National Service Scheme NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP ORGANISED BY NSS OF CAUVERY COLLEGE FOR WOMEN The National Integration Camp was conducted by NSS of Cauvery College for Women being sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Affairs. The NIC camp was organized from 26th June to 2nd July 2008. Students from different states such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu resided as one family binding unity and integrity being the need of the hour in our country. ACHIEVEMENTS OF NSS VOLUNTEERS AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL Ms. Preethi Priyadarshini NSS Volunteer participated in Republic Day parade held at New Delhi from 31.12.2007 – 02-02-2008. Ms.R.Nishanthi NSS volunteer participated in Republic Day Parade held at New Delhi from 31.10.2007-02.02.2008. Ms.Vandhana NSS Volunteer attended the Republic Day Parade on 05.02.2007 at New Delhi. Ms.Krithika participated in Pre Republic Day Parade at Cherthala, Kerala for 10 day Parade Camp from 01.11.2005 – 10.11.2005. Ms.Elakkia and Ms.Sivapradha participated in Pre-Republic Day Parade from 02.11.2008 - 09-11-2008 at Kerala. Ms.Preethi Priyadarshini participated in National Integration Camp held at J.J.College of Engineering, Trichy and received a gold medal. Ms.Safa Basheer attended the National Integration Camp at Chennai from 03.04.2007 – 09.04.2007. R.Hena Devaranjani NSS Volunteer participated in the North East North East Youth Festival 2009 National Youth Convention Nagaland during 8th to 10th of October 2009 at IG stadium Kohima. Asrin Nisha and Delphina, NSS Volunteers participated in the All India Inter University Youth Exchange Camp from December 20th -30th 2009 at Jiwaji University Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). Ms.R.K.Raghavi and Ms.Nalini Selvi, NSS Volunteers participated in the Pre Republic Day Parade Camp at MAM College, Tiruchirappalli from 11.10.2010 to 20.10.2010. Ms.S.Pavithra, NSS Volunteer participated in the 15th National Youth Festival at Bhuvaneshwar, Orissa during 08.01.2010 to 12.01.2010. Ms.R.K.Raghavi participated in the National Integration Camp held at Jaipur, Rajasthan from 12.01.2011 – 16.01.2011. Ms. N. Karpagam participated in the Pre-Republic Day Parade at Trivandrum from 22nd - 31st October 2011. Ms. A.J. Rufina Amreen participated in the National Youth Convention at Mangalore from 12.01.2012 to 16.01.2012 Ms. N. Karpagam of II BCA, NSS Volunteers participated in the Winter Adventure Camp held at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute, Himachal Pradesh from 21.03.2012 - 30.03.2012. ACHIEVEMENTS OF NSS PROGRAMME OFFICERS AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL Programme Officer Rita Shanthakumar participated in Pre – Republic Day Parade at Cherthala, Kerala as a Contingent Leader for Tamil Nadu Team from 01.11.2005 to 10.11.2005. Programme Officer Dr.Mrs.G.Kanaga participated in the National Integration Camp held at Rajasthan from 14.08.2008 to 20.08.2008. NSS AWARD FOR BEST INSTITUTION The NSS of Cauvery College for Women received the Best Institution Award from Bharathidasan University in 2001. The NSS of Cauvery College for Women bagged the Best Institution Award 2007-2008 from Bharathidasan University. NSS AWARDS FOR NSS PROGRAMME OFFICERS Mrs. Rita Shantha Kumar, NSS Programme Officer received the STATE AWARD for the Best NSS Programme Officer, 2007-2008 at Chennai from the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. Dr.Mrs.G.Kanaga participated in the National Integration Camp held at Rajasthan, from 14.08.2008 -20.08.2008 and won the Best Programme Officer Award. Dr. A.R. Gomathi, NSS Programme Officer received the STATE AWARD for the Best NSS Programme Officer 2009 - 2010 at Chennai from the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. UNIVERSITY AWARDS FOR PROGRAMME OFFICERS Dr.Jeryda Anand received the Best Programme Officer Award of Bharathidasan University 2004-2005. Mrs.Rita Shantha Kumar received the Best Programme officer Award of Bharathidasan University 2006-2007. Dr.G.Kanaga received the Best Programme Officer Award of Bharathidasan University 2007-2008. Dr.A.R.Gomathi received the Best Programme Officer Award of Bharathidasan University 2008-2009. NSS STATE AWARDS FOR NSS VOLUNTEERS MS. Preethy Priyadarshini, NSS volunteer received the State Award for Best Volunteer of NSS 2007-2008 at Chennai. Ms.Neha Solanki received the State Award for Best Volunteer of NSS 2004-2005 at Chennai. Ms.Deena Prisicilla received the State Award for Best Volunteer for NSS 2005-2006 at Chennai. NSS UNIVERSITY AWARDS Ms.Safa Basheer received the best NSS volunteer award for 2006-2007 Ms.Vandana participated in the Republic Day Parade Camp at New Delhi, and received the Best NSS Volunteer Award 2006 – 2007. Ms.R.Vaishnavi received the best NSS volunteer award for 2007-2008 Ms.S.Shivaprada received the best NSS volunteer award for 2007-2008 Ms.R.Ranjani received the best NSS volunteer award for 2007-2008 Ms.Rihana Begam received the best NSS volunteer award for 2007-2008 2011 - 2012 NSS VOLUNTEER AWARDAT THE UNIVERSITY LEVEL Miss S.Bakkiyalakshmi receives the Best NSS Volunteer Award from the Vice Chancellor of Bharathidasan University, Dr K. Meena. Miss A.J.Rufina Amreen participated in the National Youth Convention held at Mangalore from 12.01.2012 to 16.01.2012. The Principal of the college Dr.Mrs.V.Sujatha and the Programme Officers received the Best Institution Award for the year 2012-2013 from the Vice Chancellor of Bharadhidasan University.
