EUROPEAN INTEGRATION AT THE CROSSROADS

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF POLITICAL SCIENCE, ECONOMICS AND LAW

UNDER THE AUSPICES OF HIS EXCELLENCY KAREL SCHWARZENBERG CZECH MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

Mission

The idea of the conference is to draw attention to recent questions of the development of the EU indicated in the three sections through the most competent European speakers: a) to provide a broad picture from three perspectives (political, legal, economic); b) to allow Czech scholars to discuss these issues in Czech environment with them; c) to enable the motivated students to take part in this discussion, d) to draw attention of the policy-makers to the complex character of these issues and show that the Czech academic discourse is part of the broader setting which provides important impetus for the political discourse and policy-making on the European level. We believe that such event – organized at the time of 50th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome – will attract due attention of both the academia and broader audience.

Programme
