1. Summary

The current local area priorities were set in March 2014. The LAF have agreed to review the priorities. A report is provided showing recent local data, and a summary of previous schemes.

2. Recommendation

2.1 The Beeches Local Area Forum is asked to consider the current priorities, and to identify any new ones, and to agree any which are no longer to be addressed by the local area forum.

3. Background

3.1 Beeches LAF has a Local Priorities devolved budget to be used for local priorities agreed as part of its Local Area Plan and which fit with the County Council’s strategic priorities. This budget can be used to support local community priorities and the well-being of the area identified by the Local Area Forum (LAF) through its local area planning process.

3.2 The LAF is required to review its priorities every 2-3 years. The Beeches priorities were last reviewed in March 2014. The current priorities are:

 Young people  Older and vulnerable people  Traffic calming and environmental improvements.

3.3 The LAF may choose to have Actionable and Strategic priorities. Actionable priorities will be addressed directly, including by using LAF funding and officer time to take them forwards. The LAF will monitor and lobby on behalf of Strategic priorities.
