Pharmacy Technician (Tech III) Join Northeastern Ontario’s Health Care Leader

Health Sciences North (HSN) is an academic health sciences centre affiliated with the Health Sciences North Research Institute and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. HSN ranks among Canada’s Top 40 hospitals and is a regional resource and referral centre for over 565,000 residents across northeastern Ontario.

Health Sciences North is currently seeking Pharmacy Technicians to join its Clinical Pharmacy Team supported by Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to provide medication management and distribution support across all HSN sites and includes; centralized intravenous admixture, chemotherapy agents admixture, total parenteral nutrition support service, unit dose medication preparation, drug information, patient medication counseling, and medication reconciliation. Pharmacy Teams at HSN also support fully accredited retail services through HSNRx operations.

An automated robotic packaging facility to support full unit dose production, hospital-wide automated medication distribution units, and a state-of-the-art central IV admixture facility support Pharmacy services.

The successful candidate must have graduated from an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program and be registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (RPhT). Consideration may be given to candidates who are registered with the OCP (Valid OCP #) and have a signed agreement documenting their intent of becoming a fully regulated RPhT within 12 months.
