OLIVIA ATTWOOD

● WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO TAKE PART IN CELEBRITY KARAOKE CLUB? DID YOU WATCH THE FIRST SERIES OF THE SHOW? ○ I am someone that loves karaoke. All of my friends and family know, if there’s a microphone going on a night out I’ve got my hands on it. I watched the last series and it just looked like such a blast. I was trying to do the first series but it conflicted with something and I was gutted so when this one came around, and my agent called me I was like ‘yes, I need to do this!’ And she was like ‘Are you sure you wanna sing in front of people, you can’t sing!’ ● ARE YOU ONE TO TAKE TO THE STAGE AND PICK UP THE MIC? DID YOU HAVE ANY NERVES AT ALL? ○ No. I’m a bit of an exhibitionist & attention seeker, I’ll admit it! The only thing that made me nervous was my agent texting me before I went in saying ‘are you ok? Are you nervous?’ I was like ‘Why? Should I be?’ Once I got into it I was fine. When I heard myself on the microphone for my first song, I was like ‘Oh god, is that what I actually sound like?!’ ● WHAT CAN VIEWERS EXPECT FROM THE SERIES? ARE THE STAKES HIGHER FOR SERIES 2? ○ Just watching the most random group of people, who would probably never be together in a room, on a night out, drunk! Basically. ● HAVE YOU EVER DONE KARAOKE BEFORE? DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MEMORIES? ○ I’ve done it a lot, I’m a karaoke veteran. I’ve done karaoke in Marbella where I was allowed to get up on the bar. I had the whole bar going nuts and it wasn’t even a karaoke bar. I was singing Sweet Caroline and everyone was loving it. It’s an absolute classic. Brad was fuming, he was like ‘That’s my karaoke song!’ ● WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BRING TO YOUR PERFORMANCES? ○ Really strange and unattractive dance moves and lots of passion. I left everything on that stage, I was exhausted when I finished! I could barely breathe. It was absolute carnage! I actually spent a week in bed after filming it. ● WHEN YOU SAW YOUR COMPETITORS/FELLOW JUDGES FOR THE FIRST TIME, WHO DID YOU THINK YOUR BIGGEST COMPETITION WAS? ○ I’d heard Sonny Jay was in a boyband when he was younger and it turned out he could actually sing quite well. And AJ [Odudu] I was buzzing to see her as she’s such a laugh but I just knew that she could be a rival for the performance because that girl can bring it! And Amelia Lily, she’s a singer! I was like ‘This is wrong, this is cheating’. ● WHEN JUDGING YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS, WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR FROM THEIR PERFORMANCES? ○ I liked all of them so much for different reasons. When I went up to vote I used to panic and just went for who might have voted for me. I was fuming when Max & Harvey put me down as the worst in episode one! I put them as my favourites, I couldn’t believe it! I thought they were when they arrived, which is probably why they tried to vote me off. ● WHO DID YOU GET ON WITH BEST IN THE COMPETITION? ○ Brian Dowling. I’m such a super fan from watching Big Brother back in the day. And Tanya, because she lives nearby now. Sonny [Jay] & AJ [Odudu] as well, as I knew them - it was nice to see familiar faces. ● DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MOMENTS FROM FILMING THE SHOW?

2 Celebrity Karaoke Club Series 2 Press Pack Interviews

○ There’s so many! I knocked over a lamp at one point and the bulb smashed. Oh and throwing champagne over everyone was a highlight for me, probably not for them though. ● CAN YOU SUM UP THE SERIES FOR US IN 3 WORDS? ○ Hilarious, debaucherous and humiliating AJ ODUDU

● WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO TAKE PART IN CELEBRITY KARAOKE CLUB? DID YOU WATCH THE FIRST SERIES OF THE SHOW? ○ I just love karaoke so much! I’ve been on dates to karaoke, I’ve bonded with friends at karaoke. Karaoke is designed for people who weren’t born with the lungs of Beyonce so this is my moment to sing without getting told to shut up. I’d seen some of the first series of the show and I wanted to do it but I was busy filming for Rock The Boat at the time. So I remember thinking if it comes round again, I am definitely going to do it. So I knew about the show, I wanted to do it year one and hey, the timing was perfect this year so I just jumped at it. I grabbed the mic and all of my sequins and just went for it. ● ARE YOU ONE TO TAKE TO THE STAGE AND PICK UP THE MIC? DID YOU HAVE ANY NERVES AT ALL? ○ No nerves whatsoever, I just threw myself into it, I mean I just think karaoke is such a feel-good thing to do. I just thought what better way to be filled with joy than to pick up a mic, sing all of my favorite songs, wear really flamboyant outfits and meet new people. I just was like ‘I get to go off and hang around a bunch of people and we are just going to sing and have drinks?’ Count me in. ● WHAT CAN VIEWERS EXPECT FROM THE SERIES? ARE THE STAKES HIGHER FOR SERIES 2? ○ I think viewers can expect a lot of glitz, glamour, fun, laughter and just pure unadulterated joy. ● HAVE YOU EVER DONE KARAOKE BEFORE? DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MEMORIES? ○ I mean I have done karaoke before but in a very tragic way because there are a couple of places I know in London that stay open way later than anywhere else and it’s always a karaoke bar. So I have often been on a really fun date where we’ve gone for a few drinks and it’s like ‘ah we don’t want the night to end! But where do we go next?’ and I will always be that person, I'm like ‘I know just the place’ and instead of somewhere really fancy or romantic, I just drag them to a karaoke bar. Why not? It’s got sticky floors, cheap booze. The writings on the wall and it’s just so much fun! So yeah, dates essentially. No guy should feel special if I’ve taken them to a karaoke bar because I take them all to a karaoke bar. ● WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BRING TO YOUR PERFORMANCES? ○ I am going to bring a lot of energy and feathers, sequins, laughter and some Northern flair. ● WHEN YOU SAW YOUR COMPETITORS/FELLOW JUDGES FOR THE FIRST TIME, WHO DID YOU THINK YOUR BIGGEST COMPETITION WAS? ○ I mean there was Amelia Lily who is a certified singer as far as I am concerned so I was like ‘Oh, there’s singers here’! So it’s not that I felt she was my biggest competition per se but I just thought if anyone can sing, it’s Amelia. I also thought Bryan Dowling, as he can win the crowd over just by being funny and super camp and essentially they were all like really big characters so yeah I didn’t think it would be a walk in the park for me at all. ● WHEN JUDGING YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS, WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR FROM THEIR PERFORMANCES? ○ I was looking for commitment, that is it. I wasn’t looking for perfect vocals or perfect dance routines or anything like that. I was just saying who is having the most fun? Who’s committing to the song, to the performance? Who’s going for it? That’s what I was judging. ● WHO DID YOU GET ON WITH BEST IN THE COMPETITION?

3 Celebrity Karaoke Club Series 2 Press Pack Interviews

○ I feel like we all got on really well. I loved Olivia Attwood. I really got on with her, I just thought she was really hilarious and Suzi Ruffell. I just really warmed to her. I’ve worked with Suzi a couple times so it was great to see her in an entirely new environment just going for it. Mark Francis- like what an unlikely character for me to get on with! You know, we are like two different ends of the spectrum. I’m a Northern lass from a working class background, and he’s posher than posh but we got on really really well. I loved him! Tanya [Bardsley], honestly all of them. I feel like we all had a laugh. ● DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MOMENTS FROM FILMING THE SHOW? ○ Oh my gosh! There were a few celebrity cameos from bands in the 90’s. That was truly iconic. My stand out moment was essentially being on stage with Steps. It was a dream! ● CAN YOU SUM UP THE SERIES FOR US IN 3 WORDS? ○ Karaoke on heat!

