Congratulations on purchasing your RS Feva Race Pack. This pack in conjunction with good skills will put your RS Feva at the front of the fleet.

clew strap

• 6:1 kicker

• Mainsail downhaul system

halyard purchase sheave 1 - Adjustable Bridle

1)

• Unthread your mainsheet completely.

• Remove existing mainsheet bridle by undoing knots under the gunwhale at the stern of the boat.

2)

• Take one end of the new bridle and thread through the rear gunwhale hole.

• Repeat this process on the opposite side of the boat.

3) • Thread the bridle ends through the bobbles and tie a figure of eight knot on each side of the bobble to secure.

4)

• Adjust the bridle with the loose ends through the splice to ensure that the block is on the centreline of the boat.

5) • Re-thread the mainsheet. 2 - Boom Outhaul System

1) • Remove the existing outhaul system completely.

2)

• Using the thin line already attached, tie the 20mm block above the boom collar on the mast, using a reef knot.

3)

• Thread the 4mm line (loop end first) through the ‘D’ eye at the end of the boom.

4)

• Pass it through the mainsail clew then back down through the ‘D’ eye.

5)

• Thread the loop over the back end of the boom to secure.

6) • Tie the remaining ‘control line’ to the bridge of the cleat on the boom, using a bowline. 2 - Boom Outhaul System

7)

• Pass the loose end through the block (on the 4mm line with loop).

8) • Pass the end forward through the boom cleat.

9)

• Pass the end through the block which was tied to the mast.

10)

• Make a loop in the tail using a bowline. 3 - Mainsail Clew Strap

1)

• Thread the strap through the clew (fluffy side down) to the midpoint of the strap.

2) • Pull the clew close to the boom and wrap the double sided end around it.

Ensure it is inside all lines and reasonably tight.

3)

• Pull the single sided end down and around the boom, again ensuring it is inside all lines.

4)

• Pass the end back through the clew and ensure all velcro is attached as shown in picture. 4 - 6:1 Race Kicker

1) • Remove existing kicker from the mast and boom, keeping all the mast and boom attachment strops.

2)

• Thread the boom strop through the top block of the new kicker.

3)

• Pass the strop back through the lacing eye and secure with a knot.

4) • Attach the swivel shackle (located at the base of the jammer) to the large shackle/clip attached to the mast strop. 5 - Race Downhaul System

1) • Remove the existing downhaul system.

2)

• Untie the reef knot in the rope loop and re-tie around the mast, passing through the kicker lacing eye.

Ensure all items stay attached!

3)

• Take the top block (with hook) and connect to the downhaul cringle at the tack of the mainsail.

4)

• Take the control line from above the final block in the system and thread it through the mast downhaul cleat. 6 - Jib Halyard Purchase System

1) • Hoist your jib all the way to the top.

2)

• Thread the halyard through the sheave and tie a double overhand knot so sheave is level with rivet as shown in picture.

3)

• Lead the halyard down to the horn cleat. Cleat off and tie a double overhand knot to make a loop, leading the halyard back under the horn cleat.

4)

• Lead the halyard up and around the sheave and back down through the bottom loop. 6 - Jib Halyard Purchase System

5)

• Finally lead the halyard back up and through the centre of the sheave. Apply tension and tie off either on the cleat or below the sheave.
