WARRIOR FALL SPORTS—

GIRLS TENNIS: The girls’ tennis team had a successful season this year finishing with a 6-3 record in a tough Westchester-based league. The team was led by senior co-captains, Dayna DiMarco (8-1) and Danielle Ogonowski (9-0), who played first and second singles. Dayna qualified for the conference tournament due to her outstanding play in the league. Freshman Grace O'Connor contributed greatly to the team in her first season going undefeated at 3rd singles. Due to efforts of all team members the team finished in second place in the league.

FIELD HOCKEY: OLL field hockey had a tough season although the girls continued to work hard and improve throughout the season. We look for- ward to a successful season next year.

GIRLS SWIMMING: The Girls’ Varsity Swim Team had a great season! Everyone had amazing swims at Divisionals and Francesca Moschetti took third in our league at the dive meet. The team finished 2nd overall within the division! We had several swimmers go to the Sectional meet for both individual events as well as relays. Grace Nikolski and Clare Bosse qualified for the State Championship Meet held 11/19- 11/21 at Ithaca College. This was a huge accomplishment for both girls! The record board is getting a make-over after this season! New records include: Clare Bosse 500 Free (5:32.53) and 100 Free (53.82). Grace Nikolski in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07.98. The Medley Relay of Clare Bosse, Grace Nikolski, Rachel Webb and Mary-Therese Nikolski set a new record of 1:54.99!

BOYS SOCCER: The 2015 boys’ soccer season started in August with over 50 young men trying out for a spot on the varsity team. The team was led by Junior Captains Garret Ossolinski, Jack Obrien and Dillon Rispoli. The team played a very difficult schedule. The team played quality soccer the entire season. Although the outcome of most games this sea- son did not result in a win for the team the season was a success. With the team made up of many underclassmen the future looks bright for the Lourdes Soccer team.

VOLLEYBALL: The Varsity Girls’ Volleyball team encountered a challenging season. This season tested the girl's character, dedication, and determi- nation. The group of young ladies rose to the challenge and gave an unwavering performance. They are looking to improve for next season.

GIRLS SOCCER: The OLL Girls Soccer team had a great season this fall! The young team, was led by captains Kayla Moschetti, Christina Jodry, Mar- guerite McGahay and Amy Zale. One of our most meaningful highlights of the season was our Breast Cancer Awareness Game. At this game, the girls brought attention to the illness by wearing pink uniforms, decorating the field and making signs. Also, through generous donations from family, friends and fans, and selling delicious treats, the team raised over $100, which was all donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Well-done, girls, and a big thanks to all of those who helped make the night a success! All of the girls, returners and newcomers, contributed to making this season a special and memorable one! Post-season honors were award- ed to: Kayla Moschetti for All-Section Honorable Mention and All-League and Amy Zale for All-League Honorable Mention. Coach Paggi and Coach Seifts had a fantastic time with the team this season, are very proud of their progress and accomplishments, and are thankful to have had such a wonderful group of girls to work with!

GIRLS’ XC: The girls’ team was a little light on numbers but certainly not on heart. The three-runner squad of Caroline Timm, Bella Clark and Julie Costigan learned to rely upon and support each other. The early season brought medals by all 3 girls at the Somers Invitational. By mid-season at the League Championships, Caroline and Bella placed first and third respectively earning All-League honors. Caroline went on to represent Lourdes and Section One at the New York State Championships where she placed 16th.

BOYS XC: The freshman team was led by Ethan Romero who medaled in all of the freshman races which average 1.5 miles. The sophomores were led by Luke DellaPietra and Luke Belardo who worked their way up from the JV squad to the Varsity team. Zach Ropes and Will Whelan were the consistent one-two punch for the Varsity with Ropes winning medals in every Varsity race. At the League Championships athletes finishing in the top 15 earned All-League honors. They included Ropes, (1st place, League Champ), Whelan (2nd), Jack Belardo (7th), Alex Scotto (8th) and Stephen Baker (14th). Bryan Casey helped the Varsity team at the Sectional Championships finishing in the 4th position. Page 7

News from the Office of Advancement

This school year has kicked off with a very BUSY September and October. Our official welcome to our Class of 2019 at our annual Freshmen Family Orientation is always a wonderful start to the school year. Our upperclassmen, faculty and parents were on hand to “meet and greet” our incoming freshmen and their families. Those serving food did an excellent job as always! Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers…..students AND parents for an awesome job feeding over 450 attendees!

September and October were busy with our Blue and Gold Rush Raffle, Warrior Spirit Day, Homecoming, Open House and Career Day. Thank you to all our parent volunteers who helped out on Warrior Spirit Day. Always a great day for our entire Lourdes family. The day was capped off by our Homecoming Football Game. We were honored to welcome our County Executive Marcus Molinaro who joined us during halftime at the game to announce the winners of the raffle. Once again our alumni returned to cheer on our Warriors. Most notable were members of the graduating classes of 1965 (celebrating 50 years!) and 1990 (celebrating 25 years!).

Thank you to all the students, coaches, administrators, faculty and parents who came out for our annual Open House to showcase all Lourdes has to offer. Our program was well received, and allowed us to present the talents and highlights of Lourdes to these future students and their families. Much hard work went into the presentations and tours, and we are grateful to everyone for their part in the day.
