Job Offer for Rheumatology in hospital, South

The public health care system in South Sweden is looking for a specialist doctor in Rheumatology. Double specialist in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology is a merit. The doctor will work with out and inpatient care. The candidate should have 1-5 years of experience, will mainly work with rheumatology patients and should have experience working with out- and inpatient care, in a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge about IP-programs such as Cosmic is a merit

On-calls:

There will be on call duties in the department after the first integration period and the duties will be paid apart.

Salary:

The salary is discussed with each candidate independently. A full-time working specialist doctor gets approximately 55-66 000 SEK/month.

Interview:

There will be a personal interview at the end of November or in the middle of December 2015.

Description about the department in Kalmar:

Rheumatology is a section within the internal medicine department. There are 113 beds divided into five departments. Common internal education will take place every week. There are on call services all day in the clinic.

They need one doctor for their well functioning rheumatology section, which is a part of the Internal Medicine Department. There are two specialist doctors in rheumatology and two residents. The catchment area is 140.00 inhabitants and they have close cooperation with other rheumatology clinics in the county as well as with other clinics within the hospital and with the primary care.

The clinic has a big, modern outpatient care where both doctors and nurses see patients, they have policlinic infusion therapy, rehabilitation and “rheumaschool”. They have a flexible number of beds from 1 to 4.

In the team there are: doctors, nurses, nurse assistants, physiotherapists, secretaries and pharmacologists. They also have a well-developed cooperation with orthopaedicians who have an interest in rheumatology. They do consultant work in the primary care. Training is very important, as there are resident doctors, internal trainings and they also attend external meetings and congresses.
