THE LONDON GAZETTE, 21sr JUNE 1973 7471 NEW TOWNS ACTS CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION NEW TOWNS ACT 1965 The Development Corporation No. 12 ( No. 2) Compulsory'Purchase Order 1973 Notice is hereby given that the Central Lancashire New Town Development Corporation in pursuance of their powers under section 7 of the New Towns Act 1965 on 13th June 1973 made an Order which has been submitted for confirmation by the Secretary of State for the Environment, authorising them to purchase compulsocily for the purposes' of securing the laying out and development of the New Town, the land described in the Schedule hereto being part of the Designated Area of the Central Lancashire-New Town. A copy of the Order and of the map referred to therein, have been deposited at the offices of the Central Lancashire New Town Development Corporation, Pavilion, Bamber Bridge, Preston PR5 6AZ and will be open for inspection without payment of fee between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive. Any objection to the Order must be made in writing, stating the grounds of the objection and addressed to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Caxton House, Tothill Street, London S.W.I before 18th July 1973. The Secretary of State is not, in all cases, required to arrange for objections to be heard by a person appointed by him for that purpose. It is important, therefore, that an objection should include a full statement in writing of the grounds on which the objection is made as the objector may have no further opportunity to make such a statement. Any owner or occupier of any land to which the Order relates may send to the Central Lancashire New Town Development Corporation at the address below a request in writing to serve him with a notice that the Order has been confirmed, and naming a place where a copy of the Order and of the Map and of any descriptive matter annexed thereto, may be seen.
