This year's Christmas card is taken from an original in the Carl Giles collection at the British Cartoon Archive, University of Kent. Carl Giles (1916-1995) was cartoonist for the Daily Express and Sunday Express, but he was also a keen motorist. He first designed a menu for the BRDC in 1949, and three years later he and his wife were guests at the Club's Silver Jubilee Banquet and Ball. In November 1961 Giles was made an Honorary Member and in 1966 he began producing full colour cartoons for the Club Christmas card; a tradition that continued until 1980. The Archive has 11 Giles Club cartoons and these can be seen at http://www.cartoons.ac.uk/search/cartoon_item/brdc EAST ANGLIA REGIONAL LUNCH – WEDNESDAY 24 OCTOBER 2012 After many years, we are reviving the East Anglia Regional Lunch. A new date will be advertised when arranged. BRM DAY, BOURNE – SUNDAY 7 OCTOBER The town of Bourne is celebrating the 50th anniversary of BRM’s Formula One World Championships in 1962. Damon Hill OBE will mark the occasion by driving his father’s 1962 car through the town accompanied by many other BRM models. 6.3.5. Register notes - SF April 2015 E-mail: [email protected] Facebook: www.facebook.com/groups/MG635Register Twitter: https://twitter.com/635register Welcome to the 635 Register newsletter this month! For the newest of the MG marque, we have been steadily building a following of new owners some of which are existing MG owners and others new to the marque who are extremely impressed by the great value for money these cars are offering. Sales of the MG3 continue to steadily increase with more being seen on the road. So far in 2015, there have been 198 cars registered, which is an increase of 13 over last year. The MG6 facelift is being eagerly awaited and we hope to see a big advertising campaign to promote one of the best kept secrets in the automotive industry to the wider general public. There has certainly been a lot more TV advertising since Christmas, which is great. There has been a flurry of activity with the new 15 plate registrations at the beginning of March. Its great to see so many new owners photographed picking up their cars on the Facebook pages from the sales centre in Longbridge and dealers all around the country. There also seems to be a very noticeable increase in younger owners, which is great for the future of MG. Telford MG has opened a £1-million new showroom in the heart of the town’s ‘motor alley’ and sold a new MG33STYLE to a delighted 21-year-old Alix Lye on the opening day.

The “BMW Motorsport News” allows us to regularly summarise all the action for you in a compact and informative manner. This way, you are always up to speed. DTM: Aerial warm-up for Spielberg. Marco Wittmann (GER) wasted no time after his third place in Sunday’s DTM race at the Nürburgring (GER), immediately starting his preparation schedule for the next pair of races at the Red Bull Ring at Spielberg (AUT). Taking off from Red Bull Hangar 7 in Salzburg (AUT) - the impressive home of the Flying Bulls - the two-time DTM champion accompanied Lucas Auer (AUT, Mercedes) and Mattias Ekström (SWE, Audi) on board a 1958 Douglas DC-6B aircraft. The only DC-6B in the whole of Austria has been painstakingly restored and forms the centrepiece of the fleet for BMW Motorsport Premium Partner Red Bull. Although poor weather conditions meant that it was not possible to fly over the circuit, it did not dampen Wittmann’s enthusiasm for the race in Styria.

    — ABB FIA Formula E World Championship Season 7 Press Kit — At ABB, we have always taken a sustainable approach to business. Sustainability is a key part of our company Purpose and of the value that we create. This starts with helping our customers reduce their emissions and preserve resources, which is where we make the biggest impact, and extends to our own operations, to our partners and suppliers, and the communities we serve. Our partnership with Formula E brings together two great teams that are pushing the boundaries of technology to support the shift to e-mobility. The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is a showcase for the world’s most advanced e-mobility technologies. This partnership, now in its fourth season, allows us to use this competitive race environment as a testbed to further develop our technology, while demonstrating the benefits of e-mobility to a global audience. Ultimately, it is helping us to drive progress towards a more sustainable future. Björn Rosengren CEO ABB — Working with COVID-19 restrictions in Season 7 Plans for the Season 7 race calendar continue to evolve amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, while the health and safety of the entire Formula E community, as well as the residents of E-Prix host cities, are of the utmost priority. In addition to a dedicated microsite filled with news and content from the event and a link to view the on-track action, ABB will provide a multi-media experience focusing on the series itself and the connected topics of sustainability, mobility and energy efficiency, featuring presentations and contributions in collaboration with ABB’s partners.

THE OFFICIAL MAGAZINE OF DUNLOP MOTORSPORT IN TOUCH [ www.injection.tv ] ISSUE NINE, OCTOBER 2008 Dunlop wins Le Mans Series GT2 title with Ferrari. Again. Rob Bell secured his second Le Mans Series title by winning the final race on home ground, at Silverstone. With four wins from five races, the British driver won the title by five points from Marc Lieb, who drove the Michelin-shod Felbermayr Proton Porsche with Australian Alex Davison. “We have worked very hard with Dunlop over the last two years, and at this point I would be very confident going into any race on Dunlop,” says Bell. “That tyre feels like my little baby, not that I am Casper Elgaard leads Olivier Pla at Silverstone - Pla finished third in LMP2 for Dunlop saying it is all down to me, not at all! I have driven with Dunlop for two years and it is a partnership. They Dunlop, Bell and Virgo Motorsport win are good to work with because they are methodical.
