Extreme Trails Appropriate for someone in exceptional hiking/climbing condition; trails not always accessible; extreme increase in elevation • Six Nations Recreation Trail System includes Sugar Hill and Goundry Hill State Forest: 40 miles Disclaimer: The main trail of the (FLT) is also called the North Country Scenic Trail. Trails in the Finger Lakes Trail System are for pedestrian foot travel only. The FLT crosses both public and private lands. Land managers and landowners may close the trail, the trail may be rerouted, or the trail may be impacted by logging or natural events such as high winds or flash flooding. All trail users must respect landowner wishes and honor trail closures. Do not stray from the trail when on private land. Information about trail closures, hunting and high water closure bypass routes, and trail conditions that have been reported, as well as detailed maps for hiking can be found at www.fingerlakestrail.org.
