Waking up in a tacky coffin and wearing off-brand shoes, Betsy Taylor can't believe the horrible turn her life has taken; then she discovers she's a vampire. He sounds rather snooty instead of alpha whenever he utters his dialogue. Laura reveals that she'd known all along about Betsy and about herself, but she was waiting for Betsy to trust her enough. Brief article Audiobook review ". As their bargaining chip, the staff kidnap Betsy's half-sister Laura, mistaking her for an ordinary human girl. Hell better watch out, because their new ruler is just getting started. Most Helpful Most Recent. In Undead and Unwary , vampire queen Betsy Taylor and her savvy retinue sink their teeth into a delicious problem - how to out-devil the devil. This'll rot it for sure. Hell is still nothing more than a misty void of nothingness, until Betsy runs into a familiar soul or two. What to do? For her part of the bargain, Betsy must take her half-sister, Laura, to Hell, so Laura can develop an appreciation for her dark heritage. Whatever works. Undead and Unwed is the first adventure of Elizabeth Anne "Betsy" Taylor in the Undead series after her transformation into a vampire. Cancel anytime. Accidentally Dead Accidentals Series 2. In this installment of the Undead series, Betsy spends close to two-thirds of the book c I'm hard pressed to give this two stars. After this Laura is sent to feed him. I don't want sad or depressing in a world where the vampire queen is named Betsy and obsessed with shoes! She's especially whiny in this one. The whole scheme was unveiled and I felt stupid afterwards. The book marks the series' first time being printed in hardback and was listed on the Wall Street Journal 's hardcover bestseller list for July 14, Harrison Length: 8 hrs and 20 mins Unabridged Overall. Before finding Laura, Betsy is frustrated by not knowing enough and resolves to read the Book of the Dead, a holy relic for vampires analogous to the Bible. Most of the Fiends are being tended to by Betsy's vampire friend Alice, but George continually escapes and makes his way to Betsy's house. Young adult review ". No, wait. B and B owner Bea Cartwright has taken on the responsibility of taking meals The novel's climax occurs in a nightclub, Scratch. But when you're Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor, they can become downright deadly Narration is fantastic. The narrator is perfect and the story line will keep you smiling. Nick is back and no longer hates her, Jessica is pregnant and Garrett, aka George the Fiend, is alive. Start your review of Undead and Uneasy Undead, 6. Could it have something to do with her recent time- traveling excursion, or has a wicked enemy emerged who could be the end of Betsy once and for all? This series is funny, however, it seems like the later books are getting shorter and shorter so the author can milk the revenue. And the vampire hunters are becoming a real pain, murdering innocent vampires. Read an excerpt of this book! Add payment method. Sassy and quirky, with heaping doses of paranormal romance, MaryJanice Davidson's New York Times best-selling Queen Betsy series sinks its teeth into fans and never lets go. This Book seemed so short because I reached the end so fast. If I want sadness, I would watch the presidential debates - but I don't! Things were kinda lame and boring in the last book. Average rating 3. Undead and Unfinished. That's probably the last one of these I read. Laura turns out to be a beautiful but bashful girl just beginning college, and eager to do the right thing for everyone. Dangerous levels of toxins have been found in the local seawater. Details if other :. But Betsy herself is in an odd new position as well - that of being a responsible monarch suddenly in charge of all things more earth-bound: like her vampire husband, Sinclair, who has gone from relieved to ecstatic to downright reckless now that he can tolerate sunlight. But when Sinclair truly goes missing, and not just to avoid wedding preparations, along with most of her friends and loved ones, Betsy is frantic. Categories :. Funny series with Betsy the "Vampire Queen",I know right, Betsy, aka Elizabeth Taylor, as if that is any better, because still people ask about that. It will be interesting to see if it continues. The novel's climax occurs in a nightclub, Scratch. Penguin Publishing Group. Other editions. With his victims all being, blond women. I get that he is pissed given what happened in the first book, but really? Undead and Unemployed. I dream about locking you up in a sunny cell. Getting to know Laura, Betsy likes her although she envies her beauty and can't bring herself to tell her about her sordid vampiric life or that Laura herself is the "spawn of Satan" and destined to conquer the world. Explore Now. Undead and Unappreciated. Betsy must care for her orphaned baby brother, BabyJon, and worry about Jessica, her seriously ill best friend, while trying to find the guests and groom before the wedding date is past. Betsy is still preparing for her wedding to Vampire King Eric Sinclair, but this time there are even more complications than usual -- Jessica is still sick with cancer, some people close to her have ended up dead, Tina has been sent to ease ruffled vampire feathers in Europe, and the King himself seems to be hiding away, sulking. But when you're Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor, they can become downright deadly Another dumb, but fun, trip through Queen Betsy's life. None really Any additional comments? Coventry Evening Telegraph England subscription required. While Betsy is dealing with this, a visitor from the future arrives and waits for her to do something, and so does the devil, but she has no idea what either of them wants. It opens with a semi-serious discussion between Marc and Betsy about his recovery from alcoholism. Mar 25, Danyelle rated it liked it Shelves: paranormal , romance , vampire , older-man. Story over. While MJD successfully parodies B-movie vampires in her Undead series there is a danger of self parody creeping into the stories. There are some laugh out loud moments, so watch out if you're reading it and there are some people near you! The ending, what happened after the battle with this book's villain I didn't expect that person to be the one doing all the stuff, but then again I could have guessed? A very modern vampire, Betsy Taylor is facing some formidible challenges. Never saw the villain in this one until the end. Retrieved July 17, Pay using card ending in. Great fun I love this series. Remove from wishlist failed. Phew, I think I have mentioned everything I wanted to mention, though I may have missed something as this book was a rollercoaster of fun, mystery, excitement, and more. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. I was just praying that things would pick back up and I was pleased that this book upped the standards. Along with her human buddies, there's a ghost, a werewolf, and a Fiend crashing at her place. But when Sinclair truly goes missing - and not just to avoid wedding preparations - along with most of her friends and loved ones, Betsy is frantic. So does her merperson ruler, the High Prince of the Black Sea. But I just didn't like that it took Betsy to flip for her mom to understand. It was released on July 5, and was reviewed by the Library Journal. Trying to add in serious elements mixed in with the fun-loving Betsy just doesn't really work as well together. Betsy agrees, but only under the condition that Satan fix things so that Betsy can read the Book of the Dead for more than just a few minutes. Uh-oh, it looks like your Internet Explorer is out of date. Book 6 is the new best of the series IMHO. Error rating book. The Book describes Betsy's ascension to Queen of the Vampires and her marriage to Eric, and also predicts that her half-sister Laura is fated to take over the world. It was a case of the right book at the right time.