TANYA BARDSLEY

● WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO TAKE PART IN CELEBRITY KARAOKE CLUB? DID YOU WATCH THE FIRST SERIES OF THE SHOW? o Yes, I watched the first series and it just looked so much fun! A few of them sounded like a strangled cat and so do I, so I thought ‘well sod it, let’s give it a try!’ ● ARE YOU ONE TO TAKE TO THE STAGE AND PICK UP THE MIC? DID YOU HAVE ANY NERVES AT ALL? o I am naturally, believe it or not, really shy. But, there was a bar there and it’s built like a nightclub…there was no thought process, it was just ‘I AM IN!’ ● WHAT CAN VIEWERS EXPECT FROM THE SERIES? ARE THE STAKES HIGHER FOR SERIES 2? o It was so much fun. Lots of colour, campness and just amazingness! Probably a little more drunkenness! It was just brilliant! ● HAVE YOU EVER DONE KARAOKE BEFORE? DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MEMORIES? o The only time I have done karaoke, as I don’t like getting on stage, I got told about it in the morning and still don’t have any recollection of it…but there are some videos. I hope the videos just die in time. But I can remember this one! ● WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BRING TO YOUR PERFORMANCES? o I always thought I knew lots of words to the songs, but it turns out I actually don’t. I must have just hummed along. I read a bit backwards and am dyslexic, so I didn’t really know a lot of the words, which is quite important when you are singing karaoke! So, there is a lot of humming. Also, to be able to sing karaoke, I didn’t realise how much breath work was involved. I thought I was going to die at points! I just thought ‘I need oxygen!’ ● WHEN YOU SAW YOUR COMPETITORS/FELLOW JUDGES FOR THE FIRST TIME, WHO DID YOU THINK YOUR BIGGEST COMPETITION WAS? o Brian Dowling because I know him and he oozes charisma! I was pleasantly surprised when he sang…I mean he is still a lot better than me. AJ [Odudu] is just a superstar inside and out as well. ● WHEN JUDGING YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS, WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR FROM THEIR PERFORMANCES? o I kind of went on who I had the most banter with at the bar, to be honest! It wasn’t about their singing ability for me. ● WHO DID YOU GET ON WITH BEST IN THE COMPETITION? o Brian [Dowling], Olivia [Attwood] and AJ [Odudu]...all of them! Also, Mark Francis, I absolutely adore him. Also Amelia Lily! Oh, just bloody all of them. ● DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MOMENTS FROM FILMING THE SHOW? o When me and Brian tried to re-enact the Dirty Dancing lift, when he lifts you up. He dropped me on the floor, then he dropped me on the sofa…he is no Patrick Swayze, let me tell you! ● CAN YOU SUM UP THE SERIES FOR US IN 3 WORDS? o Fun, fabulous and hilarious.

