 and served in various volunteer capacities, including the Scarsdale Public Library Capital Campaign Committee as well as the Board of the Scarsdale Adult School. REUBEN POSNER WGF Class 23 – DAVIDSON SCHOLAR [email protected] Reuben is the Senior Director of K-12 Education and Engagement at Temple Isaiah in LA. Before beginning at Isaiah, he worked on builiding a new Jewish Overnight camp on the west coast, Havaya Arts, through the Foundation for Jewish Camp’s Speciality Camps Incubator program. Prior to that, Reuben was the Director of Youth Engagement at Combined Jewish Philanthropies and the Jewish Education Fellow and Associate at Hillel. Reuben spent a year living in Mumbai, India, serving as Jewish Service Corps Volunteers with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, was the Development Associate and Project Manager at The Jewish Education Project in New York and taught first grade at the Atrium School in Watertown, MA. Reuben was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, and went to Jewish Day School from kindergarten through 12th grade. He had a transformative Jewish experience as a teenager in Israel participating in a trip run by the Nesiya Institute. SCOTT REITER WHP Washington DC 13 [email protected] Scott began his legal career in the late 1990s and has spent his entire career focused on regulatory antitrust issues. He has worked for the government for most of his legal career, including two stints at the Federal Trade Commission and his current role as a Trial Attorney in the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. He ventured into private practice for five years, working at O’Melveny & Myers and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. In the early 2000s, Scott helped to revitalize a dying synagogue, Ohev Sholom - The National Synagogue, in Washington, DC. He played a role in hiring a young, dynamic rabbi and the synagogue has grown from 60 families (with about 15 active members) to close to 350 families. Scott continues to serve his synagogue community in a variety of leadership roles and has also expanded his involvement to the community Modern Orthodox day school (Berman Hebrew Academy) and the Sunflower Bakery, a bakery focused on providing training and career skills to individuals with developmental differences.

TALIA RESIN WHP Los Angeles 15 [email protected] Talia began her career in Management Consulting for Accenture and Deloitte Consulting Group, developing and implementing technology solutions and training programs for Fortune 500 companies. Since becoming a mother of three boys, she emerged as a leader in the Jewish community focusing primarily on two areas of passion: Jewish education and pro-Israel advocacy. She served on the board of Sinai Akiba Academy and developed Israel-related educational programming for Sinai Temple and the broader Los Angeles community. She was also an advisor to The Growing Garden Academy in their launch of the first Jewish day school in the South Bay. She is currently on the board of Shalhevet High School, a modern orthodox high school in Los Angeles. As a passionate pro-Israel advocate, Talia is an active member of AIPAC’s National Council, Los Angeles Cabinet and the co- chair of the Los Angeles Women in Politics mentorship program. She is also a member of AIPAC’s New Leadership Network. Talia attended Jewish Day schools in Montreal, Canada. She earned a BA in Economics from Tufts University. She lives with her husband Jamie and their three sons in Beverlywood, Los Angeles.

VANESSA RESSLER WHP Miami 11 [email protected] Vanessa is a mother of three young daughters and a marketer by trade. Professionally, she has worked as a Partnership Marketing Manager for a publicly held British tech company (Microelectronics IP), branded and marketed a line of hand tools in the Silicon Valley and taught music to groups of parents and little ones. Vanessa currently volunteers close to full-time, primarily as VP of Temple Beth Sholom Miami Beach (1100+ Family Units, Reform), where she has most recently chaired the Search Committees for the Executive Director and Senior Rabbi. She enjoys and excels at projects that require developing a strategic process and working in teams. In addition to this work, she is currently co-chairing a new Leadership Development Group. She also founded and directs the Sholom Rockers Children’s Choir. Vanessa sits on the board of Jewish Community Services and gives her time to myriad other non-profits in Miami. As a Jew-by-Choice, much of her past volunteer work focused on programs that were educational in nature and revolved around inclusion. ROB ROMANOFF WHP Chicago II-99 [email protected] In his professional life, Rob works as the Chairman and Managing Partner of Levenfeld Pearlstein, an 80-attorney general practice law firm in Chicago. His leadership role requires about half of his time and he also maintains an active practice as an estate planning attorney. In terms of community engagement, Rob served as an officer and president of Moriah Congregation, a traditional Conservative congregation in Deerfield, Illinois. After his gig as president, he led the synagogue’s Rabbinic Search Committee. His experience leading that committee was successful, but it led him to take a step back from active communal engagement for a few years (perhaps he was suffering from PTSD?) He’s re-engaged in communal leadership and has recently joined the boards of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center and the Rochelle Zell Jewish High School, a Conservative high school in Deerfield, Illinois. He’s lucky to be married to Randee (nee Bluestein) for 25 years. They’re the proud parents of Shira, Dena and Elie.

