Report on Grants and IT Donations (2015)

The EIB Institute aims at promoting local philanthropy by channeling support, mainly through grants for eligible initiatives or donations of IT equipment that is no longer used by the EIB Group, to non-profit organisations, local community centres or schools.

In 2015, in the framework of the “Small Grants” Initiative, the Institute approved 24 grants, equating to a total of EUR 75 000, for the benefit of 23 different organisations. The table below provides further details on total requests:

Furthermore, outside the “Small Grants” budget of EUR 75 000, the Institute managed the following special donations (details on page 4):

3 - Beneficiaries of decommissioned IT equipment in 2015

In total 339 desktop PCs and 682 laptops, corresponding to a total of 58 requests, were donated in 2015, to beneficiaries located in France (36%), Luxembourg (17%), Belgium (14%), Bulgaria (9%), Slovakia (4%), Germany and Kenya (3%), Albania, Hungary, Lithuania, Morocco, Romania, Spain and Tunisia (2% each).