AMELIA LILY

● WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO TAKE PART IN CELEBRITY KARAOKE CLUB? DID YOU WATCH THE FIRST SERIES OF THE SHOW? ○ When I got asked to do Celebrity Karaoke Club, I was literally so excited! Karaoke is one of my favorite things to do. I think because people know me as a singer- I did the X-Factor ten years ago this year. I felt like it was the first time that I was able to show the audience and everybody else that was part of the show, that yeah I might be a singer but I actually love to have a good time and I don’t take myself too seriously. I think it’s the one time you can get up on that stage, own it, pretend to be somebody that you’re not and have a great time with your mates. I was literally just so excited that I could take part in it. ● ARE YOU ONE TO TAKE TO THE STAGE AND PICK UP THE MIC? DID YOU HAVE ANY NERVES AT ALL? ○ I got to take part in this amazing show. I met some amazing people, people from all different backgrounds. Of course I was nervous! Oh my god! I’d got a point to prove to these people that I deserve to be here and also show that I wasn’t going to take it too seriously as a performer. I literally had the best time. By the second night I just felt like I was at this karaoke bar with my mates, it was just brilliant. ● WHAT CAN VIEWERS EXPECT FROM THE SERIES? ARE THE STAKES HIGHER FOR SERIES 2? ○ Lots of costumes, I was the first one in that prop cupboard. I love getting dressed up! I’ve always liked to be quirky. This kind of show is exactly what people want to watch on the TV, really light-hearted, really fun. Something that the whole audience can sit in their seats at home with a glass of wine and sing along to. We hope that the viewers have as much fun watching it as we did filming it. ● HAVE YOU EVER DONE KARAOKE BEFORE? DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MEMORIES? ○ So me and my friends go to a local pub called the Red Lion and they do karaoke every Friday night and the minute we would walk in as a group, the DJ would automatically put out our song on the playlist ready for us and have our mics at the ready and me and one of my best friends Andrew would always sing Shallow by and Bradley Cooper and get the whole place up. There was a funny story actually! I was singing What’s up - 4 Non Blondes which I actually sang on the show as well and I slipped on the floor during the song and it was just hilarious. Everyone was laughing, everyone was still singing and I think that’s what’s so good about karaoke, you can mess up. It doesn’t matter how good a singer you are or how much of an entertainer you are. If you mess up, or you fall or you forget the words. I think that’s what makes it karaoke. ● WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BRING TO YOUR PERFORMANCES? ○ I mean, I gave a lot! I gave a lot of energy and by the end of each night I was literally exhausted. I gave it my everything. I literally was living my best life. I mean I’m not going to lie, I didn’t look like this at the end of each episode. I literally looked like I’d been dragged through a hedge backwards. I had no shoes on. I had probably every prop in the cupboard on me. Just put it this way, I gave it everything; I gave it performance, I gave it the vocals, I gave it entertainment, I gave it costumes. I literally just wanted to make the most of the opportunity and I just gave it like 150%. ● WHEN YOU SAW YOUR COMPETITORS/FELLOW JUDGES FOR THE FIRST TIME, WHO DID YOU THINK YOUR BIGGEST COMPETITION WAS? ○ A really tough one! Probably Brian Dowling. I thought he had it in the bag. He’s an absolute icon and he’s a Big Brother legend. You know we spoke about us obviously doing Big Brother and it was so nice to be able to have that connection. I’d probably say AJ Odudu as well, I thought she was competition. I just felt

like they were big personalities. But I suppose I’m a big personality as well so they might have thought that about me and you never know what anyone else is thinking. ● WHEN JUDGING YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS, WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR FROM THEIR PERFORMANCES? ○ I think for me it doesn't matter if you're a good singer or not, it’s all about the performance and the confidence. Get those props out, command the stage and have a good time. ● WHO DID YOU GET ON WITH BEST IN THE COMPETITION? ○ I literally just loved being around everyone there and I felt like all of us brought something different to the show. I actually got on with everybody but I would say the closest people were Brian [Dowling], AJ [Odudu], Tanya Bardsley, Mark Francis, Jordan [Davies] only because we did Big Brother together so it was so nice when he came in and Olivia Attwood as well! ● DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MOMENTS FROM FILMING THE SHOW? ○ AJ was trying to teach me how to walk like a Pussycat doll because she literally is like a supermodel and I'm really short and never had my shoes on and she was basically teaching me how to walk properly. I was a bit like the baby of the show. Let’s just say that Jordan got me on stage one point and I got soaked and that’s all I’m going to say. I was committed, I literally went there to get involved and that’s exactly what I did. My hair stank of champagne for like a good week and a half after I finished. ● CAN YOU SUM UP THE SERIES FOR US IN 3 WORDS? ○ Fun, entertaining and energetic. Because honestly I was just sweating constantly. I felt like I had done a full blown Grammy performance after every performance. It was a lot. I hope it’s as funny as I am making out to be. But I literally had the best time!

