Dear Ray , I am writing this as the League Representative of North Petherton Cricket Club . At a recent Committee Meeting of the Club it was decided that I should write to you so that you could pass on a message to those teams and umpires that will be visiting our home ground this coming season . Indeed you may well have heard of the problem that we had from teams and umpires that visited us last season . The problem we had last season is something we expect to happen again this season , and that is a problem of access to our ground . As you know we are close to Junction 24 of the M5 , and on that junction there are located the Bridgwater Services . These services get very well used over the summer and in particular over the school summer holidays . The problem is that they suffer from having a limited car parking facility . This then results in traffic backing out from the services onto the junction roundabout which means that traffic backs up right through North Petherton on the A38 and also into Bridgwater . Last summer that resulted in both players and umpires turning up late for the games , and some games started way after the usual time . Can I therefore please ask you to pass on to those teams and umpires that will be visiting Heathfield Park this summer , and particularly in the school summer holidays , the recommendation that they allow plenty of time for their journey . If this means that they get there too early , my apologies , but better that than a late start . Thanks as always for all your help . Best Regards
