What to study Our pupils start off studying four A Levels. Some may choose to drop a subject at the end of Year 12, but many continue with all four subjects. Choose from these subjects:

Art English Literature Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (PRE) Biology French Physical Education Business Geography Physics Chemistry German Politics Computer Science History Psychology Design Technology Russian Drama and Theatre Maths & Further Maths Spanish Economics Music

There is also the option to study BTEC Sports and Exercise Science with one other A Level subject. The Edge The Edge is a unique programme giving you skills to set you apart in today’s rapidly changing and increasingly competitive world. Topics include understanding mental health, giving briefings and making presentations, cooking and nutrition and health and fitness for life. You will also complete a Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management.

Extended Project Qualification You can complete an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) during the Sixth Form. You will choose a question in any subject area, research that topic and finally write a 5,000 word essay to answer their original question. This qualification is valued as part of a UCAS application.

Co-curricular activities There are a variety of co-curricular activities to take part in, including music, drama, sport, debating and Duke of Edinburgh Award.

A Level results and university destinations In 2020, over 60% of A Levels were graded A*-A and 39 students received at least three A grades.

A*-A: 61% A*-B: 86% A*-C: 98% A*-E: 100%
