Long before modern day settlers came to the area, Bear Lake State Park the Bannock and Shoshone Indian tribes gathered at these springs. Now known for the relaxing and restor- ative mineral waters, the Lava Hot Springs hot pools are made up of five soaking pools of varying tempera- ture without the sulfur odor.
