Durham Bulls VIP Fan Experience Sweepstakes OFFICIAL RULES Durham Bulls VIP Fan Experience Sweepstakes ELIGIBILITY: Open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years or older as of May 1, 2019 and are members of Coastal Credit Union in good standing at the time of the drawings. Employees of Coastal Credit Union and/or the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Company Inc., as well as of any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, advertising and sweepstakes agencies, and suppliers (collectively the “Employees”), along with such Employees’ immediate family members (defined as parent, spouse, child, sibling or grandparent, and the spouse of any of them) and/or other persons living in the same household as Employees, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. AGREEMEMENT TO RULES: By participating in this Sweepstakes, each participant warrants that s/he (i) meets the stated eligibility requirements; (ii) has complied with, and will continue to comply with all the rules, regulations, terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules; (iii) has not perpetrated and will not perpetrate any fraud or deception in connection with this Sweepstakes; and (iv) has not sought to influence the outcome other than by participating as expressly permitted in these Official Rules. In addition, by participating in this Sweepstakes, the participant also agrees to accept the decisions of Coastal Credit Union and/or the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc. as final and binding as they relate to conducting this Sweepstakes and choosing the winners pursuant to these Official Rules. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: Begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on May 20, 2019, and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on August 30, 2019. One (1) winner, except for the June 1, 2019 ballgame where two (2) winners are selected, will be selected the Friday before each game day during this time period via a random drawing. The first such drawing will be on Friday, May 31, 2019. A total of eight (8) winners will get selected during the Sweepstakes period HOW TO ENTER: To enter electronically, participants must visit Coastal 24.com/Bulls, click on the “Enter Contest” radio button, complete the required fields and submit. One entry allowed per qualifying participant during each 2-week period immediately preceding each drawing. To enter via U.S. mail, on a 3" x 5" postcard, hand print your name, street address, city, state, zip code, area code and telephone number, and email address and mail to: Durham Bulls Baseball Club, Attn.: Bulls/Coastal VIP Contest, 409 Blackwell Street, Durham, NC 27701. One entry allowed per qualifying participant during each 2-week period immediately preceding each drawing. Mail-in entries must be postmarked during the applicable 2-week period and received by the date of the drawing. All mail in entries become property of Coastal Credit Union and the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc. and will not be returned or acknowledged. Neither Coastal Credit Union nor the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc. are responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected or postage due entries. Coastal Credit Union and/or the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc. may grant the right to add additional entries deemed necessary or appropriate under these Official Rules. Page 1 PRIZE: Each winner will be awarded a Durham Bulls VIP Experience that includes four (4) Premium Club tickets, with food and beverage in the PNC Triangle Club, to watch a Durham Bulls baseball game and post-game fireworks from the Durham Bulls dugout. Total ARV $200. The Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Company Inc. reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. The prize package cannot be redeemed for cash. Prizes are non-assignable and non-transferable. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. Any other incidental expenses relating to a prize and not specified herein are also the sole responsibility of the winner. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. RANDOM DRAWING: Each winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received during the applicable time frame. The drawing will be held by an employee of the Durham Bulls at the main office located at 409 Blackwell Street, Durham, NC 27701. Participants need not be present to win. The decisions by the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc. on all matters related to the winners of this Sweepstakes shall be final and binding. All participants selected as potential winners must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements stated herein. NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified by e-mail and/or by phone, at the discretion of the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc. Winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability and Publicity Release at the time of accepting their prize, or an alternate winner will be selected. If a prize notification is undeliverable, it will result in disqualification and the corresponding prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a subsequent random drawing. By accepting a prize, the winner unconditionally and irrevocably grants Coastal Credit Union and the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc. exclusive permission and the right to publish the winner’s name and photograph and allow all other appropriate publicity relating to the winner’s participation in the Sweepstakes. GENERAL LIABILITY RELEASE: By entering the Sweepstakes, participants agree to these Official Rules and on behalf of themselves, their agents, attorneys, assigns, successors, personal representatives and heirs, release Coastal Credit Union and the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc., along with all f their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, shareholders, officers, directors, employees, members, partners, advertising and sweepstakes agencies, agents, representatives, and attorneys, and any of their respective successors, assigns, heirs, executors, and administrators, from any and all liability, claims, damages, demands, causes of action, costs and expenses (including reasonable counsel fees) the participant may have now and in the future, no matter how caused, arising out of, or in connection with (i) participation in the Sweepstakes and/or their acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; and (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries. Each participant also agrees that neither Coastal Credit Union nor the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting is responsible for any typographical or other error in the advertising of the Sweepstakes, the printing of these Official Rules, the administration of the Sweepstakes or the announcement of the winners/prizes. Page 2 PUBLICITY RELEASE: By participating in this Sweepstakes, the participant grants Coastal Credit Union, the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc. and their respective agents, assigns, designees and successors, an irrevocable, perpetual license to use the participant’s name, image, likeness, and/or status as a member of Coastal Credit Union for any advertising, educational and/or promotional purposes as determined by Coastal Credit Union and/or the Durham Bulls/Capitol Broadcasting Inc. in their sole discretion.     Minor League Baseball – PDC And Relationship With Major League Baseball The National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues, now known as Minor League Baseball comprises teams that are independently owned and operated from Major League Baseball Franchises. The Las Vegas Aviators Professional Baseball team is owned and operated by Summerlin Baseball Club LLC. The Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball team is Owned/Managing Partner, John Fisher. Minor League Teams are then directly “affiliated” with one Major League team through a standardized Player Development Contract (PDC). Minor and Major League teams may enter into a PDC for a two- or four-year term and may reaffiliate at the expiration of a PDC term. The purpose of the PDC is to develop players available to play in the Major Leagues on demand. The manager, coaching staff, trainer, strength coach and players of the Triple-A affiliate are employed by the Major League affiliate through the PDC.
