An adventure out of the ordinary, in the beautiful southern region of Brazil. The state of Santa Catarina offers a stunning backdrop for a variety of adventure activities from the mountains to the coast.

We start in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz city, famous for its hot springs with medicinal properties. After that comes and São Joaquim, two of the coldest cities in Brazil. Then we go to Bom Jardim da Serra city, at the top of the fantastic Serra do Rio do Rastro. Leaving the mountains behind, we go to , where it is common to see whales between winter and spring, and also where Praia do Rosa is located, one of the 30 most beautiful bays in the world. We finish on the Santa Catarina Island of Florianópolis, considered one of the best places to live in Brazil.

DAY 1 - SATURDAY, 2018 NOVEMBER 3rd - Arrive in Florianópolis, you will be met at the airport and ​ ​ ​ transferred to the Majestic Hotel Palace. No meals included Upon arrival in Florianópolis

DAY 2 - SUNDAY, 2018 NOVEMBER 4TH - Rafting and Paragliding ● We will pick you up at Majestic Palace Hotel, 9:00 am. The private transfer will takes to Santo Amaro da Imperatriz city (39 km - 40 minutes). We begin with rafting the Cubatão River, the main water source of Florianópolis and metropolitan region. 10 km of rapids levels II, III, and possibly IV, inside a canyon. Difficulty of the rapids will depend on the water level in the canyon. ● Later on, a short transfer (11 km - 20 minutes) to Serra do Tabuleiro State Park for a paragliding jump. This state park is the largest integral protection conservation unit of Santa Catarina and occupies more than 80 thousand hectares of Atlantic and high altitude fields. The paragliding activity will be accompanied by an instructor, 625 meters high, with basic instruction before takeoff, 360º contemplation of Serra do Tabuleiro and Florianópolis. ● Transfer to Curucaca Hotel (or similar) (130 km - 2h20 min) and check-in.

DAY 3 - MONDAY, 2018 NOVEMBER 5th - Hiking, Zip lining ● In the morning (pick-up: 9 am), a light hiking activity (60 minutes) along the tracks in the hotel surroundings, where a private conservation unit is located, with native flora and fauna (anelas, cedars, trumpet trees, brazilian pine and xaxins) as well as endangered species. ● After that, a short transfer (1,3 km - 5 minutes) to visit a local winery, Vinícola Thera (or similar). Taste the good terroir wine and have a delicious lunch with local recipes. ● Afterwards, the transfer will take you to see the Véu de Noiva waterfall. There’s a small 300-meter hike to reach the waterfall, where you can see birds of local fauna such as curiós (chestnut-bellied seed finch), sabiás (trush), tico-ticos (rufous-collared sparrows), pica-paus (woodpeckers), gaturamos (violaceous) and capitão-do-mato (screaming piha) along the way. The waterfall has 62 meters of fall, sliding by great rocks. ● Moving forward, the transfer (71 km - 1h) goes to Snow Valley, an experience park founded by an immigrant family in 1960's. Surrounded by nature, you will be able to enjoy a zipline of 900 meters in two sequences, one of 700 and another of 200 meters. Its anchorages are in the symbolic tree of the region, the Araucária (Brazilian Pine), with the launch of the top of it, and an exciting descent on a valley of cascades and forest of giant xaxins. Bringing to a close, you will taste a surprise snack, very delicious and sweet, offered by Snow Valley. ● Transfer to Hotel Fazenda Rota dos Canyons (or similar) (36 km - 30 minutes).

DAY 4 - TUESDAY, 2018 NOVEMBER 6TH - Biking, Hiking ● Waking up early (pick-up: 8 am o’clock), you will go for a short transfer ride (11 km - 15 min) through the Ronda Canyon, passing by Bom Jardim da Serra Wind Farm. The transfer will continue to the end of Bom Jardim da Serra, where the most spectacular activity of the itinerary will happen! Downhill bike ride (15 km), accompanied by a support car and an instructor, by the fearsome and marvelous Serra do Rio do Rastro. Serra do Rio do Rastro is part of a stratigraphic column of the former supercontinent Gondwana in Brazil, the White Column, and has been classified as one of the Brazilian geological sites. ● After it, the transfer will take you to Imbituba (122 km - 1h50min), where it's possible to see the beautiful lakes and there will be a break for a lunch. ● Moving forward, you will get on boat in Sonho beach, Palhoça, to a ride towards Florianópolis (30 minutes). The boat will pass by the Araçatuba Island where is located an 1700's fortress, the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Fortress, a part of the “defensive triangle” of Florianópolis during Portuguese Empire in Brazil. The last stop will be in Naufragados Beach, the southernmost point in Florianópolis. Naufragados is known for being mysterious, because it's isolated (it is only possible to arrive there by boat or trail) and due some historical events such as the shipwrecks that occurred there in the 1700s (actually, the beach is named after these shipwrecks, as Naufragados literally means "shipwrecked" in Brazilian-Portuguese). From there, starts a short hike of 2,6 km through a trail surrounded by Atlantic Forest. A few meters ahead it's possible to see the ruins of an old lighthouse, the Farol dos Naufragos (The Lighthouse of the Shipwrecks), built around 150 years ago. At the end there is the neighborhood of Caieira da Barra Sul. ● Transfer to Jurerê Beach Village (54 km - 1h30min). DAY 5 - WEDNESDAY, 2018 NOVEMBER 7TH ● Transfer to Florianópolis Airport. ● Tip: As you must arrive in Campo Grande Airport up to November 7th 4:00pm, we recommend you to be aware with your flight schedule, since the flights from Florianópolis Airport to Campo Grande usually takes 5 hours (with stops in or Brasilia). There’s no direct flight between these two airports.

Please, be aware about your vaccines. Brazil does not require the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis, but the Ministry of Health strongly recommends that international tourists be previously updated with their vaccines, especially vaccines against yellow fever, poliomyelitis, measles and rubella.

INSURANCE To be a part of our adventure, is required that you have an insurance for medical and/or personal accident risks. Make sure that your insurance will cover the activities included on our itinerary.

MONEY The currency in Brazil is (BRL) and is the only money accepted in the country. Dollar USD and Euro can easily be exchanged.

THINGS TO CONSIDER Even if Santa Catarina is a safe place in Brazil, please, keep your things in storage and be aware with your stuff. Your luggage will be transported by our vehicle to your accommodation each night with all safety.

LANGUAGE The official language in Brazil is Portuguese, slightly different from Portuguese from . Don't expect bilingual treatment (supermarket, stores, restaurants, etc) in other language, is not very common, but it's possible to maybe meet people who have a little knowledge of English and Spanish.

ACTIVITIES For all activities we recommend you to use sunscreen and comfortable clothing to practice sports. We will provide your equipment when it’s necessary, but you can bring yours if you want it.