AVRA ROSEN WHP Toronto 2 [email protected] By day Avra is a family law lawyer, mediator and arbitrator and had her own law firm until recently, when she became partners with a classmate and formed a firm of seven female lawyers. Avra a memer of the Board of Holy Blossom Temple, the largest Reform Congregation in Canada and served as the cochair of the Lawyers Division at UJA and then Vice-Chair of Major Gifts. After Avra’s mother passed away and she was attending Holy Blossom Temple everyday for 11 months, she became re- engaged as a regular service attendee. After becoming a Gabbai, she was back on the Board, became Chair of the Department of Administration and since November 2019, has been the President of Holy Blossom Temple, which has approximately 1,850 family units or 5,000 members and just completed a $35 million renovation and addition to its facility, which is the largest synagogue renovation in Canada. In Avra’s spare time, she is a wife to Mark Goodman, a mother to two daughters, owner of two dogs and she likes to cook, workout and travel, including to Israel every year.

DANNY ROSEN WHP Pittsburgh 07 [email protected] Danny is a Professor of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work and is the Director of the Integrated Healthcare Certificate program at the School of Social Work. He is also the Founder of Wellbridge Health. Danny received his PhD in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Michigan and completed a National Institute on Drug Abuse Post-doctoral Fellowship at the Substance Abuse Interdisciplinary Training Program at the University of Michigan. He is also the recipient of a K 08 award from the National Institute of Health focusing on the intersection of aging and substance abuse. His current research focuses on the health and mental health service needs of vulnerable populations, the utilization of technology to reduce avoidable hospitalizations for chronically ill individuals and enhancing the effectiveness of interprofessional teams in healthcare settings. Danny recently completed his term as Board Chair of the Friendship Circle of Pittsburgh and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation and the Allegheny Regional Asset District. DAN RUBIN WHP San Francisco 06 [email protected] Growing up in Manhattan Beach, one of the most non-Jewish areas in Southern California, Dan loved Religious and Hebrew School at his Reform Temple in Redondo Beach. Dan graduated from Pomona College with a degree in Physics and participated in the Maccabiah games in Israel in 1985. Much to his and everyone else’s surprise, he came back from Israel and married someone who was not Jewish. He and his wife, Katharine, fully immersed themselves in the Jewish community wherever they lived (both Silicon Valley and Hong Kong) and worked hard to raise three Jewish children. Dan has always been on at least one Jewish non-profit board including the Jewish High Tech Community in Silicon Valley, the Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School and Congregation Beth-Am. He is also on the steering committee for ICON (Israeli Collaboration Network) helping Israeli Start-ups navigate Silicon Valley. Dan is now on the board of the Shalom Hartman Institute. Since moving to Silicon Valley in 1982, Dan has spent time at various start-up companies in the Semiconductor Industry. He joined Alloy Ventures as a Partner and now invests in SaaS, Cleantech, Fintech, IT infrastructure and semiconductor start- ups. In 2017 he was diagnosed with cancer. He has now recovered and is taking full advantage of being healthy. He travels extensively with his wife and family, goes to Israel once or twice a year, runs marathons (Boston in April!), and is learning Hebrew. Dan continues to serve in various capacities with Jewish organizations and spends the rest of his time helping his friends (and the friends of his children) as they start new companies or venture funds.

