Fontecchio ebbe anche 3.1 rimbalzi a partita e giocò una gara contro l’Olimpia, a Milano, finita 82-80. In quella gara, segnò cinque punti. Simone Fontecchio, che è il giocatore più giovane del roster biancorosso con i suoi 23 anni, quest’anno ha superato i 1.000 punti segnati nel campionato di Serie A. Il coach di Cremona, Meo Sacchetti, ha allenato in Nazionale Andrea Cinciarini, Amedeo Della Valle, Jeff Brooks, Christian Burns e Simone Fontecchio. Brooks è stato allenato da Sacchetti anche a Sassari per una stagione. CHI SONO GLI ARBITRI La partita Cremona-Milano sarà diretta da Manuel Mazzoni, Beniamino Attard e Giulio Pepponi. PIANIGIANI 50 VITTORIE PER L’OLIMPIA Simone Pianigiani ha vinto a Reggio Emilia la partita numero 50 in campionato sulla panchina dell’Olimpia. Ne aveva vinte 32 l’anno passato, playoff inclusi, su 43. Il bilancio adesso è di 50 su 65. Tra le sconfitte è conteggiata quella a tavolino – in realtà vinta – contro Pistoia di questa stagione. CINCIARINI TERZO DI SEMPRE NEGLI ASSIST OLIMPIA Andrea Cinciarini figura al settimo posto di sempre nella classifica degli assist del campionato italiano dopo aver scavalcato addirittura Mike D’Antoni. Si trova a nove assist di distanza dal sesto posto che appartiene a Pierluigi Marzorati. Cinciarini intanto è giunto a quota 354 assist in maglia Olimpia ed è salito al terzo posto di sempre nella storia del club per assist in Serie A. James si era già impossessato a pari merito sempre con lo stesso Cook del record di assist in una gara di EuroLeague con 12. Il record di assist nel campionato italiano appartiene a Luca Vitali con 18 (due volte). A quota 16 ci sono Marques Green, Ronald Moore e Dee Brown. Con 15, James ha eguagliato Toni Kukoc e Peppe Poeta. MIKE JAMES – Contro Varese ha segnato 27 punti migliorando i 26 di Bologna, suo nuovo record nel campionato italiano.
