Abel Pregnancy Resource Center’s 22nd Annual Master’s Open Golf Tournament Rules of Play Format: 18 Holes: Captain’s Choice You are allowed to move the ball one (1) club length anywhere on the course subject to the listed exceptions: 1. You cannot move the ball closer to the hole. 2. You cannot move the ball in a hazard-out of the hazard. Traps are rake and place. 3. You cannot move the ball from out of bounds back in bounds. 4. You cannot move the ball at all once it is on the green. 5. Players 65+ play from the gold tees; 70+ and women red tees and everyone else green tees. Each player will have one shot for a Hole-in-One prize of $15,000. This is on hole #10. All players must play from the Green Tees on this hole. If more than one Hole-in-One should occur the prize money of $15,000 will be awarded to each and every winner, with $7,500.00 going to the player and $7,500.00 going to the Abel Pregnancy Resource Center. Get on #10 green 50/50 drawing $5.00. If your tee shot stays on #10 green your name goes in the drawing. Pay $5.00 at hole #10 before teeing off. Trash: If you purchase “The Trash” (Cost is $20.00 per Team) you will have: * 2 Mulligans: You will have 2 Mulligans for use on any shot or shots - subject to the following rules. (Two per player per the 18 holes) 1. Once declared and used, it must be played. 2. If you feel your ball has gone out of bounds or is lost and you play a provisional, you can declare your provisional your Mulligan once the outcome of the first ball has been determined. 3. You CAN use a Mulligan on the “15,000 Hole” if needed, but it does not win $15,000 if it goes in. A Mulligan can be used as needed but does not win any other prize on any other par 3. 4. You CAN Mulligan your Throw. 5. You CAN Mulligan your Mulligan. * 2 Throws: Each player has 2 Throws (This is an extension of your previous shot) which can be used anywhere except: (Two per player per the 18 holes) 1. On a Green - Once on a Green the ball cannot be advanced with a throw. 2. From Out of Bounds back In Bounds. If you are OB you will have to use a mulligan if you have one. 3. Using your throw from the tee of any par 3 is probably not recommended and will not win if it goes in. We will also be using the one putt rule. Once on the green, each golfer gets one putt. If no one makes the putt...pick up, add a stroke for the gimme, and go to the next tee. All other rules of golf apply…or else it just wouldn’t be golf. During play, please keep the team in front of you in view. At end of play, please turn in your score card at the pro-shop and make sure your score has been posted. Then feel free to make your way to the dining room to enjoy the buffet luncheon. The Final Rounds of the 1947 Open Championship Were Played at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake
The Final rounds of the 1947 Open Championship were played at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake. Northern Ireland's Fred Daly became the first Irish winner of the Open Championship, one stroke ahead of runners-up Reg Horne and amateur Frank Stranahan. It was Daly's only major title. Henry Cotton and Laurie Ayton, Jnr shared the first round lead, but in the second round both fell back with rounds of 78 and 80, respectively. After 36 holes Daly owned a four-shot lead over Cotton. Daly had a poor third round, shooting 78 to fall into a tie for the lead with Cotton, Arthur Lees, and Norman Von Nida. There were a further nine players within three-strokes of the lead. Horne, who began two back, made the first move with a 35 on the front-nine. He took a pair of 5s at the 16th and 17th holes, however, and at the 18th his putt for a 3 lipped out. He finished with a 294 total. Daly began the round with a 38 on the front, but he recovered on the back and holed a birdie putt on the 18th to post 293. Cotton made the turn in 36 and needed a 35 on the back to tie Daly, but in the blustery wind this proved too difficult and he finished at 297. That left Stranahan as the last player on the course able to tie Daly. He reached the 17th needing to play the final two holes in 7, but a three-putt led to a 5 and saw him needing an improbable 2 on the last.

P, a professional golfer, entered into endorsement agreements with sponsors Acushnet, TaylorMade, Izod, Upper Deck, Electronic Arts and Rolex. P agreed to allow all sponsors to use his name, face, image and likeness in advertising and marketing campaigns worldwide. P also agreed to perform some services for the sponsors. All endorsement agreements paid P a base endorsement fee. Acushnet, TaylorMade and Izod prorated P’s base endorsement fee if he did not annually play in a specified number of golf tournaments. Moreover, Acushnet, TaylorMade and Izod provided bonuses to P for achieving a specific finish in a PGA or European Tour tournament or a specified ranking on the World Golf Rankings. P characterized the endorsement fees and bonuses from Acushnet, TaylorMade and Izod as 50 percent personal services income and 50 percent royalty income on his nonresident Federal income tax returns for 2002 -2- and 2003. P characterized the endorsement fees from Upper Deck, Electronic Arts and Rolex as 100 percent royalty income. P reported approximately seven percent of the total endorsement income as U.S.-source income. R determined that P should have characterized the endorsement fees and bonuses from Acushnet, TaylorMade and Izod as 100 percent personal services income. R also reallocated a larger percentage of P’s endorsement fees as U.S.-source income. 1.