GIDON RUBINSTEIN WIF Class 30 [email protected] Gidi currently serves as a Project Manager in the Ministry of Defence (MOD). Previously he served for six years in the Israel Defense Forces in various staff, training and field command positions. His last position in the IDF was a Company Commander (Captain) leading 120 soldiers in defense missions incorporating field work and cutting-edge technology. Throughout his career Gidi received some of the Israeli Government’s highest accolades: The Director’s Prize for a Unique Groundbreaking Achievement and three Prime Minister’s Prizes for Outstanding Achievement. Gidi holds a BA magna cum laude in Middle Eastern Studies from Bar Ilan University and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.

SUSAN SAAL WHP San Francisco 14 [email protected] Susan currently serves as the Chair of the Capital Campaign for the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center of Palo Alto, where she has also served as board chair and has been a board member for the last nine years. Susan currently serves as a board member for Urban Adamah and has been a proud volunteer with the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards for many years. She is currently a member of the Bay Area Jewish Community Federation Endowment Committee and has been serving as a Wexner Alumni Delegate since 2019. Susan was co-founder of SilverRide, established in 2006 to enable seniors to have a more connected, dignified and independent lifestyle after their “driving retirement.” Before launching SilverRide, Susan worked for several years in Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice and spent several years in marketing, brand management and promotions for Office Depot’s 900+ retail stores across the United States and Canada. Currently, Devin is the Executive Chairman of T-Worx, The Intelligent Rail. Devin has over 30 years of start-ups, direct marketing and entrepreneurial ventures. He has invested in over 40 start-up and early stage companies. As a sophomore at The University of Pennsylvania, Devin launched On Campus Marketing (OCM.) He sold OCM after building it to the point where it was working with 1,100 colleges to a public company. Educational Direct, another company that Devin founded, become the leading consolidator of student loans on the Internet before being sold in 2006 to the Private Equity firm Providence Equity Partners for $375,000,000. Schain is active in YPO and also founded Campus MD/Access Health Group and Campus Direct. In addition to being a serial entrepreneur, Devin is a dedicated philanthropist: he founded ShalomLearning and The Social Sector of Scaling Up. He is married with three children and lives in Washington, DC.

CATHERINE SCHNEIDER WHP Los Angeles 05 [email protected] Catherine is a seasoned fundraising and nonprofit professional with over 20 years experience transforming organizations through development, stewardship and community relations. Catherine was previously the Executive Vice President, Donor Experience at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. During her tenure at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, Schneider also held the positions of Associate Chief Development Officer and Senior Vice President, External Affairs and Community Engagement. Prior to her time at the Federation, she held leadership and development roles at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Progressive Jewish Alliance and Beit T’Shuvah. Catherine holds an MBA in Nonprofit Management from the Graduate School of Nonprofit Management at American Jewish University and a BA from University of California, Berkeley.

JONATHAN SCHREIBER WGF Class 5 [email protected] Jonathan, Cedars-Sinai’s Chief Community Engagement Officer, leads the health system’s directed community benefit efforts to improve access to care and prevention of chronic disease in targeted underserved areas in the local community. Jonathan also founded and directs the Cedars-Sinai Community Benefit Giving Office, which grants upwards of $15 million annually. Bringing both the grantmaking and community outreach portfolios together, Jonathan is also responsible for spearheading the Cedars-Sinai Community Clinic Initiative, leveraging multiple hospital-based resources ranging from strategic grantmaking to clinical deployment to help build capacities to strengthen the effectiveness and leadership of local community health centers. Jonathan is responsible for the medical center’s 2,700-person strong volunteer services program and directs Cedars-Sinai’s spiritual care team that provides care approximately 25,000 times each year to patients, family members, loved ones and staff. DENA SCHULMAN-GREEN WHP New England 14 [email protected] Dena is an Associate Professor in the Division of Acute Care and Health Systems at the Yale School of Nursing. She is a gerontologist whose program of research focuses on timely integration of palliative care into patient and family management of serious illness. Dena has long been involved in Jewish communal life and leadership. She currently sits on the Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven as Campaign Chair and recently rotated off the Wexner Alumni Council. Dena and her husband, Eric Green, a tax attorney, live in Woodbridge, CT with their four children, Eve (17), Benjamin (14), Mia (14) and Lily (12).