SONNY JAY

● WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO TAKE PART IN CELEBRITY KARAOKE CLUB? DID YOU WATCH THE FIRST SERIES OF THE SHOW? ○ A very easy answer to that question is that I work with Roman everyday who was on the last series and he told me that when he did it, it was genuinely the best fun he’s ever had doing a show. Then when the opportunity came about to actually do the show, it was an easy yes! I thought surely I can do a little bit better than he did. I loved it. ● ARE YOU ONE TO TAKE TO THE STAGE AND PICK UP THE MIC? DID YOU HAVE ANY NERVES AT ALL? ○ A lot of people seem to think I’m that person that would go a night out and pick up a microphone and be like ‘oh I’m going to sing’. And actually now I know that I’ve done this show, a lot of people are going to go oh you're not that person, are you? We all thought you were but you're not. I do love a bit of karaoke but I’m one of those people that wants to do a duet with someone. If I could do an Eminem and Dido, I would just feel a bit more confident up on stage with someone else. When I was doing this show and I had to sing by myself, I was really nervous. ● WHAT CAN VIEWERS EXPECT FROM THE SERIES? ARE THE STAKES HIGHER FOR SERIES 2? ○ The stakes are definitely high, you know the first series if that’s anything to go by, it was really good and I’m so pleased it’s back for another series. It’s absolute carnage. I just remember, the best bit for me was just seeing each other for the first time and realising who is actually in it with you. One of my favourite parts was I know Olivia Attwood quite well, I’ve interviewed her plenty of times. We were both standing together at the beginning and Max and Harvey walked into the room singing and Olivia turned around to me and went ‘oh my god, it’s Jedward’. It was one of the funniest moments of the show because I just couldn’t believe firstly how excited she was that it was Jedward and secondly how wrong she was and I had to literally go and tell Max and Harvey. I was like ‘guys I’m so sorry but she thought you were Jedward. Ha ha ha!’ ● HAVE YOU EVER DONE KARAOKE BEFORE? DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MEMORIES? ○ Believe it or not, the last time I actually did karaoke was on a night out when Roman got back from the jungle and we all went to Mahiki and we stayed there until about three in the morning and they’ve got like a little karaoke room downstairs. We were all so drunk singing McFly. Roman was singing Spandau Ballet obviously because his Dad was in Spandau Ballet. ● WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BRING TO YOUR PERFORMANCES? ○ I’m learning as I go, I’ve never sung solo before on stage. When I was in a band back in the day, I had two other boys with me that I could sort of look around and feel more comfortable with. This will be the first time really that I’ve firstly done singing since and secondly just by myself doing it but I tried to do songs that I feel like everyone would love. I know at one point, I did pick a song that I thought I knew and I didn’t know as well as I thought I did. Two Become One - Spice Girls. You look at it and you go ‘I know that song’ but I don’t know what the verses are. I don’t know how the verses go so I messed it up really. So I had to get Brian to bloody sing the whole verse. Poor boy! ● WHEN YOU SAW YOUR COMPETITORS/FELLOW JUDGES FOR THE FIRST TIME, WHO DID YOU THINK YOUR BIGGEST COMPETITION WAS? 8 Celebrity Karaoke Club Series 2 Press Pack Interviews

