The Wharton Club of Africa The Wharton Club of Africa (WCA) incorporated in September 2013 in Mauritius as a non-profit organisation (GBC2), is the professional alumni association (recognised by The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania) as the official global Wharton Alumni Association (an affinity and regional club) for all Wharton Alumni (across Africa and globally) with a mission to support the Africa-related business interests of its members, education (incl. supporting the school in its Africa recruiting activities), social activities, and promote the Wharton Brand in Africa. WCA has an elected Board of Directors, Country Representatives, Sector Chairs, and an Executive Advisory Board. Membership network is ca. 1,800+ in 40 countries in Africa, and 25 countries ROW; consisting of all Wharton degrees (MBA, PhD, Exec MBA, undergrad), current Wharton MBA students, and alumni with Penn Graduate degrees. The Club is extremely active across Africa and globally in specific programs and events to support its members. All WCA Events are currently open to and welcome non-Wharton Alumni in the spirit of promoting networking and collaboration amongst all. The Club is supported by a professional team of service providers including Ernst & Young (auditors), BLC Chambers (Legal Counsel), Sphere Management (Mauritius Administrator), Jubilee (Insurance), AfrAsia Bank (official bank),Channel Digital (Website Maintenance), and SmartPA (Administrative Team).