RACHEL SCHWARTZ WHP Philadelphia 16 [email protected] Rachel serves on the board of Jewish Relief Agency and is an Executive Board Member of Perelman Jewish Day School as well as the Chair of its Development Committee for five years. Rachel initiated and managed Newman & Company, Inc’s annual United Way Campaign. She completed Federation’s Women’s Leadership Development Program, Vice-Chaired Jewish Family and Children’s Service’s (JFCS) 2014 annual event and was Vice-Chair of the Friends of Yemin Orde International Gala Honoring Chaim Peri in 2018. Rachel formerly served on the Friends’ Central Alumni Board as well as at Smith Memorial Playground. Her “day job,” Rachel Schwartz Design, LLC, is a lifestlye and interior design business. Prior to launching her business Rachel was Director of Marketing for Newman & Company, Inc., a 100-year-old paperboard business started by her great-grandfather. From 1993-2003, Rachel was Vice President, Product Development, for Atlantic Records in New York City, working with musicians such as Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, Matchbox 20, Kid Rock and Tori Amos, creating artist imaging, and branding. While attending NYU, Rachel interned at Rolling Stone Magazine, ABC Daytime Television and 20th Century Fox Films. Rachel received a BA in Dramatic Literature and Women’s Studies from New York University. She and her husband Eric live in Haverford with their three children Oscar, Avner and Eleanor.

MUHAMMED SHAMEYEH WSL 2018 [email protected] Muhammed began his career at the Knesset in 1995, first as advisor to the Knesset Speaker, serving in several positions until starting a role at the office of the Director General. In his current position, he is responsible for processes and reforms in the organization. He considers his role as a social change- maker, in particular within the Arab sector, while highlighting the ideals of transparency, engaging people with disabilities and engaging other Arab-Israelis within the public sector. Muhammed was born in the Jatt, a village in the triangle area. He was part of a family of five, including his parents and two sisters. His father died when he was 2.5 years old and Muhammed’s mother raised him and his sisters. His mother has always been the compass in his life, ever since he was a child and until today, 20 years after she died. Muhammed grew up upon the values of respecting the other, loving and caring for people regardless of where they come from. After he graduated from University, he worked as a Hebrew teacher in East Jerusalem. Muhammed was active in an organization that promoted coexistence and dialogue. MICHAEL SHINER WHP Boston 1 [email protected] Michael is a leadership scholar, consultant and educator. He trained at Harvard with psychologists Howard Gardner, David Perkins, and Robert Kegan, where he also worked as an instructor and leadership researcher. Michael is currently working on a book with psychiatrist and MacArthur fellow Jonathan Shay about leadership, moral injury and intellectual humility. Michael also works with the Brown psychology department on the topic of ignorance and the community of knowledge. In general, Michael’s research explores the ways in which leaders undermine themselves and what we can do about it. Michael’s Jewish Communal interests have including camping, synagogues, day schools and adult education. He lives in Newton, MA, and we has four daughters. Michael is also a former entrepreneur and family-office investor in small to medium sized private companies in a variety of sectors, including tech, food, merchandising, and real estate. He is a conservatory- trained musician.

RAVID SHMOUELI WSL 2017 [email protected] Ravid is the VP of IT, CIO and CDO of the Israel Land Authority. He is leading the Israel Land Authority’s digital strategy definition and implementation (“Rami-Tech.”) Prior to his current position, he led the digital transformation of the Israeli Judiciary (“Net-Hamishpat,”) a game-changing core information system for the judges, clerks and attorneys nationwide. Before that he held several managerial and commanding positions in the private sector and in the Israeli Navy. He holds an MBA (Finance and Information Systems) and a BA (with honors) in Economics and Management from Tel- Aviv University. Ravid lives in Herzeliya.

