To have a great event, it requires quite a bit of organization and some creativity. What To Do First Planning an event requires the event organizer to coordinate dozens of details and several individuals. Being ahead of the game is always the best way to ensure that your event will be a success. Regardless of the type of event you are planning, you need to have a topic or an idea of what your goals are for the event. T ypes of Events : • corporate events • office parties • fund-raisers • celebrations/parties • conferences • educational seminars • public lecture with an expert speaker • video showing • public debate between 2 experts Basic “Pieces” of an Event There are several elements that are frequently part of special events. They include: • Topic or goal • A planning team • Budget • Facilities • Event program • Guest services • Event materials • Evaluation • And many more! Topic or Goal • Choosing a topic (for a seminar or conference), a financial goal (for a fundraiser), a program (for a celebration/party), or just a basic purpose for the event. The term Nutfield was used by the first settlers to describe a large area of land known for the abundance of nut trees. This area was comprised of what later became separate towns including Derry, Londonderry and Windham. The respective Historical Societies and Commission of these three towns have joined efforts to plan a 2 7 5th Anniversary Celebration of the Nutfield Frontier. In planning this celebration, our intentions are to invite every community group, school and organization to join in and adopt the Nutfield Frontier theme in any 1994 event. We have been working on many ideas and would be willing to assist these groups in promoting their activities. The Committee would appreciate your approval in making this an official celebration. We ask for your endorsement and look forward to sharing in the spirit of Nutfield with you! • List of Directv Channels (United States)
List of DirecTV channels (United States) Below is a numerical representation of the current DirecTV national channel lineup in the United States. Some channels have both east and west feeds, airing the same programming with a three-hour delay on the latter feed, creating a backup for those who missed their shows. The three-hour delay also represents the time zone difference between Eastern (UTC -5/-4) and Pacific (UTC -8/-7). All channels are the East Coast feed if not specified. High definition Most high-definition (HDTV) and foreign-language channels may require a certain satellite dish or set-top box. Additionally, the same channel number is listed for both the standard-definition (SD) channel and the high-definition (HD) channel, such as 202 for both CNN and CNN HD. DirecTV HD receivers can tune to each channel separately. This is required since programming may be different on the SD and HD versions of the channels; while at times the programming may be simulcast with the same programming on both SD and HD channels. Part time regional sports networks and out of market sports packages will be listed as ###-1. Older MPEG-2 HD receivers will no longer receive the HD programming. Special channels In addition to the channels listed below, DirecTV occasionally uses temporary channels for various purposes, such as emergency updates (e.g. Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike information in September 2008, and Hurricane Irene in August 2011), and news of legislation that could affect subscribers. The News Mix channels (102 and 352) have special versions during special events such as the 2008 United States Presidential Election night coverage and during the Inauguration of Barack Obama.
