The LSU Captains were LB Micah Baskerville, WR Terrace Marshall Jr., WR Racey McMath, P Zach Von Rosenberg, S Todd Harris Jr. 2. LSU won the toss and deferred the second half. LSU kicked off and defended the northeast end zone. 3. The Tigers improve to 3-3 and 3-3 in SEC play. a. LSU is now 42-22-2 against Arkansas. b. The Tigers are now 4-2 in Fayetteville. c. The Tigers have won five straight against Arkansas and the last eight out of 10 contests. d. This was the 25th consecutive year, LSU and Arkansas battled for “The Boot”, a 24-karat gold trophy in the shape of the starts of Arkansas and Louisiana that resembles a boot. Arkansas has now claimed the trophy eight times. LSU has now claimed the trophy 16 times. e. Ed Orgeron is now 5-3 against Arkansas with a 4-0 mark at LSU. 4. Orgeron is now 42-12 as head coach of the Tigers. a. Orgeron is now 27-10 against SEC teams at LSU. b. The Tigers are 13-0 under Orgeron in games following a loss. LSU hasn’t dropped back-to-back games since 2015 when the Tigers lost three straight games during the month of November (Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss). 5. This was the 25th straight game LSU has had at least one passing touchdown. 6. It was the 14th consecutive start for WR Terrace Marshall Jr., 10th for OL Austin Deculus and 25th for S JaCoby Stevens. 7. RB Corren Norman saw his first action as a Tiger. 8. The Tigers had the most three and outs forced this season at Arkansas – 6 Offense 1) QB TJ Finley made his third start for the Tigers and is 2-1 as the starting quarterback. a) Threw his third TD pass of the season in the second quarter to give the Tigers a 10-7 lead. b) Threw his fourth TD pass of the season in the fourth quarter to give the Tigers a 27-24 lead. c) Finished the game 27-42, with a 271 yards and two touchdowns. 2) WR Racey McMath scored his fourth career TD reception and first on the season in the second quarter to give the Tigers a 10-7 lead. a) Finished the game with three catches, 48 yards, and a touchdown. 3) WR Jaray Jenkins scored his first career TD reception in the fourth quarter to give the Tigers a 27-24 lead. a) Finished the game with three catches, 43 yards, and a touchdown. 4) WR Terrace Marshall Jr. has now started in 14 consecutive games. a) Finished the game with seven catches, 57 yards, and a long of 20 yards. 5) RB Tyrion Davis-Price finished the game 24 carries, 104 yards, and one TD. a) Scored his ninth TD in his career in the second quarter – a one yard rush. i) It was his third on the season. Defense 1) S JaCoby Stevens made his 25th consecutive start in his career and had three tackles on the game. 2) LB Jabril Cox recorded his second interception of the season in the second quarter. It is the eighth in his career. a) Last LSU player with two pick 6s in a season was Ron Brooks in 2011 (28 vs. Auburn; 46 vs. Ole Miss). 3) DE Andre Anthony finished the game with four tackles and two sacks. 4) S Cordale Flott led the Tigers in tackles with five. Special Teams 1) K Cade York was 2-2 on field goals with a long of 49 yards. a) Went 3-for-3 in PATs. b) He became the 7th Tiger placekicker with 200 (kicking points only) for his career. c) It was the sixth straight game York has made a field goal. d) It’s the 11th career game for York with two or more field goals and the fourth this season. 2) PK Avery Atkins kicked 3-of-3 on kickoffs for touchbacks. 3) P Zach Von Rosenberg kicked seven punts for an average of 48.9 yards. His long was 61 yards with five inside the 20-yard line for a total of 342 yards. a) He is fifth on the all-time career list for punting yards (7,304). b) He is the second oldest player in College Football in 2020 at 30 years old. .
