The British Museum The British Museum is a national presence and works with hundreds of UK partner organisations each year through its wide-ranging National Programmes activity. This includes single-object Spotlight tours, touring exhibitions, partnership galleries, short-term loans and long-term loans, with the lead support of the Dorset Foundation in memory of Harry M Weinrebe. In 2017/18, over 2,500 objects were loaned to nearly 170 venues in the UK, reaching 9 million people outside London. The Museum will continue to de- velop partnerships across the UK as part of its commitment to sharing the collection as widely as possible.

The Museum The Yorkshire Museum was opened in 1830 by the Yorkshire Philosophical Society and was one of the first purpose-built museums in the country. It sits in the heart of , in the centre of York and is run by York Museums Trust. Norfolk Museums Service Museum & Art Gallery is part of Norfolk Museums Service which comprises museums, col- lections study centres and countywide services relating to archaeology and education. The Service re- mains a unique partnership between Norfolk County Council and Norfolk's district councils, funded through council tax, earned income and grants. NMS is now regarded as one of the leaders in the muse- um sector and in 2017 was successful in its bid for continuing major investment from Arts Council Eng- land.
