A Report on Awareness Programme Road Show On 31th March 2016 Under, Badhte Kadam Scheme of The National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities. Details of Activity undertaken With the collaboration of The National Trust, for the welfare of people with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, under BadhteKadamScheme,ManovikasCharitable Societyorganized a Road Show on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day and World Autism Awareness Day for the awareness and sensitization amongst the society, and community at large through the NukkadNatak’sabout children’s and peoples with disabilities, and their rights. The aim is aware the society and community about the autism, mental retardation, multiple disability and cerebral palsy. 2 NukkadNatak performed on Autism and Mental Retardation by the Students of Diploma in Education, Special Education, Mental Retardation. (D.Ed. SE MR) 1st Year. at Jagatpuri red light, near Krishna Nagar, Delhi 110051 there were around 300 people were stopping and watching the play. These 2 Natak’s were repeated at all the places 2 NukkadNatak performed on Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Disability by the Students of Diploma in Education, Special Education, Mental Retardation.(D.Ed. SE MR) 2nd Year at Jagatpuri red light, near Krishna Nagar, Delhi 110051, These 2 Natak’s were also repeated at all the places The Road Show is an initiative to create awareness about the disabled, who are talented and skilleddespite of disability. People with disability also have their own rights and other people should have to accept them and their needs. All the staff of Manovikas and trainees were divided into 4 different groups and each group performed a different NukkadNatak on different disability. The Road Show on disability at different area and communities of East Delhi and North East Delhi. Our teachers were also participated in this initiative not as a character of play but to encourage trainees and to give them their guidance support and courage. Around 1000’s of peoples were there to watch our show and the banners we have after playing all shows we distributed pamphlets to all people who were there to watch us and many them also come to us for their queries some of them also from the next 2-3 days we had received the calls from the parents for their queries….. Overall the initiative to aware peoples succeeds. Manovikas provided the stipend, refreshment and certificate to the trainees who are engaged and paly the NukkadNatak’s B.1. Event organized The activity has organized on 31.03.2016 at 10:00am to 4:00pm at Manovikas Jagat Puri, Manovikas-Bhavya Early Risers Shahdara, Shanti Nursing Home Panchsheel Garden, CBR area Sunder Nagri and our proposed Day Care Centre at Ashok Nagar. We played 4 NukkadNatak’s at each place. B.2. Target audience and target location and Number of people attended The Programme was started from Manovikas Charitable Society, Jagat Puri crossing red light, the area is one of the most congested colonies with a population of around 3.5 lakh. It has one of highest Muslim population which are workers in the Factory of East Delhi constituency at 22%. It is surrounded by othercolonies including Geeta Colony, Krishna Nagar, Gagan Vihar, Karkardoom Village, Dayanand Vihar under this Assembly Constituency are RaghubarPura, Mahila Colony, Chand Mohalla, Shanti Mohalla, Rajgarh Colony, Subhash Road, Ram Nagar, Amar Mohalla, Kailash Nagar, Nanak Basti, GhasMandi, SubhashMohalla, Ajit Nagar, Dharampura, Jain Mohalla, Lal Quarter, Chander Nagar, Shankar Nagar and JheelKhuranja. etc. and then move to Manovikas’s Early Intervention Center and its Extension Project - Bhavya Early Risers, Shahdara, Panchsheel Garden, in east Delhi. Shahdara may also refer to the trans Yamuna region in general shahdara contains two municipal zones (Shahdara North and Shahdara South) The suburbs area of the project shll be ew modern shahdara, Naveen Shahdara, Gorakh Park, Ram Nagar, BholaNath Nagar, Mansarovar Park, GoverdhanBihari Colony, Vishwas Nagar, Bhikam Singh, Shalimar Park, Subhash Park, Mohan ark, Chhota Bazar, Rohtash Nagar, Balbir Nagar, Jwala Nagar, Seelampur, Zafrabad, Maujpur, etc. nNandNagri, Sunder Nagri and then we moving forward to Ashok Nagar is covered by the Bhajanpura, Karawal Nagar, Meet Nagar, Shiv Vihar, WazirabadRoad,Durga Puri, Ashok Nagar, Jyoti Nagar and Loni Road in the North East Delhi District of Delhi. The area and locality is bounded by the huge slums of Delhi is Sunder Nagri, NandNagri, Seema Puri, BhagwanpurKhera, Mandoli, Sai Dham, Harsh Vihar, Jagat Puri, ChaderLok, Gokulpuri, Johripur, Dilshad Colony, DLF Etc. This project will cover about 30-40 Km area having about 3 lakhs population and more than 200 people having disability. Which covered the middle income commercial cu residential area in the East Delhi District and North East Delhi District of Delhi in the Trans Yamuna. We got the good response from the media the coverage done by the some of the Newspapers by Ms. Vini Aggarwal, Governing Member of Manovikas and our PR We sent the letter SHO of the area of Shahdara, NandNagri, Sunder Nagri,Jyoti Nagar and Krishna Nagar, Jagat Puri for permission of played the NukkadNatak’sand attending the programme. Sent the invitation letter to MLA Gandhi Nagar, MLA Krishna Nagar, MLA Ashok Nagar, MLAShahdara. .