LESLIE SIDELL WHP Denver 08 [email protected] Leslie has served in national not-for profit leadership roles for Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), National Women’s Philanthropy, co-chairing the International Lion of Judah Conference. She is also an alumni of JFNA’s National Young Leadership Cabinet. Leslie completed her term in 2019 as Board member and treasurer on the national board of Sharsheret, a Jewish breast and ovarian cancer support organization. Leslie has served as a board member since 2012 and chair of Denver Jewish Day School and she currently sits on the Jewish Life committee of the Rose Foundation. She has served as chair of Colorado Agency for Jewish Education and on the boards of The Jewish Community Foundation and JEWISHColorado. Leslie attended Boston University and received her MBA from the University of Denver. Mytyl was born in Mexico City and has lived in New York City, Montevideo, Uruguay, and for the last 22 years, Miami Beach, FL. Other than her family, Mytyl’s passions are Israel, her People and helping others. She is in Real Estate and was a Zin Fellow (BGU), which helped her develop a deep love for the Negev. SHERRIE SINGER WHP Detroit 17 [email protected] Sherrie is a full-time community leader and volunteer. She is the president and co-founder of THREAD…Connecting Jewish Women, a non-profit organization with its mission to educate, engage and inspire Jewish women in the metro Detroit community. Sherrie currently serves as the associate campaign chair of Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy. Sherrie is also on the board of Overseers for Hebrew Union College and Hillel of Metro Detroit. She recently accepted a position on Hebrew Union College’s Board of Overseers and is a past recipient of the Sylvia Simon Greenberg Young Leadership Award for personal commitment and service to the Detroit Jewish community. Sherrie is a graduate of the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning and continues to enjoy weekly Melton graduate classes. She is currently the chairperson of the Melton Advisory Council. Sherrie’s passion for education and engagement includes interfaith programming. She is working on a new initiative for Jewish and Muslim women to learn together. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis, biking, painting and spending time with her family and friends. Blending expertise in formal and experiential education, Michal designs powerful Jewish learning experiences for personal and spiritual growth. Michal is Editor of Kaddish: Women’s Voices (Urim, 2013), winner of the 2013 National Jewish Book Award. She previously served as Associate Principal of Bi-Cultural Day School, where she earned the Grinspoon Award for Excellence in Jewish Education and the 2015 Jewish Education Innovation Award. Earlier, Michal worked to pioneer Jewish outdoor and environmental education in the U.S. She is a former Executive Director of Isabella Freedman Retreat Center and a founder of the TEVA Learning Center. Her other publications include Spirit in Nature: Exploring Judaism and Ecology on the Trail (Behrman House, 2000). A Fulbright scholar in Jewish Thought, Michal received her AB from Princeton University in Religion and an MS from Cornell University. Prior to his current position, Shay was the Chief Scientist of the Israel National Road Safety authority. Shay holds a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Physical Chemistry from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and PhD from The Weitzman Institute of Science in Physics and Industry. Shay lives in Mevo Betar with his wife and their three children.

SUSIE SORKIN WHP Palo Alto 03 [email protected] Susie has lived in the Bay Area since 1983 and in following in her parents’ footsteps, she focuses on helping to create thriving Jewish communities. Her primary commitment has been with the Jewish Community Federation. She currently serves as chair of the Governance committee and sits on several other committees, including the Executive committee of the Board. She is also on the Board at Hillel@ Stanford, serving as chair of the Development committee and on the Executive committee. In the past, she was an active member of National Young Leadership Cabinet and served on the board of the Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School, where her 22-year-old twins attended K-8. She was the 2006 recipient of the Lloyd W. Dinkelspiel Award for Young Leadership. A native of Chicago, Susie moved to California to attend Stanford University. Upon graduating with a BA in History, Susie joined the media planning group in the San Francisco office of Foote, Cone & Belding; she’s proud of her eight successful years in the industry. She works on programs and services that strengthen Jewish day schools in the areas of professional leadership and community engagement. Yael manages YOU Lead, Prizmah’s leadership development program and the Day School Engagement and Enrollment initiative (DSEE) in partnership with PJ Library. As a part of the inaugural cohort of the Jewish Emergent Network, she served as a Rabbinic Fellow at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in Washington, D.C. from 2016-18. Most recently, Suzy worked as a Senior Organizer at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism.

