Process Controls Engineer Develop and execute the electrical and controls training plan for the maintenance department Provide trouble shooting, problem analysis and technical support to the plant on all shifts, as needed. Maintain the plant’s electrical drawings and PLC programs Prepare specifications and design electrical process flows for assigned projects and oversee the preparation of all necessary drawings. Specify, bid, select, and purchase required equipment, parts and contract installation services for assigned projects to assure that the project is implemented as scheduled with minimal production interruptions. Supervision of work conducted by maintenance mechanics, contractors, and service personnel to assure efficient coordination and completion of assigned projects as scheduled. Prepare CAR’s and REA’s for new projects, maintain required project documentation, monitor and control project costs within the budget. Administer the implementation of maintenance and operator training for all new equipment and systems installed on new projects. Keep abreast of new technological developments through professional study and journals and initiate uses within the plant. Manage the plant electrical power, control and programming applications ensuring updated documentation meeting or exceeding PepsiCo, NEC, NFPA, State and local Standards and Insurance requirements. Utilize available application computer programs in order to facilitate the accurate interpretation and reporting of performance data. Actively participate in plant safety efforts. Effectively Lead TPM initiatives and teams to assist facility with productivity gains Drive a portion of the Planned Maintenance pillar (Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Breakdown Analysis, Stockroom) Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering. 5 years minimum of practical experience in plant electrical or controls applications. Strong foundation in interpersonal communication concepts, specifically written and oral presentation, listening, and facilitation skills. Robust project management and organization skills in the areas of planning, scheduling, and execution. Strong electrical and programming skills Must be self-motivated, results and action oriented. Ability to make independent and sound decisions. Experience with: Wonderware, panelview, A/B PLC 5 and SLC 500, devicenet, control logix, RS logix, VFD setup, PID loop tuning, processing instrument calibration, and package handling and conveying. .
