Still, even in the face of threats both new and old, Columbia County Assistant Supervisor of Elections Tomi Brown said the system deserves the public’s trust. Brown “It’s a new day with new challenges,” Brown wrote in an email to the Lake City Reporter. “But the election community is very resilient and very adaptive.” The perception that elections are extremely vulnerable to attacks is spreading fast, Brown wrote.