She has extensive experience in public speaking and fundraising on a volunteer basis.

RADA SUMAREVA WHP New York RSJ 16 [email protected] Rada is a Chief Operating Officer at Zipnostic, a digital health/remote physical exam startup, also serving on multiple boards, including UJA, JCRC, Tel Aviv University Board of Governors, AFTAU Execitive Board, AKIM USA Executive Board and AO Foundation. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology. After graduating with honors from New York University College of Dentistry, Rada received her certificate in Periodontics three years later. She’s a member of the OKU National Dental Honor Society and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the oldest major honorary organization for dentists. JULIE TEPPERMAN WHP Detroit 17 [email protected] Julie grew up in Potomac, Maryland. As a teenager she was deeply involved with BBYO and was fortunate to participate both locally and in several international leadership programs. Julie attended the University of Maryland at College Park and quickly turned her focus and leadership to the Greek System. Upon graduation, she participated in Project Otzma, which deeply connected her to the state of Israel and the global Jewish community. That experience led Julie to a position as a JCSC Fellow at the Hillel of UMass Amherst. The JCSC Fellowship led her to the University of Michigan and Project STaR, where she received her MSW and certificate in Jewish Communal Leadership. A FEREP Scholar, Julie first interned and then accepted a professional position with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and has never looked back. Her professional assignments have ranged from Israel and Overseas to Campaign to Leadership Development, and she now serves as the Senior Director of Community Development – Engagement. In 2004 she met Noah, whom she married in 2008. With the marriage came a move to Canada and Julie began life as an international commuter. Her daughter Lily was born in 2010, and her son Benji in 2013.

KAREN TREIGER WHP Seattle [email protected] After 18 years of practicing law in Seattle, Karen felt an unmistakable call to explore the story of her in-laws, Sam and Esther Goldberg. Educated at Barnard College and New York University Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of NYU Law Review, Karen made the momentous decision to retire from her law practice and pull together the threads of a family story she had heard for many years. The result of her three-year inquiry is the widely praised book, My Soul is Filled with Joy: A Holocaust Story. Her current volunteer involvement in Seattle includes Vice President of Minyan Ohr Chadash, an all-volunteer, six-year-old modern orthodox synagogue. She is also a board member of Limmud Seattle, which brings together the entire Seattle Jewish community. Previous volunteer gigs include leadership positions on many boards - Jewish schools, Federation, AIPAC, Jewish Historical Society and more. She is married to Shlomo Goldberg and has four wonderful children, three in-law children and one grandchild.

RON TZUR WSL 2017 [email protected] Ron is the Owner and CEO of Sparks Consulting Group LTD. Prior to his current position, he was CEO of Pareto Group LTD. Until 2017, he was the Chief of Staff, head of the HRM Reform Initiative in the Israeli civil service. He also was Senior Deputy Director General, Head of Human Resources and administration at Israel Atomic Energy Commission. Ron holds BA in Economics and Logistics from Bar Ilan University and Masters in Business Administration from Ben Gurion University. He lives in Rishon Le Zion with his family.

