Press Release Richard Childress Racing March Richard Childress Racing selects Enterprise Systems Corporation to provide Avaya Networking Systems FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Larry Cothern Vice President, Sales 704-936-6859 [email protected] http://www.enter-sys.com CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – March, 2012 – It was announced that Richard Childress Racing has selected Enterprise Systems Corporation to provide a complete Avaya networking solution. The solution includes Avaya 5600 series high performance Ethernet Switching. The solution provides services for up to 600 ports. ABOUT ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS CORPORATION Enterprise Systems Corporation is a full service Technology Partner, providing consulting, deployment and managed services. Technology products and services include premise and cloud based Voice from Avaya, Mitel and Shoretel; Wired and Wireless Networking from Avaya, Enterasys, HP, Aruba, Dell and Ruckus; Security from Watchguard as well as cabling infrastructure. ABOUT RICHARD CHILDRESS RACING RCR was a one-team NASCAR Sprint Cup Series shop (No. 3 team) from 1969-1994. A NASCAR Camping World Truck Series program (No. 3) was added in 1995 and a second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team (No. 31) was added for the 1997 season. A two-team NASCAR Nationwide Series program (Nos. 2 and 21) was started for the 2000 season and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team ceased operation. A third NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team (former No. 30, most recently No. 07) was started in 2001 to run a part-time schedule and became a full-time program in 2002. A third NASCAR Nationwide Series team (No. 29) was added in 2006 to run a partial schedule and became a full-time program in 2007. Two years later, the No. 33 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team was formed, giving RCR four entries for the 2009 season. The Welcome, N.C.-based organization returned to three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams in 2010 and rejuvenated its NASCAR Camping World Truck Series program (No.3) and added an ARCA Racing Series team (No. 31) before expanding to four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entries, two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and two ARCA Racing Series teams for the 2011 season. .

An event study proposal by Meredith Seurkamp This paper investigates the costs and benefits of NASCAR sponsorship. Sports sponsorship is increasing in popularity as marketers attempt to build more personal relationships with their consumers. These sponsorships range from athlete endorsements to the sponsorship of an event or physical venue. These types of sponsorships have a number of costs and benefits, as reviewed in this paper, and the individual firm must use its discretion whether sports sponsorship coincides with its marketing goals. NASCAR, a sport that has experienced a recent boom in popularity, is one of the most lucrative sponsorship venues in professional sports. NASCAR, which began as a single race in 1936, now claims seventy-five million fans and over one hundred FORTUNE 500 companies as sponsors. NASCAR offers a wide variety of sponsorship opportunities, such as driver sponsorship, event sponsorship, track signage, and a number of other options. This paper investigates the fan base at which these marketing messages are directed. Research of NASCAR fans indicates that these fans are typically more brand loyal than the average consumer. NASCAR fans exhibit particular loyalty to NASCAR sponsors that financially support the auto racing sport. The paper further explains who composes the NASCAR fan base and how NASCAR looks to expand into additional markets.

Austin, a 2016 Cedarville mechanical engineering graduate, is an electrical engineer at Richard Childress Racing (RCR). RCR is home to drivers like Austin Dillon, Paul Menard, Ryan Newman and its namesake, Richard Childress. RCR currently fields three teams in the NASCAR Cup Series and five teams in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. RCR has accumulated 17 championships and more than 200 victories across NASCAR’s top three series, including two Daytona 500 wins and three Brickyard 400 victories. RCR is also home to ECR Engines, a subsidiary company that provides RCR race cars with high-performance engines.