○ The biggest competition I thought for me personally was Max and Harvey, I've seen how massive they are on Youtube. I’ve seen them when they did Celebrity X-Factor and I just know they are quite good singers. I thought these boys are really going to know how to put on a performance and then I saw Brian Dowling and I thought ah! He’s a sweetheart and I know a lot of people love him. I was a bit starstruck! ● WHEN JUDGING YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS, WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR FROM THEIR PERFORMANCES? ○ To be honest, I was looking for someone that looked like they’ve never done this sort of thing before and plucked up the courage to be able to do it. There’s a lot of different people that come on to this show and some of them are natural performers and some of them aren’t. So it was quite nice to see, someone even like Tanya [Bardsley] from Housewives on there and you know for a fact that she hasn’t done anything like it before but it was so nice to see her pluck up courage and get on with it. So I was looking for things like that. Then I was just looking for the performance because when it comes to karaoke, no one really cares about singing. It’s more just about entertaining people isn’t it? Just getting everyone to sing along! ● WHO DID YOU GET ON WITH BEST IN THE COMPETITION? ○ Weirdly enough, I did get on with Tanya [Bardsley], we just met and started talking and it was like ‘what do you do’? And she was like ‘I’m a housewife’. And I was like ‘does that mean that you’ve got a Range Rover and loads of dogs?’ And she was like ‘well I’ve got a Range Rover but one dog’. Then she was like ‘well what do you do’? And I was like ‘well you know, I’m a Presenter, I did and stuff’ and she was like ‘oh that’s amazing’. It was the first time we met each other but we just hit it off! It was really nice. And then Olivia [Attwood] as well. Even AJ [Odudu] she’s lovely and I’ve known her for a couple of years now, I’ve done a Brit night out with her and all sorts. To be honest, I think it was easier that I did know people, however I think going on a show like this, whether you do or don’t know people, you’ve just got to get stuck in! If you don’t get stuck in then that’s it. Go on to a show like that and just have fun. ● DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MOMENTS FROM FILMING THE SHOW? ○ Oh god! Okay so me being sort of a natural mickey taker, Max and Harvey can do backflips. There was a moment they were performing on stage and they were harmonising with each other and then there was one moment, whether it was Max or Harvey I don’t know but he sort of moved everyone out of the way in the audience and was like ‘move, move, move’ and we were like ‘what’s going on?’ and then one of them backflipped off the stage and I was like ‘oh well that’s pretty cool’. I don’t know how we beat that and then when I did my performance on stage, I was like everyone ‘move, move, move’ and I did a roly poly and then I was like beat that! Have some of that! You think you're big doing backflips, I can do a roly poly! Then I think I milked it for a while, did a few too many. But it doesn’t matter, you know! ● CAN YOU SUM UP THE SERIES FOR US IN 3 WORDS? ○ Fun, exciting, interesting! It’s quite interesting to see a few different people on there singing.

BRIAN DOWLING

● WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO TAKE PART IN CELEBRITY KARAOKE CLUB? DID YOU WATCH THE FIRST SERIES OF THE SHOW? ○ I swore to myself I would do stuff that challenged me, such as Dancing With The Stars I took part in in Ireland, which was completely out of my comfort zone and this was another one of these opportunities. It came around at the right time. Plus it was the anniversary of me winning Big Brother- 20 years this year! Celebrity Karaoke Club was one of the best things I’ve done, it was so much fun. I enjoyed every single minute. ● ARE YOU ONE TO TAKE TO THE STAGE AND PICK UP THE MIC? DID YOU HAVE ANY NERVES AT ALL? ○ I’m very reluctant normally to get up and do it but I suppose this gave me the opportunity to do that. Although there is something quite liberating about being able to grab the mic and not sing well! Karaoke is not for singers, it’s for people who can’t sing I think! I’m a dreadful singer I fully admit it- but karaoke is about performance, it’s about selling it. That’s what I relied on, it wasn’t the ability to sing. There is something freeing about grabbing the microphone and everyone knowing you’re a really shit singer and encouraging you to do it. ● WHAT CAN VIEWERS EXPECT FROM THE SERIES? ARE THE STAKES HIGHER FOR SERIES 2? ○ I was quite surprised that I was the oldest person on the show, so I was dad. I think they should be expecting awkward conversations, they should be expecting awful singing and also probably expect people taking it way more seriously than I thought they would. ● HAVE YOU EVER DONE KARAOKE BEFORE? DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MEMORIES? ○ I have done karaoke before at my best friend’s birthday. We would go to a karaoke bar in Chinatown in London, anything I would’ve done before would’ve been a duet to let them take the lead. When you’re on the show you’re dreading your name being called out, thinking - let someone else go ahead! Once someone has gone ahead, it’s kind of easier. ● WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BRING TO YOUR PERFORMANCES? ○ My singing ability is absolutely dreadful, but I am the of this show, I will give you a performance to remember. Britney might not have the best voice in the world but do we care? No we do not. So I will give you hips, I will give you hair flicks, I will give people a reason to have an opinion on my performance. I am the underdog. I give you outfits, I give you hair, I give you props, I give you everything. ● WHEN YOU SAW YOUR COMPETITORS/FELLOW JUDGES FOR THE FIRST TIME, WHO DID YOU THINK YOUR BIGGEST COMPETITION WAS? ○ The minute I saw AJ [Odudu] I thought right, this is my competition! We had so much fun. I thought Tanya was really good fun, I thought Olivia was really good fun. Obviously Amelia can sing. It was a tough crowd and a tough competition! There was a really good cast of people, people I wouldn’t have met unless I went on this show. Olivia and I would never have met unless we’d been cast on the same show. To be around other people in the reality game was quite nice too as we’d gone through the same experience of being on reality shows. ● WHEN JUDGING YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS, WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR FROM THEIR PERFORMANCES? ○ It was basically all performance. I remember being really critical of Sonny Jay at one point because he didn’t know the words to a Spice Girls song! And I was like I’m sorry, I’m calling you out! Know the words to the song Sonny Jay - they’re written on the screen in front of ya! It is what it is, you can’t really take it seriously, as it’s just fun. But you are judging on performance and your ability to sell the song. 10 Celebrity Karaoke Club Series 2 Press Pack Interviews

