Made 14th June 1978 Coming into operation 17th July 1978 The Department 'of the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Road Traffic Act (Northern Ireland) 1970(a) and now vested in itCh) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf hereby makes the following regulations: - . Citation and commencement 1. These regulations may be cited as the Prohibition of Right or Left-Hand Turn (Belfast) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1978 and shall come into operation on 17th July 1978. Prohibition of right-hand turn 2. No person shall cause any vehicle proceeding on the roads specified in coluInp. 1 of Schedule 1 to make a right-hand turn into the road specified in column 20f Schedule 1 during the hours and on the days specified in colu,qlns 3 and 4 respectively while proceeding in the direction specified in .co}umn 5 in relation to the road specified in column 1 of Schedule 1. Prohibition of left-hand turn 3. No person shall. cause any vehicle proceeding on the roads specified in column 1 of Schedule 2 to make a left-hand tum into the road specified iIi. column 2 of Schedule 2 during the hours and on the days specified in columns 3 and 4 respectively while proceeding in the direction specified in column 5 in relation to the road specified in column 1 of Schedule 2.
