For Immediate Release December 22, 2015 Landmark Headmaster, Bob Broudo Named 2015 Beverly Citizen of the Year BEVERLY, MA – Earlier this month Robert J. Broudo, was named 2015 Citizen of the Year by Beverly’s Police Department and Community Advisory Committee. Bob is a founding faculty member at Landmark School and for the past 26 years has served as its Headmaster. Since 1971, Landmark has established itself as a leader in the field of serving students in grades 2 - 12 with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities with campuses in Prides Crossing and Manchester, MA. Bob was born and raised in Beverly, attended Beverly High School, and is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame for Track. He received his undergraduate degree from Bates College and M.Ed. from Boston University. Bob has tirelessly supported the Beverly Police Department working to improve public safety and the quality of life in the city. He served on Beverly’s Leadership Council established in 1995 implementing an effective program of community-oriented policing. In 2007 the Leadership Council was reorganized as the Community Advisory Committee under then chief Mark Ray. Bob has served as the Committee’s Chairperson ever since. Bob’s guidance and leadership have ensured that the Community Advisory Committee and the Beverly Police Department work as partners. As a noted educator, leader, and organizer in the region, Bob has served on several boards of directors on the North Shore including Glen Urquhart School, Brookwood School, Waring School, Anti Defamation League, and DanversBank in additional to national associations such as the Learning Disabilities of America. more P.O. Landmark School is an independent, coeducational boarding and day school located on two campuses in Beverly and Manchester, MA with elementary, middle, and college preparatory high school programs. It serves students, grades 2 – 12, with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities. Students possess average to above average intelligence and normal behavioral development.
