When considering where in the room to place an extractor fan, you must consider the wet areas. If the performance required falls between two fans, it is recommended you select the one handling the most air, as grille type and duct run length will reduce the stated ‘free air’ performance.

The wet area zone guide (shown on the previous page) will help you decide the most suitable physical installation to meet your requirements. Within the various mounting options there are other features available, such as:

K series is designed for installation in ducts and the KV is designed to be used as a wall mounted duct-connected extract fan. All the K/KV-fans have a minimum 25 mm long spigot connections. The fans have backward-curved blades and external rotor motors. To simplify installation the K-fan has a ﬁ xing bracket together with screws for mounting the bracket included as standard.

The Vent-Axia ACM range of Mixed Flow Inline fans are designed for use with both rigid and ﬂ exible ducting.

They offer two and half times the pressure of conventional axial fans and are dimensionally more compact (making them ideal for many ducted applications).

The impeller blade design with guide vanes provides optimum pressure characteristics. The ACM Mixed Flow inline fan can operate in both horizontal and vertical positions.
