POTTON TOWN COUNCIL News Winter Edition 2018 www.pottontowncouncil.co.uk Potton’s Tribute Sunday 11th November 2018 A Day of Commemorative Events marking the Centenary of the end of the First World War. 10.15am Battle’s O’er Jennifer Huntley-Prinn will play Battle’s O’er on Northumbrian pipes in front of the Library in the Market Square. 10.15am Remembrance Day Service In front of the Library in the Market Square. 10.30am Remembrance Parade Remembrance Parade commences to the War Memorial, Sandy Road, Potton. 11am Laying of the Wreaths War Memorial, Sandy Road, Potton. 6.50pm Tribute to the Millions Message to be read out by DL Paul Fuller. 6.55pm The Last Post Bugler or trumpeter sounds the last post in front of the Library in the Market Square. Volunteer required. 7pm WW1 Beacon of Light Potton’s Beacon will be lit by DL Paul Fuller and Chairman Angus Macdonald in front of the Library in the Market Square. 7.05pm Ringing Out for Peace St Mary’s Church will ring out their bells in celebration of Peace. 7.05pm A Cry for Peace Cry for Peace. Volunteer required. 7.10pm – 10pm Armistice Projection Potton resident, Ram Malocca, will provide an Armistice projection on the side of The Coach House, Market Square. Timetable is subject to change.
