Mar. 11-14 at Southland Conference Tournament HARDY GETS STEALS RECORD * - Southland Conference games Senior guard Kevin Hardy became McNeese’s all-time career leader in steals when his two swipes on Saturday pushed him past Demond Mallet as the record holder with 208. That 208 also ranks him among the Southland Conference’s best All times Central and subject to change in that category, as he ranks No. 10 on the list. Home games in ALL CAPS All home games will be played in Burton Coliseum GUIDRY-HARDY DUO IN RARE COMPANY Desharick Guidry and Kevin Hardy joined an elite company on Saturday when Hardy became the 29th player in school history to score his 1,000th career point. Guidry reached the milestone earlier in the year. The two become just the third duo in school history to record his 1,000th career point in the same season. Demond Mallet and Tierre Brown became the first tag-team to hit their marks, that coming in the 2001 season. Then in 2008, John Ford and Jarvis Bradley joined the 1,000-points scored club. Hardy is the first player in school history to record 1,000 points, 500 rebunds, 300 assists and 200 steals in a career while Guidry is the very first player to BASKETBALL STAFF record 1,000 points, 800 rebounds, 100 assists and 100 steals in a career. Eric Willis (McNeese, ‘14) those are falling. McNeese attempted a season-high 32 shots from long range at SLU but also drained a season-high tying 11. That season-high mark was first set just three games earlier at Northwestern State when the Cowboys hit 11 of 22.
