BACKGROUND
Infrastructure is the set of structural elements that supports the day-to-day function, and influences the direction of human society. Infrastructure is an essential component of national competitiveness, increasing economic progress and reducing poverty. The infrastructure we are building today will shape tomorrow’s communities. Sustainable infrastructure refers to the designing, building, and operating of these structural elements in ways that do not diminish the social, economic and ecological processes required to maintain human equity, diversity, and the functionality of natural systems. Despite some progress, most developing countries still suffer from insufficient infrastructure access, quality and reliability. Moreover, infrastructure expansion often has come at the expense of the local environment, as well as complicating responses to the longer-term challenge of climate change. The International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI 2019) will focus on sustainability in the built environment, presenting relevant engineering research, demonstrations and applications that contribute to competitiveness and well-being. This conference of civil engineers, urban architects, policy makers, technology experts, researchers, practitioners and other stakeholders in infrastructure development will provide a showcase for the latest developments and advancements in all aspects of planning, design, construction, technology, policy and education related to sustainable infrastructure and also offers a forum to discuss and debate future directions for the 21st Century. This conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration.

Characteristic of Rider Behavior and Technology Influence toward Road Traffic Safety 2 ND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE (ICSI 2019) UNIVERSITAS NEGERI YOGYAKARTA OCTOBER 28, 2019 Background Safe transportation is the desire of every user of transportation facilities, not just transportation that is safe, comfortable and timely, but to be able to realize it requires awareness by drivers in driving vehicles with caution, to find out various types of accidents that occur, it is necessary to research the causes and accident patterns. Factors causing traffic Efforts to improve road Infrastructure factor Government accidents safety
Regulations, policies and Characteristic of rider behavior education
Facility: the government is less able to provide direct action on the process of preparing the vehicle to be used
Audit: road geometries, road equipment facilities, and side barriers. Road safety audits are part of the road traffic safety engineering and management program and are not the only tool for government in efforts to improve road traffic safety.
Research purposes: Characteristic of Rider Behavior and Technology Influence toward Road Traffic Safety -DATA => INVESTIGATION METHOD-
➢ Traffic survey ➢ Road geometric ➢ Road complementary ➢ Speed ➢ Barriers ➢ Interview ➢ Road conditions ➢ Integrated Road Safety Management System (2018/2019) The location of research conducted at the Special Region of Yogyakarta, by surveying the area of the accident Movement of people/goods in and between regions that are safe, comfortable, safe and on time The increase in population if not followed by improvements in the field of road safety management, both in terms of infrastructure, vehicles and human resources, puts considerable pressure on the road network and traffic control devices. -characteristics of accident victims-
-Productive Age
-The highest number of accident victims is male -characteristics of accident victims-
-Productive Time
-Settlements -characteristics of accident victims-
-Human Factor
-Employee and Student -characteristics of accident victims-
-Motor Cycle -characteristics of accident victims-
-There are no accident victims caused by road factors and vehicle factor- -characteristics of accident victims-
-There are no accident victims caused by technological factors- Conclusion
1. Based on the data it can be classified that the greatest age of accident is productive age which is 16-25 years with an average percentage of 32.66%, this can occur due to psychological factors namely emotions (not yet stable), maturity in driving, driving experience, intelligence (knowledge in driving), motivation (driving because of existence) and not yet having a drivers license. And the biggest age that had an accident was at the age of 51-60 years with an average percentage of 20.93%, this could be due to physiological factors namely the nervous system, vision, hearing, feeling stability, and modification (drug effect, tired, and others). And the type of vehicle that often crashes is a motorcycle with an average percentage of 85.08%. 2. Accidents in the Special Region of Yogyakarta are caused by Human Factor with an average percentage of 100%, this is due to the disorderly condition of motorists in traffic (62.3%), due to excessive speed limits (19.1%), careless driving (15.8%), tired body condition (2.1%), drowsiness (0.3%), and the influence of drugs/alcohol (0.1%). And the biggest time of occurrence is when the active time at work/activities from 06.00 - 18.00 is 64.1%, and night riders from 18.00 - 06.00 is 35.5%. 3. Based on accident location data and adjusted for road functions, the number of vehicles that occur on local roads is 45.48%, collector roads are 23.09%, arterial roads are 18.32%, and environmental roads are 12.29%. Based on 2019 IRSMS data, the accidents that occur are very small due to road factors (road damage, signs, markers, road geometries, etc.) that is 0%, technological factors (cellphone use, billboards, etc.) by 0%, and vehicle factors (brakes do not work, vehicle lights, restrictions, etc.) that is 0%. 4. Based on the results of a survey of interviews with the community around the location of the accident, the majority of the community gave advice to be given / periodic repairs of road complementary facilities (signs, markers, lighting, etc.) which amounted to 51.71% and repairs of road pavement / periodic maintenance amounting to 27.57%. Recommendation
1. Based on the conclusion of the analysis, Human Factor is the highest factor in the occurrence of accidents, so the Government needs to take good handling in aspects of public knowledge of safe and secure driving rules in the form of Safety Campaign, namely 1) 5 main risk factors: helmets, belts, safety, speeding, drunk, mobile phone users, vulnerable road users; 2) healthy behavior on the road. Safety Campaign is also highly recommended for children under the age of 17 years, this is intended so that children get road safety knowledge early on, also know the rules in driving, as well as the theory in the Driving License test and the stages that need to be prepared before getting a Driving License. 2. The government needs to provide school transportation in every region with a definite headway, so that school children can travel using school transportation, this aims so that no school children use private vehicles to school because they do not have a Driving License and provide solutions for parents of students who do not can take their children to school.