● WHO DID YOU GET ON WITH BEST IN THE COMPETITION? ○ Every performance was hilarious! Sitting by the bar and just talking to people and getting to know people was really good fun. You forget very quickly you’re on set! Tanya [Bardsley] tried to jump off the stage numerous times for a dirty dancing lift and I was meant to catch her. Each time it just went horribly wrong! She was very persistent and I got it right. It’s the kind of television people want to watch now. This is really just fun, light telly. ● DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MOMENTS FROM FILMING THE SHOW? ○ Memorable, outrageous and stop singing!

MAX & HARVEY

● WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO TAKE PART IN CELEBRITY KARAOKE CLUB? DID YOU WATCH THE FIRST SERIES OF THE SHOW? o Harvey : I think we heard that there would be an opportunity to do karaoke and it is actually something that Max and I always used to love doing whenever we were on holiday or anything like that. We saw the first series, we saw how much fun people were having and we thought, do you know what, this will be a nice opportunity for us to not take the singing as seriously and just perform our hearts out basically. We really liked the opportunity to just sort of go out there and have a blast, which we did. o Max : I literally couldn’t agree more! We had so much fun there! ● ARE YOU ONE TO TAKE TO THE STAGE AND PICK UP THE MIC? DID YOU HAVE ANY NERVES AT ALL? o Max : In all honesty, it depends on the scenario because when it came to karaoke we obviously hadn’t done it as much before, whereas if we are actually sort of performing and we’ve rehearsed it and done stuff, we never normally get nervous. I feel like there was probably only a tiny bit of nerves but not really because we knew we were just going to get up and have some fun and that’s exactly what we did and hopefully people will be able to see that we were just having an absolute time. ● WHAT CAN VIEWERS EXPECT FROM THE SERIES? ARE THE STAKES HIGHER FOR SERIES 2? o Harvey : Well Max definitely pulled a trick or two out the bag. I think honestly they can just expect us having an absolutely amazing time like we said, not taking the actual singing side too seriously but just making sure that no matter what, we are performing 100% even if it is just running around the stage! But yeah there’s definitely a lot of interesting surprises throughout that we were shocked by and I’m sure everyone else in the show was as well. ● HAVE YOU EVER DONE KARAOKE BEFORE? DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MEMORIES? o Max : We certainly have done karaoke before! Majority at things like I don’t know relative’s weddings or just birthday parties. Do you know what is a funny memory? It’s actually not particularly to do with us if there’s ever karaoke. Our Dad will always do the song Angels by and everyone just sort of sighs but then eventually enjoys it a little bit and it’s quite funny to see the whole room go ‘oh look Paul’s getting up! He’s doing Angels.’ o Harvey : We would always go on holiday and there would always be a resort that we were staying at that had karaoke and me and Max would always get up and sing but because we always singing together from a very young age. A lot of people staying at the resort would actually be shocked that we were doing above average. They thought we’d be like these cute kids that had rocked up to karaoke then we’d absolutely sing our hearts out and everyone would just be like wait what? Everyone was always so shocked so that was another nice memory of karaoke. ● WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BRING TO YOUR PERFORMANCES? o Harvey : We definitely brought a massive amount of energy. You know we wanted to make sure that our performance was engaging from start to finish whether that be doing a certain thing that was really cool that no one else had done or no one else could do or absolutely having the time of our lives and making sure the people watching us in the room are also joining in and having the time of their lives. We like to make sure everyone is having a good time basically. ● WHEN YOU SAW YOUR COMPETITORS/FELLOW JUDGES FOR THE FIRST TIME, WHO DID YOU THINK YOUR BIGGEST COMPETITION WAS? o Harvey : We obviously already knew Sonny Jay and we knew that he was a singer beforehand so obviously we were great friends and it was amazing being in the competition together. But at the same time, we were sort of keeping an eye on him because we did know that he could really pull it out the bag 12 Celebrity Karaoke Club Series 2 Press Pack Interviews