SAMUEL “SKIP” VICHNESS WHP Metrowest [email protected] As the managing partner of Quality Camping Properties, Inc., Skip operates day and resident camps throughout the Northeast. As a Jewish communal volunteer he has focused on summer camps and day school education. Skip has chaired the National Ramah Commission and is a past chair of the Foundation for Jewish Camp, as well as being a past chair of the Golda Och Academy, a Sololmon Schechter K-12 day school. He has also served in a number of leadership positions in the camping profession and is the founding chair of the Ben Appelbaum Foundation, an entrepreneurial incubator currently involved in more than 35 projects in the New York metropolitan area. Holder of a PhD in European History, he is a Fellow of the Institute for Napoleon and the French Revolution. In his spare time, Skip is an avid golfer. PEGGY GRIES WAGER WHP Cleveland 1 [email protected] Peggy grew up in Cleveland and Westchester, NY, and recently returned from Yale University where she was the Interim Excecutive Director of the Yale Hillel (Slifka Center) leading a turnaround and bringing in permanent leadership. Now back in Cleveland, Peggy is living her ideal life having started her own executive coaching and leadership consulting business, spending time with her four daughters, husband and grandchildren, and staying active in the non-profit community. Peggy serves on the boards of Yale University’s Joseph Slifka Center (Hillel) and the American Jewish Committee, Cleveland chapter.

ELLEN WAGHELSTEIN WHP Washington DC 03 [email protected] Ellen is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University and is the Founder of the Georgetown Leadership Academy, an international leadership learning program for public servants, non-profit executives and civic activists. She is also the Managing Consultant with the Kagen Leadership Group and a Founding Partner of Coach Approach Partners. In her role as a national leadership consultant, Ellen serves as senor leadership faculty for PRESIDE, a program of the Legacy Heritage Fund and ACHARAI, the Shoshana S. Cardin Leadership Development Institute in Baltimore. She is a past co-chair of the JFNA National Young Leadership Cabinet, Secretary of JESNA, Co- chair of JESNA’s Lipman-Kanfer Institute and national board chair of PANIM: The Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values. She is the immediate past Vice President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington (JFGW) with the portfolio of Women’s Philanthropy and she received the Kipnis-Wilson Friedlander Award for her role in expanding Women’s Philanthropy in DC. Ellen and her husband David created and host Viral Shabbat with Rick Recht in their home several times a year to engage young adults in the Shabbat Experience through music. He continues to have played many roles: a Tony-nominated lead producer and long-time investor in commercial theater productions, a long-time advisor to the Royal Shakespeare Company, managing director of a regional theater, arts council director, teen theater director and theater arts volunteer with various congregations, teacher and coach, writer and director, and yes, actor. As a volunteer, he has been a board member and officer of three temples, a Jewish federation and national and community foundation program and grant advisor, President of Ohio State’s Hillel, the first President of the Wexner Center for the Arts, founding President of the AIDS Foundation, organizing member of the National Business Leadership on AIDS chaired by Elizabeth Dole, hospice volunteer and food bank worker. Together for 48 years and married under the laws of the State of New York in 2012, David Hagans and Ric raised three terrific sons and delight in loving two amazing daughter-in-laws and three wonderful grandchildren. Previously, she was the Associate Head of School for External Relations at Gann Academy in Waltham, MA. Before coming to Gann, Jennifer was Strategy Manager for Growing Annual Fund Revenue at the Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education for six years. Jennifer worked in women’s division at both the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and Combined Jewish Philanthropies in Boston. She also spent more than a decade at WGBH, Boston’s public broadcasting station, as the senior Major Gifts officer, Director of Stewardship and Director of the Major Gifts Annual Fund. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she was very active in Hillel and lives in Brookline, MA, with her husband Amiel and three teenage sons who all attend/graduated Jewish day school and Jewish camp. They are active members of the Young Israel of Brookline.

TAL WERNER-KLING WIF Class 19 [email protected] Tal is the Director of Strategic Affairs in the Department of International Law in the Israeli Ministry of Justice. Her team handles matters relating to International Criminal Law and International Humanitarian Law. In this capacity, she is responsible, inter alia, for the implementation of norms of international law in the Israeli system as well as for coordination of inter-agency work in this respect. In the course of her work, she has represented Israel in various international forums. Prior to joining the Department in 2011, she worked for 15 years in the Department of International Affairs at the Office of the State Attorney, where she headed the extradition team, and appeared in numerous cases before Israeli courts, including the Supreme Court. She holds a Master of Laws degree and a Bachelor’s degree in law from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University.
