Community ownership of the centre will allow the company to invest in upgrading and enhancing the facility to offer improved services. Action Porty Edinburgh £647,500 The group will purchase the former Portobello Old Parish Church and Halls situated on Bellfield Road, Edinburgh under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003). This will bring a previously well-used local amenity into community ownership and create the opportunity for it to be developed into a multi-purpose community hub. Active Communities (Scotland) Ltd Renfrewshire £199,000 This group will purchase the former police station situated in the town centre of Johnstone, Renfrewshire to develop a community led health and wellbeing hub and help them consolidate their services and activities into a central space. A Heart for Duns Scottish Borders £206,000 The group will purchase the Volunteer Hall in Duns town centre on behalf of the community. This will empower local people to be involved in its future development and management. All Roads Lead to Whithorn Dumfries and £110,635 This group will purchase the former Grapes Hotel in Whithorn, Galloway Dumfries and Galloway to convert it to affordable housing which will be let out. Am Fasgadh Regeneration Highland £85,500 This group will purchase the Old Telephone Exchange in Company Kingussie, a store of the former Highland Folk Museum, to provide space for a bike hub social enterprise, community events, meeting room, office and galley kitchen. Annan Harbour Action Group Dumfries and £98,890 This group will acquire a historic two-storey quayside warehouse Galloway closest to the harbour and quay along with an abandoned spit of land opposite the harbour called Ministers Merse. The project will develop the Harbour as a visitor hub. Applecross Community Company Highland £11,900 This group will purchase part of the garden of Applecross Surgery from NHS Highland and develop three two-bedroom properties for affordable housing aimed to support older people in the community. Applecross Community Company Highland £137,252 The award will allow Applecross Community Company to purchase, restock and improve Togarve Community Woods and provide access for the community. Applecross Community Company Highland £151,500 With this award Applecross Community Company will buy land in order to build nine homes for affordable rent and four for sale with rural housing burden, along with space for an electric charging point and allotments. Ardchattan Centre Argyll and £152,000 This group will purchase the former Ardchattan Primary School and Bute adjoining schoolhouse in order to create a community space. Ardnamurchan Lighthouse Trust Highland £224,900 The Trust will acquire and redevelop land and buildings surrounding the iconic lighthouse to allow it to develop the cafe, shop, exhibition space and holiday lets that it already operates on the site. Arisaig Community Trust Highland £234,400 This group will buy land on which to build six affordable homes and provide four discounted self-build plots, as well as providing an area for business units and a community woodland. Arisaig Community Trust Highland £23,750 This group will buy 2.38 acres of land split between the shorefront and the village playground, with plans to create seating areas, car parking and interpretation boards for visitors, as well as reinforcing the sea wall and providing space for an orchard and allotments. Arkaig Community Forest SCIO Highland £36,088 This group will purchase an area of woodland, including Clunes Forest School, in order to create opportunities for conservation, recreation and outdoor education. Assynt Development Trust Highland £65,750 This group will purchase 55 acres of land in Lochinver which will have multiple uses. Phase 1 aims to deliver affordable housing for rent, self-build plots, 2 commercial units/workshops, all abilities tracks and trails, and motorhome pitches. Bannockburn House Trust Stirling £648,300 The group will purchase the historic Bannockburn House and associated grounds extending to 25 acres situated just outside the small town of Bannockburn, Stirlingshire. This will secure the house to provide a focal point for the community and a base for new employment and volunteering opportunities, as well as community events and activities. Barmulloch Community Glasgow £88,000 The group will purchase the former Barmulloch Church of Scotland Development Co. in Barmulloch, Glasgow, which it currently leases. They plan in the longer term is to refurbish the building to create more space for community activities and to provide training and employment opportunities. Barrhill Development Trust South Ayrshire £135,000 Purchasing the village pub, The Trout Inn, will allow Barrhill Development Trust to retain an important amenity and to develop it for the benefit of the local economy and community. Barmulloch Community Glasgow £85,000 The group will purchase the former All Saints Church and church Development Company house, known locally as the Broomfield Road Centre. The centre currently houses a popular boxing gym, Money Advice Centre and training/meeting rooms, all of which will continue to flourish when the premises are brought into community ownership. Black Bull Gartmore Hub and Pub Stirling £217,500 This group will acquire the Black Bull Hotel premises and run it as a community owned and managed hub, café, pub, restaurant and accommodation facility, protecting this last remaining informal social space in the village from closure. Blackhall Community Trust Edinburgh £33,750 This group will purchase a former sports pavilion, currently used as a nursery, in order to provide community facilities alongside the nursery. Planned improvements include a community meeting space, sports changing facilities and activities for older people. Blackwood Estate Community South £67,000 This group will purchase Loch Wood in Blackwood Estate to Association Lanarkshire safeguard it for the future and to improve access for residents of the nearby villages of Blackwood, Kirkmuirhill and Boghead. Blairgowrie & Rattray Development Perth and £36,717 The money will allow Blairgowrie & Rattray Development Trust to Trust Kinross buy Mount Ericht, a former walled garden, and develop it into a community garden. Blairmore Village Hall Trust CIC Argyll & Bute £15,750 The group will purchase a small plot of land adjoining Blairmore Village Green and Hall to provide a recreational green space and sustainable tourism hub. Boarhills and Dunino Community Fife £146,340 The group will purchase the site of a derelict yard and doocot on Trust the edge of Boarhills village in Fife. They intend to develop it to create a green space for the community with an orchard, seating, play area, hedging, wildflowers and to restore the 17th Century doocot. Bonnymuir Green Community Trust Aberdeen £164,750 The group will purchase the former Bonnymuir Bowling Green, and City the accompanying pavilion building, using the Community Right to Buy . It plans to create a unique external green space within the city including a market garden and a community building with a café, meeting space and retail space for locally grown produce. Braemar Community Ltd Aberdeenshire £41,025 This group will purchase woodland and an area of community land in the village in order to provide local access to green space. Branchton Community Centre Inverclyde £120,148 The group will purchase the Branchton Community Centre Association including the building and associated land, car park, sports area, play area and Multi-Use Games Area. They plan to provide a refurbished play area, a community café, vocational classes, health, fitness and diet activities, youth initiatives, community development work and employability initiatives. Bruntsfield St. Oswalds Ltd Edinburgh £214,713 This group will purchase the St Oswald’s church and hall in Edinburgh and develop them into a community facility, primarily focused on wraparound childcare, but with the capacity to also serve as a hub and meeting place for the community. Caberfeidh Horizons Highland £185,339 The group will purchase a former police station in Kingussie in Badenoch and Strathspey to adapt the building for a charity shop, community space and multi- functional accommodation facility. Cairndow Community Childcare Argyll & Bute £37,000 The group will purchase 0.7 acres of a former coniferous plantation Ltd near Loch Fyne, Clachan, Argyll. They plan to develop the site for a new-build childcare facility and community resource centre. Cambusbarron Community Stirling £425,750 The group will purchase the woodland areas of The Gillies Hill to Development Trust develop it for people now, and future generations, to enjoy. Carbost Community Shop Highlands £177,500 The group will buy their local shop, which sits close to both the Talisker distillery and to the Fairy Pools, a renowned natural attraction. Carloway Community Association Eilean Siar £74,758 The group will purchase the former Carloway Primary School and associated land situated at Knock, Carloway. The grant will also be used to help develop the building as a Rural Life Centre including a community shop, ATM and post office, as well as a space for new enterprises to grow.