and then as well Amelia is an absolutely astonishing singer so she was definitely one to keep an eye on because you know, she could blow us all out of the water with just her vocals alone. She was incredible! o Max : I mean we sort of got scoped out at the start as well for the absolutely wrong reason by Olivia [Attwood] as she thought we were Jedward so she had her eyes on us but for the completely wrong reason! ● WHEN JUDGING YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS, WHAT WERE YOU LOOKING FOR FROM THEIR PERFORMANCES? o Max : I think we essentially looked for whoever was blatantly having the most fun. I think if you know the lyrics, it does go a lot better. But obviously if you recover with sort of dancing or just general flamboyant moves, I think that also recovers it so genuinely just whoever was in the moment the most really. I think definitely some people were and some people weren’t as much! That doesn’t really matter at the end of the day, whoever goes, goes out. ● WHO DID YOU GET ON WITH BEST IN THE COMPETITION? o Harvey : I would say we definitely got along best with Sonny! That was from the get go. We already knew him going in and we didn’t know he was going to be in there, it was a complete surprise to us but you know yeah we were best buds! We formed a mini alliance because obviously we knew that there were some real personalities in there that we might have to sort of battle against to stay in the competition so yeah that was a lot of fun being in there with Sonny definitely. ● DO YOU HAVE ANY FUNNY MOMENTS FROM FILMING THE SHOW? o Harvey : Yes! There was one moment that was ever so slightly terrifying so Max and I have seen a lot of reality TV. We’ve never really been massively involved other than obviously X-Factor Celebrity which was a very different part of reality TV. We really got thrown in the deep end when I made the decision to tell Olivia something and she didn’t take it too well to it if I’m completely honest. I certainly had my first ever reality argument with someone which you know to this day, I still can’t quite comprehend. It was really quite something so yeah, that was just hilarious for me. o Max : It was less of an argument and more of Liv just shouting at us and us being terrified. o Harvey : Ha ha and we were just victims. You’ll see in the programme what happens but I’d like to say we have made up now, yeah! ● CAN YOU SUM UP THE SERIES FOR US IN 3 WORDS? o Max : I would say colourful, energetic... and dress-up. o Harvey : I would say chaotic, explosive and fabulous, those are the three!
