ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374) RESTRICTED ZONES IN In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 8 August 2001, the following sections of roads in Mong Kok will be designated restricted zones from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily except Sundays and Public Holidays:— (a) the southern kerbside lane of Mong Kok Road from its junction with to a point about 80 metres west of its junction with ; (b) the northern kerbside lane of Mong Kok Road from its junction with Shanghai Street to a point about 45 metres west of the same junction; (c) the northern kerbside lane of Bute Street from its junction with to a point about 35 metres west of the same junction; (d ) the section of between Nathan Road and West; (e) the southern kerbside lane of Prince Edward Road West from its junction with Lai Chi Kok Road to a point about 55 metres east of the same junction; ( f ) the northern kerbside lane of Prince Edward Road West from its junction with Tai Nan Street to a point about 40 metres west of the same junction; (g) the western kerbside lane of Tai Nan Street from its junction with Prince Edward Road West to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction; (h) the northern kerbside lane of Prince Edward Road West between Tai Nan Street and Portland Street; (i) the western kerbside lane of Portland Street between Prince Edward Road West and Yu Chau Street; ( j) the eastern kerbside lane of Yu Chau Street from its junction with Portland Street to a point about 45 metres north of the same junction; (k) the southern kerbside lane of Prince Edward Road West from its junction with South to a point about 40 metres east of the same junction; (l) the eastern kerbside lane of Tung Choi Street from its junction with to a point about 55 metres south of the same junction; (m) the eastern kerbside lane of Tung Choi Street from its junction with Boundary Street to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction; (n) the eastern kerbside lane of from its junction with Mong Kok Road to a point about 60 metres north of its junction with Prince Edward Road West; (o) the southern kerbside lane of Prince Edward Road West from its junction with Sai Yee Street to a point about 90 metres east of the same junction; ( p) the northern kerbside lane of Prince Edward Road West from its junction with Sai Yee Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction; (q) the eastern kerbside lane of Sai Yee Street between Prince Edward Road West and Flower Market Road; and (r) the southern kerbside lane of Flower Market Road between Sai Yee Street and Yuen Po Street. Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:— (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or (b) loading or unloading goods. The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs. At the same time, the existing 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily restricted zones in the same sections of roads in Mong Kok will be rescinded.
